A woman born on the wind...

A Turul princess, Evie North has waited long enough for her “one true love” — a man she’s stopped believing truly exists. She throws caution—literally—to the wind and decides to take matters into her own hands. She chooses a handsome stranger from a crowd and falls into bed with him, hoping love might find her in his arms.

A human man drawn to powers beyond his comprehension...

The only thing Marcus Calais knows is that he’s likely to die in a pointless war but also honor-bound to run into battle. At least until he meets an angel named Evie in Central Park who incites stronger desires than he’s ever had and whose songs drive him to levels of passion he never imagined. After just one night with the lovely, waifish beauty, he discovers he has so much more to live for. Will he sacrifice his principles to stay alive for her?

The immortal dragon who owns both their souls...

“Ked” is what his five siblings call him, but others simply refer to the huge black dragon as The Void. He is darkness personified, but nothing is darker than the enemy he is up against. It will take true darkness to fight the evil permeating his world, and to save the female Fate intended for him. But Fate has a funny way of switching things up when he least expects. What will he find when he ventures forth into the enemy’s lair in search of love?

What other surprises does Fate have in store?

Publisher's Dragon Void is a full-length novel with a complete resolution between the characters involved. They get their Happily Ever After, but sometimes Fate doesn't make it easy.

Two words: Hot Mess

The second in this series didn't work for me at all. On any level. It's not my place to tell anyone how to do anything, particularly an author but I can say (until the cows come home) that this story is not what I wanted to read.

I would ask that you to read the blurb. I'll wait.

Now, tell me doesn't that blurb read like a ménage romance of some sort? Show of hands? Me too! Do not be hoodwinked like I was because Dragon Void isn't a romance and, yeah, I'm kinda fussy about that.

The trouble is I'm not quite sure what it is or what it wants to be. The worldbuilding gets no better in this book. I let it slide in book 1 because it was more urban fantasy but this is rife with fantasy possibilities and I found the lack of worldbuilding hugely disappointing. There are several mentions of an organization called the Ultiori but no real explanation of what they do or why they're so dreaded. There's a dragon monastery in this one! A. Dragon. Monastery. that just sits there like a... well, like a... like a monastery, I guess.

I would *think* a triad romance would primarily build the triad, show how they all contribute and bring something to the relationship, develop these characters and maybe delve into how they might work out the logistics of a potentially tricky endeavor. I would be wrong.

It took them to almost the 40% mark just to get Evie and Marcus back to the Dragon Monastery! That's just travel time, folks. Most of which one or the other of them were passed out cold from their injuries, the rest of the time is spent rehashing recent events. We got up to well past the 60% mark with flashbacks of Evie and Marcus's history which is bursting with 1960s draft remembrances and a whole lotta Vietnam era sentiments which came across slightly didactic and largely pointless considering we already knew they had history as a couple.

I thought for sure once they reached the monastery they would start coming together as a triad. Nope. I mean, they take a few trips to the bone zone and the word "mate" is bandied about but sex doesn't equate to a long-lasting relationship nor does it make a romance. Instead time was spent head hopping between the three of them with more 60s flashbacks and we even head hopped to Nikhil (Belah's ex) who's on a mission to find whatever possessed him, complete with time jumps and some clunky, quasi-forced efforts to shoehorn him into Belah's triad.

Also, did I mention that Evie's knocked up BEFORE the 50% mark? Yeah, super happy about that plot development which actually morphed into the death knell for this book.

So... SPOILERS!

Since Marcus was made immortal by Ked and his brother's blood and Marcus knocked up Evie, Evie's baby has special "needs". Namely the semen of all of them.

I'll let that sink in for a minute.

In the hands of a different author this plot twist might've worked for me, but given the fact that the three of them hadn't even convinced me of their commitment to each other to then have the female lead hit the bone zone of her brand new mate's two brothers seemed like random squirrelly storytelling to me and not really that romantic either.

Last but not least, the sex wasn't that hot. The MM scenes were vaguely insulting. I'm not going to go into specifics but there were some poorly chosen words IMO, things that made me twitchy with regard to Marcus's deflowering and just generally the whole kit and kaboodle had the words 'get correct' rumbling through my head. To add insult to injury, no kink!

The narrative is too busy for me, much of it doesn't make sense and the writing is amateurish. I highly doubt I'll be reading anything else by this author in the future nor would I recommend this series to others.

It amazes me when authors manage to take a genre that is as vast as paranormal romance and make it relatable and truly entertaining, and that is exactly what Ophelia Bell has managed to do in the second book of the Immortal Dragons series, Dragon Void. There comes a time in our lives when we all start questioning if we'll find our soul mate, the one who we are destined to be with, especially if we are alone and single after a certain time or are surrounded by friends who have found their own happily ever after. Dragon Void starts off where Dragons Blues ends - Evie had been injured and was being held captive. Once free, she decides that she must find her true love, a mate that will be able to rule by her side since she is a princess of Turul. Choosing Marcus Calais, Evie has no idea that the black dragon Ked had been selected by the Fates to be her destiny as well. As the story evolves, readers soon find out that Marcus is a warrior, human of course, and yet Ked doesn't hesitate to save him and make him immortal by sharing the blood of dragons with that of a human's -these actions seal the fat of the characters by linking them until their deaths. When I started reading Dragon Void, I knew I would be reading a paranormal/shifter genre, but to read one that had me constantly wondering what would happen next is what kept me coming back for more and thoroughly enchanted. The chemistry and the relationship (not to mention the tension) that exists between the trio had me intrigued: they were as different as can be and yet, they were amazing together. The attraction they felt for one another is one that I enjoyed reading and watching solidify as the story continued. Considering that this is the first novel by Ophelia Bell I read, I was drooling by the end of the last page and couldn't (and still can't) wait until the next book of the series come out, because it really was that great and entertaining!

