Worst set of books that I have ever read. Ridiculous, juvenile, and amateurish, doesn’t even begin to describe the plot. And yes, I mean plot, not plots, because every single one has the exact same plot! The characters are all totally one sided and ridiculous. The proofreading is non existent. I stuck it out to the very end and I will give credit where credit is due, in the very last book only ONE character had the incredibly unimaginative and very annoying, alliterate initials. This is one author that I will make a point of never reading again, assuming she wrote more that this one, or three, or ten? Like I said, they are all basically the same story.
Heroine has appointment with friend/client. Heroine arrives and sees multiple people, including friend, argue with and possibly threaten someone. That ‘someone’ gets killed. Heroine has perfect alibi (is at ice cream shop, pie shop, bakery, etc) but her friend becomes a suspect. Heroine decides to investigate to clear her friend. Heroine confronts each suspect and learns nothing. Heroine hears an offhand comment like “you can’t judge a book by its cover” and suddenly KNOWS who the killer is. Heroine confronts killer, killer confesses and tries to kill her, police pop out of the shrubbery and make an arrest.
