Witness the beautifully violent return of the world's deadliest assassin. A life spent in silent pain has led Elektra to the precipice of despair. As she prepares to shed her past and take her next step, everything you know about her will change! Death is no escape, but she will find her way as a new option opens up that will take Elektra to places no other Marvel character can go.
W. Haden Blackman is a writer who has long worked in the Star Wars universe. He is also the project lead on the MMO Star Wars: Galaxies and the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Visually, this is a beautiful book. It's that rare comic that bridges the gap between commercial and fine art. This painted book by Michael Del Mundo will just mesmerize the reader.
The story isn't bad. The script by W. Haden Blackman (Batwoman) brings Elektra back to her roots as an assassin. No Daredevil, no Kingpin and no S.H.I.E.L.D.; just her and her contracted target.
I have a feeling I will enjoy this bare bones approach. especially witht he work these creators have done on the first issue. I will be back for more.
"I am not a dancer, or an artist, or a hero. I am no longer a daughter or a lover, victim or student or slave. I am, and I will always be someone's assassin"
La historia me resultó normal, pero el arte es precioso. Quedé enamorada desde la primera página.
The story is interesting but gotta say the real deal is the art. dUUUUUDEEE, the art is simply stunning! I'm amazed and shocked of how much beautiful it is.
Elektra is a graphic novel with stunning artwork. Its some of the best I have ever seen in graphic novels. Its totally different fromt he rest in this aspect, like look at the cover! Look! Isnt it amazing?
But the storyline wasnt very interesting, it was confusing a lot of the time and really required a reread. I didn't have the chance because of library due dates. I didn't enjoy reading it, but I enjoyed looking at it.
Beautiful, beautiful vibrant artwork and coloring. I'm glad to have discovered Del Mundo through this issue. I've always been a sucker for assassin stories, especially female assassin stories, although I'm not quite sure why. I'll probably read more issues when they become available digitally on Marvel Unlimited.
