This is the Fifth Edition, hardcover. A lot of lovely photos and lots of background on a few sites.

An amazingly interesting but detailed inventory of Italy"s most famed sights. It was my one guide I took with me when tromping across the Boot.

There was some useful information, the hints were nice, as were the photographs. (I like to read everything I can get my hands on before a trip.)

With a good balance of history, pictures, places of interest etc., this book has traveled three times to Italy with me.
