Boiling Point

Pathetic.
Needy.
Untrusting.

Emily Brinkman hears all these descriptions in her head, all the things she knows others are thinking when she joins her boyfriend, Clay “Jet” Smith, on tour with his band. It doesn’t matter that she’s going as his PA as well; she knows she’s being judged…but she also knows that the people watching are half right.

Hot.
Tight.
Fine.

Clay can hear what all the men around him think of his sweet girlfriend and he loves having Emily join him on tour. To this woman, he’s not just a one-dimensional axe-slinging guitar god. She loves him and wants the best for him, and she won’t tell him something just because it’s what he wants to hear. But Clay didn’t stop to realize that all the guys on tour--from the roadies to security and even their frontman--would appreciate that Emily is a nice piece of ass. He will need to learn to trust her if their relationship is going to survive.

Will Clay and Emily survive the bumps on the road or will their time on tour drive them apart?

Clay/Jet and Emily are off to a rocking start with the tour kicking off and their love/work relationship on the line. Is Emily able to deal with the sweet big hearted Clay vs his onstage persona Jet who is confident, unyielding and ever so sexy? (Not that he isn’t sexy as Clay!) Of course when the girlfriend goes on the tour bus everyone thinks that it is for her to keep an eye on her man which is not the case for Emily that is until Debbie starts planting those little seeds of doubt in her mind. Emily is Clay’s PA so she has every mind to make sure that she does her job…along with being Clay’s sexy girlfriend as well.

Clay has been burned himself when his ex sneaks behind his back having an affair that totally catches Clay off guard. How do you get past that and learn to trust someone you love especially when you hear guys on this tour talking about her sweet little tight ass. Jet can handle it; it’s Clay that starts to have doubts even if they aren’t warranted. Clay does the only thing he knows how to do to protect himself and that put up walls and let Jet take over. Maybe Jet takes over a little too much though because Emily has noticed a big change in Clay. Is she really after him only because of his star status and the money that goes along with it?

How are these two going to learn to trust one another with so many outside forces at work and will being on this tour as a couple be one of their worst mistakes? Be ready for some intense chemistry between them and see if Debbie is able to not only get Emily to doubt Clay but if she is able to convince Jet to take a little walk on the wild side like any rock star would do. I cannot wait to see what the divine Ms. Jameson has in store for this band!

Boiling Point , Feverish 1.5 by Jade C. Jamison
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Oh Clay…Sigh…but HELLO Jet!! It’s been a looong time since we hooked up. *wiggles eyebrows and whispers* Don’t tell Melinda or Daddy Brad…M’Kay???
So our party boy/Wild Man has settled down with sweet little PA, Emily. All is good in their little world but now the REAL World comes crashing down on them. Jet has to go on tour. Emily is a wreck because she is listening to one of the band members girlfriends spew trash about the life of dating a rocker. Clay is acting more and more like Jet to Emily’s liking plus the roadies treat her like crap. Jet can’t handle his own insecurities about Emily’s love. Is it because he is a rocker with bundles of money or does she really love Clay and his sweet sensitive heart??
This book our couple goes through it all. They are so excited to be together and keep their little “love cloud” a rolling that they start to let other people’s views and perceptions get in the way of their happiness.
I loved Emily realizing that Jet’s attitude isn’t so bad when you need to get stuff done. I also loved how Clay felt real pride in his woman when he realized she was much respected in her line of work. If only the two can talk and not just sweep things under the carpet until the bomb goes off……

Clay/Jet takes Emily on tour with the band. Both are excited to spend time together in a different environment, but the stress of the tour takes its toll. Emily is frustrated by her inability to gain the respect of the roadies and feels she and Clay have no privacy. Debbie, girlfriend of another band mate, is driving her crazy, thinking they’re friends and poisoning Emily’s confidence in her relationship with Clay. Meanwhile, Clay keeps hearing comments about how hot Emily is and becomes convinced she’s going to cheat on him. He allows his Jet personality to take over because Clay is feeling insecure. Unfortunately, Jet is unwilling to discuss his feelings with Emily and she starts to feel like Clay doesn’t really care about her. It’s an interesting POV, inside of Clay’s head. He uses Jet as a persona to protect his heart, and the more insecure he feels, the more he relies on Jet’s bravado. This is driving Emily further away, to the point that she is debating leaving. This particular book is more of a psychological exploration of the insecurities that drive people, even (perhaps especially) those who appear the most confident. It also highlights the importance of communication. It’s a very short book, with a bonus “chapter” of the two of them on Valentine’s Day. It’s the perfect length to explore the Clay/Emily/Jet dynamic and build a stronger connection between them.

