2023: Reread as part of reconsecration to Our Lady of Fátima to finish on May 13th, the day of her first visit to the children. It is such a good reminder!

Read this as a part of the Marian Consecration with Ken and Janelle at Fátima Consecration. It is excellent! I highly recommend it. I have done Fr. Michael Gaitley's 33 Days to Morning Glory a number of times and thought I would try something different. This is very easy as Ken and Janelle don't require you to read the entire book, although the text of the book is provided through the retreat. There just happen to be 33 Chapters, so you get one chapter to read per day; how neat!

Each of the chapters is a 'call' to some type of holiness, such as, a call to faith, or a call to love, and then Lúcia draws from specifics the children encountered or heard from Our Lady at the various apparitions at Fátima. The last ten chapters review the Ten Commandments, which is an excellent examination of conscience for Confession!

Today, Feast of the Holy Rosary was our Consecration Day!

Wonderful book, wonderful Consecration!

I love Our Lady of Fatima. I love Sister Lucia. I love this book. Sister Lucia is so humble and simple, and it is in her humilty and simplicity that the voice of God rings out so clearly. Highly recommended.

Wow, to hear the account from Sr. Lucia's own lips of what they experienced and during the Fatima apparitions and later was wonderful and touching.

At first I wondered, “How can Sister Lucia write a book containing only a paragraph’s worth of the Fatima story?

But after a few chapters I realized this is the practical application of the requests or “calls” of Our Lady of Fatima: Prayer, reparation for offenses against God, sacrifice for the conversion of sinners, a call to apostolate to save our fellow man and ourselves from the fires of Hell. Every “call to action” was backed up by scripture showing how Our Lady is the Star of the Sea who wants nothing more than to lead us to her Devine Son.

"Herein lies the secret of happiness, on earth and in Heaven: in love! God loved
us and delivered Himself for love of us, writes the Apostle Saint Paul. God Loves
us and for love of us He is in our tabernacles, waiting for our humble return of
love. And God is within us, since we are temples of the adorable trinity: “Do you
not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s spirit dwells in you?” (1 Cor 3,16)"
