But when his efforts turn up startling clues about a decades-old, top-secret government operation, he's plunged headfirst into a tangled web of danger and conspiracy.

As the truth about America's troubled past starts to emerge, Reed forges a path into the heart of the Fort Knox depository. With the world teetering on the brink of oblivion, he battles to solve a breathtaking mystery that could save the global economy … or shatter it into millions of pieces!

David Meyer is an author, marble-maze builder, sock puppet aficionado, wannabe cartoonist, a creator of some things and breaker of others, a yogi and martial artist, and the owner of the reddest hair you’ve ever seen.

He’s a man of few apps, but many books. Creatively, he prefers to work in circles, following “the pull” rather than pushing. He’s tried—and abandoned—nearly every productivity tool known to man. He likes new ideas, old stories, and the big picture. He dislikes small talk, busyness, and infinite scrolling.

He’s married to the wife of his youth, who knows his worst, yet loves him best. He’s also father to who just happen to be his two favorite children of all time.

I’m an unabashed fan of David Meyer and wasn’t disappointed with his latest Cy Reed adventure…it’s the best Cy Reed book yet! Hang onto your hat…you’re about to enter a labyrinth of tangled conspiracies and government secrets. The twists and turns are amazing, and guaranteed to keep you up at night wondering what’s going to happen next.

In this book, the author begins to unveil the secrets behind Cy Reed’s family and all the characters literally jump to life. The plot involves billions of dollars of gold bullion and a mystery that takes Cy Reed deep into Fort Knox as the world teeters on the brink of financial oblivion.

This is a great series of books and I can’t wait for the next chapter!

David Meyer is back!

This book is so much better than the previous, Vapor, I had to make sure it was by the same author. The writing style is much better and the novel is well edited. I guess ditching the outline approach to writing has worked for Mr. Meyer. I loved it.

Good series

I read this whole series & enjoyed it . The hero is an interesting & entertaining fellow. I hope Mr Meyer writes more adventures of Cy & his friends . There is not a lot of unnecessary padding so it's a quick read which is good because it's hard to put down!

I hope there will be more of Cy Reed to come!

As this book is a very recent release, I know it will be awhile, if at all, before Cy Reed is pulled into another detailed and exciting adventure! As I finished each book in this series, I've never been disappointed, and I never want the last page to be the last page -- I always want more!

Cy Reed's quests are tales that stretch my imagination. This author has not failed, in this book or the other four, to provide a well written, unbelievably detailed tale, with pretty much everything you want in a suspenseful action adventure and a rollicking good time!