I fell in love with Clay “Jet” in Feverish, book three in the Bullet series. Boiling Point is the start of the Feverish spinoff series and I can’t wait to see what Jade has in store for us.
This is a glimpse of what life is like for Emily and Clay as LFS heads out on tour. Emily is in a whole new world with touring. The snide, sexist comments and looks from the crew are unnerving. She is NOT there to keep an eye on her boyfriend…they want to be together, plus as his PA, she has a job to do as well. Add in Debbie and her callous comments and suggestions that her relationship with Clay will get muddied and complicated due to the rock-star life, and Clay’s strange cold behavior, Emily begins to second guess everything.
Clay’s insecurities and jealousy amp up when he hears the way the crew is talking about her, looking at her. He begins to wonder why she is with him. Is it the fame and fortune, or is she with him for him? The betrayal Abby put him through has him keeping up the “Jet” persona more and more-putting up the walls, being more distant and cold.
Will they survive life on the tour or will they get pulled under by outside forces and internal turmoil?
I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to give anything away, but I was definitely left wanting so much more and very excited for this series! I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of Debbie…I don’t like her already! With this being a novella and the kick-off to the new Feverish series, I know there will be all the angst, drama, backstage craziness, sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll Jade is known for in the novels to come. She is after all our Queen of Rock Romance!

I really loved all of the books in the Bullet series and we were introduced to Clay/Jet in book #3...so this novella takes place after Feverish, Clay and Emily's story...as Clay and Emily hit the road on tour. Emily is not only Clay's girlfriend, but his PA and she must struggle to deal with the sexist comments and degrading behavior of some of the crew members on the tour bus (as well as venue staff). Add into this scenario, the insecure and mouthy Debbie who takes it upon herself to enlighten Emily as to what she can expect from touring with the band , and it begins a whole mess of trouble and misunderstandings that threaten to rock the foundation of Emily and Clay's relationship.
I enjoyed getting to see the various different dynamics between of all the players (crew/band, Emily/crew, Debbie/Emily) and especially Emily/Jet/Clay...the dual personas of Clay the man and Jet the rockstar and how it affects Emily. It was an insightful look at behind the scenes and what fans see vs what really happens.
We also get a Valentine's treat short story included showing a sweet and more tender side of Clay and Emily's relationship. Good stories...I just wish they were longer.
I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.

This book is a Novella and should be read after Feverish or you will definitely miss out on the fun chase between Emily and Clay. In this book you follow these two as they go on the road together with the band on tour. You will get to read about the fun ways they have to be creative in the romance department. lol

Ohhhh Emily and Clay.... they also have to figure out how to trust each other while on tour. Emily hearing about groupies and "anything and everything" girls will do to get with a Rock Star and then there is Clay "Jet" hearing other bandmates, roadies talking about his HAWT ass girlfriend.
He will need to learn to trust her if their relationship is going to survive.

Will Clay and Emily survive the bumps on the road or will their time on tour drive them apart?

I gave this book 5 iScream Books Stars!! I really enjoyed reading this follow up of Feverish, I do have to say, there was soo much fun, lovey, dovey in book one and then this one had some jealousy
issues to deal with and I was about to smack these two back into their senses...lmao Anyway..loved this book and cant wait to read more by Jade!!! : )

Clay aka “Jet” is hitting the road with his band and girlfriend Emily and we get a glimpse of the shenanigans that ensue while being on the road with a bunch of cocky rockers.

Emily continues to take the hits, as people just see her as Clay’s tag along girlfriend, and not the PA she’s trying so hard to be. She doesn’t want to be seen as simple eye candy, and adding to the mix of frustration is Debbie, the overbearing girlfriend of a fellow band mate.

Clay turns on the jealous streak when he sees the way the guys talk about Emily, and wonders if she’s playing into the gossip. It gets the better of him, and they both start to play the “who’s to blame” game and wonder if they have a future, or will the gossip and lies take over.

Boiling Point is a novella that starts off the Feverish spinoff series, and it focuses on the hotness that is Clay aka Jet and his band. Clay is bringing his girlfriend Emily out on tour and we get a look into the chaos and antics Emily has to ensue being on the road with a bunch of rockers with attitudes.

