Maximum Bjork: The Unauthorised Biography of Bjork

Rate this book
CD, 62 minutes.

One of the most unlikely successes of the 1990s. Bjork shows no signs of retiring from the limelight. From Icelandic indie goddess with the Sugarcubes in the eighties, she emerged as a dance music diva and songwriter who successfully fused techno with jazz, ambient, cabaret, the classical avant-grande and more. No mere sum of her influences, Bjork is a unique figure transcending genres and refusing to be pigeon holed. This is the full story, charting her transformation from child prodigy to punk rebel and finally to the global new age superstar we know today. Maximum Bjork now tells the full and unauthorised story of her public and private life. An ideal chance for her millions of fans to discover more about one of the pop world's most true musical innovators.

Nice summary of Björk’s life since her childhood up to release of Vespertine in 2001.
Suitable for new and even long time fans - this biography puts interesting pieces of information nicely together and shows how her musical carrier was evolving and partialy explains why.
