Encarna Castillo nació en Barcelona. Licenciada en Filología Hispánica, es autora de "Cold Turkey" (2013), "Venta del Rayo" (2017) y "La luz en su ausencia" (2020). Ha colaborado como redactora en diversas publicaciones, como Lateral, Curator, 13 millones de naves –dedicada al cómic– o 360º –revista de tendencias–, entre otras. Además, ha trabajado como editora en el Departamento de Cómics de la editorial Planeta y en el grupo Penguin Random House. Actualmente, vive en Málaga y es profesora de Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE).