Emily takes a lot of grief right off the bat, people just seeing her as eye candy, and not the PA to Clay she’s trying to be. She doesn’t want to be seen as a joke, and not helping matters is Debbie, the overbearing girlfriend of a fellow band mate.

Clay turns on the jealousy and attitude when he sees and hears the way the other guys talk about Emily, and wonders if she’s playing a part in any way. It gets the best of him, and they both start to play the blame game and wonder if they have a future together, or will the negativity win out. It’s the beginning of a crazy ride, and with the queen of rock, Jade C. Jamison at the forefront, who knows what’s in store!

I loved this book. I really like Clay and Jet, but man can Jet be a pain in the butt.

I love how you get to see both of their insecurities--and in spades too.

I totally get why Jet is like he is---it for self-preservation.

I agree that I wish it had been longer--but that is what a novella is. Just makes you want the next book that much more.

I can see that their insecurities will play a big part in the upcoming books. But can't wait to read them.

I think I could do with Debbie too! But I can't wait for Emily to come into her own. I can see it now......

I really enjoyed this novella by Jade C. Jamison. I love the Bullet/Feverish series, and this was the perfect little addition. So often, we don't see what happens after the book ends unless there is a sequel, and oftentimes the sequels touch on other couples and not the original ones. So it was really cool to see Clay/Jet and Emily again and get a sneak peek into their life together. I love that Emily went on tour with him and I enjoyed how crazy Clay is about her. A great addition to the series!

Jade the Queen of Rock has done it again, she never lets me down. It's s short story but full of hotness, its nice to read about a mans insecurities instead of it always been the woman. But these two really need to communicate otherwise it may just go to shit, because they really do love and trust each other.
The extra chapter at the end is so sweet, I need a bit of Clay/Jet in my life

I can't wait for more books with Clay & Emily, I love this couple (maybe a little more than Val & Brad and that's a big statement)

Clay " Jet" Smith is a Metal G-d. To all his fans. But to Emily he was her boss first and her boyfriend. She liked his Jet side, but SHE LOVED CLAY!!!
That is until she agreed to go on tour. Their relationship was put to a huge test. Why you may ask? All I'll say is that you have to read the book.
It was really great. And told a side to a life on the road that people probably would never care to know

I LOVE Clay/Jet and Emily but I kinda felt this story was over a little too fast and I didn't really feel the same depth to it that I usually feel from Jade C. Jamison's pieces.

With that said I still enjoyed it and had it read in under a day <3 so I hope we get more of this couple at a later date

BOILING POINT is the second book in the Feverish series. Each book in the series will stand on its own, but you'll appreciate it more if you read books in the order of release.

“And they lived happily ever after…” Well, that’s what you think when you get to the end of a romance book, right? How about more of their story? That’s what this is. How do Clay/Jet and Emily navigate the realities of living life on the tour as a new couple?

What do I love the most about this story of their relationship? I love the exploration of their insecurities and how they learn to trust one another. Their chemistry was undeniable in FEVERISH. It continues and grows beyond the lust and passion to something that is deeply seated in their hearts. I love that they build their own world, not allowing others to define them. They go through a lot to get there, but it just makes their “love cloud” stronger.

I will be starting SCORCHED as soon as I post this review. Be back soon!

Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Continuation of Emily and Clay/Jet's Story
The chemistry and love between Emily and Clay was explosive at the end of “Feverish”, but now that Emily goes on tour with Last Five Seconds as Clay’s PA and girlfriend insecurity, jealousy and trust issues arise for both Emily and Clay causing them to pull apart. Clay retreats to Jet to protect himself, but that only make things worst. This is a well written short rockstar read with hot steamy romance and raw emotion. Cannot wait to read more about Last Five Seconds.

I fell in love with Jet/Clay in Bullet, and quite honestly wanted to see more of him with Val, but I finally understand why Val and Brad belong together. That doesn't quench my desire for more, more, more of the sexy guitarist with the split personality. (Rolling my eyes with Emily on that. I am going to assume that anyone who picks up Boiling Point has already read Feverish -if not, grab them both and get mesmerized by both sides of Mr. Smith - which are much more separate in his mind than the are to anyone outside of his head.)

I still need to get reviews up of several of the books in the Bullet series, and I know Feverish is one of them. I loved it simply because I was already intrigued by and enamoured with Clay/Jet, but I have to admit it took me a really long time to warm up to Emily, and quite honestly, I don't remember it happening. But I was extremely excited to open my Kindle this morning and realize the day was finally here for me to get another fix of him. Life on the road...yes, I can easily imagine that being a challenge. The real surprise for me was that by the second page of the book I was feeling protective of Emily. Where did that come from?! But in no time at all I wanted to throat punch Debbie (yes, I do believe I've known a few Debbie's in my life, but the idea that I wanted her to leave Em alone rather than just shut up because she was an obnoxious witch, did make me rethink how I had pictured her in Feverish.)

It's not a spoiler to say that there is nothing idyllic on the road, and that our fairly new couple are going to face sides of each other they haven't even imagined before. Can they find a way to trust each other? Or more importantly, can they let go of their own demons, insecurities and pasts in order to truly see what is in front of them.

As with all of Ms. Jamison's books, novellas and short stories, this one is for adult audiences only for explicit sexual content.

The only thing I could possibly complain about is the length - it was much too short in my very non-humble and incredibly self serving opinion. The addition of a Valentine's short story from an anthology was a nice touch, and I'm going out on a limb and assuming we will see more of his guitar strumming studliness since this is billed as Feverish 1.5 - crossing everything that I can that am not wrong. Personally I woud read thousands of pages if Ms. Jamison would write them about him, but knowing that something else is in the works would make me a very happy fangirl.

Very highly recommended for all Bullet Babe's (and Boys) and any fans of rockstar romances -but if you are not familiar with the author or series, at the very least Feverish should be read first, if not all of the Bullet series. If I recall correctly, Jet makes at least an appearance in every book in the series.

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.

You have no idea how excited I was to get more of Jet/Clay. You see I have loved him the most out of all the Bullet series guys since jump. I wasn’t sure how Boiling Point could top Feverish with Clay and Emily but she did it and I fell more in love with Clay/Jet and Emily.

The time has come for the band to go on tour and Emily is going because she is Clay’s P.A. She has her insecurities tested while on the road. Between the treatment from the road crew, being on the bus with all the guys, seeing all the girls come and go, and then there is Debbie that keeps talking about all the horrible tour life things sure doesn’t help with all her insecurities.

Clay has been burned before by a love and now he is caught in his head thinking maybe Emily is like his ex. Both feel the disconnect but because of their pasts are having difficult time overcoming it and talking to each other instead of keeping it bottled up waiting for the top to explode. Jet is able to toss that brick wall up and move on but sweet Clay struggles with what he thinks is going on. Can Clay and Emily survive life on the road or will what they have fizzle out before it really gets started?

This is a great quick read and continuation of Feverish being able to see into life on the road and to see the tribulations they go through. I enjoyed Emily and her way of dealing with what is going on during the tour. I loved seeing Clay’s sweet insecure side and then seeing Clay’s alter ego side Jet come out to play. I’m so excited for this series to get to know the other band members and of course to see more of my Clay/Jet. *swoon* Clay/Jet I still love them equally from the sweet caring Clay to the down and dirty Jet I cannot get enough of them.

I want to start off by saying i love Jade's writing..i have never read one of her books that I didn't enjoy. I did enjoy this book, but i have to admit this is the first review that I didn't give a 5 start review. I love Clay/Jet and Emily's story. I guess i was just disappointed on how quickly it went by. I know it was a 1.5 book and not expected to be huge but it just didn't grab me..just as I was getting into it it was over. It certainly hasn't changed my opinion of Jade's writing..just looking forward to more.

I do recommend that everyone take the short amount of time to read this as you won't want to miss out on Clay/Jet and Emily's story but realize it's a quickie. Emily worries whether or not she can handle being on tour with Jet while Clay tries to hide behind Jet and worry what the touring world could turn Emily into...

Loving More!

I love Clay "Jet" (too much hotness for one man!) and Emily! The chemistry between them is still hot! However, with their own stories/histories, and now that they are on tour with Last Five Seconds, Clay's band. Emily has joined him as his PA & girlfriend. Will they get thru everything together or will their own separate pasts, as well as some people now, put "cold" on their heat?! This is a novella from Feverish, which is book #3 in Bullet Rock Star Series. You don't have to read the entire Bullet Series to read this, but you do have to read Feverish! This is the beginning of the spin-off series! So Feverish is book 3 and book 1, while this is the "official" one in the Feverish Series. I have loved the Bullet Series, but Clay/Jet was one of my favorite characters, so I'm so happy about this & loving more!