PLOT: 4.5/5
CHEMISTRY: 5/5
PACING: 4.5/5
ENDING: 4.5/5
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: 5/5

Between light and darkness, 5 GOLD DRAGONS

between life and death, between power and weakness, lies love and truth. WOW! MARCUS & EVIE & KED, OH MY! WHEW! OH MY INDEED!!!! What a PAWSITIVELY SHIFTACULAR book!! I am in awe by just how breath-taking & breath-giving this story truly is! Prior to this, the only other Dragon books I have read were shorter ones, so to have a full length novel stuffed overflowing with such TALONTASTIC story content, well, all I can say is WOW! WOWWOWOHWOWWOW! I am a bit behind on reading the earlier Dragon books that come before this one, but it has now made me feel driven to read EVERY. SINGLE. BOOK. NOW!! SOONER THAN NOW! IMMEDIATELY! While I wanted to know more about the other characters, the Dragons in particular, I didn't feel lost or that I was missing something, not understanding what they are talking about, etc. Somehow I have this feeling that my experience will only get even more enhanced & even further enriched as I read the prior books & become even more immersed into the “Realm of Ophelia”!! I love how, for me anyways, this one book feels like it is now enveloping all of Ophelia's other books together. I think that is one of the best features to a series – you get to visit & catch up with old friends and sometimes they even play a bigger role in each other’s stories, helping each other out, visiting or even just lending a shoulder to cry on, or a hug or quickie when you need one. wink wink Dragon Void seems to me like it is the 'missing link' that ties them all together, bringing them full circle! WHOOT! I know see how the Black Mountain Bear series is linked with the Dragons, which are linked to the Turul and the other higher races!! This story is so ABSO-FRACKEN-LUTELY DRAGONTASTIC, EAGLERRIFIC, WINDTACULAR & MATELICIOUS!! I love this deeply enriched story, how it flows about, from, between & around each of them individually and together, even if at first I found the flipping around in time from current to 50+ yrs earlier to be a bit disconcerting. Especially since I just wanted to continue with the current line to find out if they would get caught, save Evie, I just HAD TO KNOW! But I quickly got used to in and found that I actually LOVED the early time line! It gave me a whole new understanding & appreciation for what Evie, Marcus, etc. had gone through, made me feel closer to them. Now I want my own Nanyo too! And Ked and Marcus and.. well you get the picture! wink My love for the story itself, for the bonding I have with the characters, for how CONSUMED I feel when reading - and still do! - can only be credited to The One, The Only (drum roll please) OPHELIA BELL!!! Da da da daaaa Ophelia’s phenomenal talent and her stellar gift for crafting these amazing, hot, intricate stories & series shines brightly through even the darkest Shadows, even the Darkest Dragon Void! I love how quickly I was caught up in the story, living it even, connecting with the characters even though at times I wish I could disconnect from them! But being there with them while they remember & live through those horrors, while awful, also gave me new insight to them and had me connecting to them, with them, at even deeper levels than I normally do when reading fantastic books! Remember though that I have only read 2 other Dragon books before this one, although I have read some of Ophelia's other books. So connecting the way I have already, well I can't even begin to imagine just how much that will strengthen & deepen when I go back and start reading EVERYTHING from the beginning, straight through to current, in order!! I am already submersed into this SHIFTASTIC & MAGICALLY DRAGONLICIOUS World that Ophelia has created, mind, body & soul!! All in all - this is one helluva ride, journey & adventure that I got to live & experience with & AS these amazingly fantastic characters that I am honored to now call friends! I wouldn't change that for the world - mine or theirs!! wink YOU GOTTA READ THIS!!!

It is no secret that Dragons are my favorite shifters and so I read every Dragon book that is out there. Also authors seem to know this and send me Dragon books too. So I was gifted this in exchanged for my honest review. Please note this book is for MATURE Readers!!!

OH MY WORD! This book is so good! I started reading it and could not put it down until it was finished which meant I was up most of the night reading about Ken, Marcus and Evie.
What would you do if you were Immoral and could only mate if it were the ONE? Ken is an Immoral Dragon and has dreamed of his ONE yet has never found her. Evie is not an immoral but is a higher being and she knows she is suppose to wait for her ONE but has grown tired of waiting and decides to just pick one and make him her one. Funny thing happens on the way to doing that she falls deeply in love with the one she picks, Marcus and as we all know life never turns out like we think it will.

This book has great character development. I can see each person as if they are standing in front of me. I did not read "Dragon Blues the first book in this series and while I do plan to read it next, I did not feel I needed it to understand this book.
I can not say how highly I highly I recommend this book!!

This is a very erotic story about mates. Dragons have disappeared often from society and their mates wait eagerly for them to return. Evie know she has a dragon mate out there but gets lonely after so many years and becomes involved with a human named Marcus. They have a very strong connection and love one another and it leads to a very dangerous situation for them both. When her dragon mate, Ked, finally searches for his mate, he is in for some surprises.

There are so many surprises in the story that I did not expect and I enjoyed not knowing exactly what was coming. There are many types of sexual encounters depicted. These characters are very complex and you learn about their histories and feelings as the story switches narration among them. You also travel back in time to the 60's while hearing some of the story. It is great story-telling.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

Book two of the Immortal Dragons by Ophelia Bell.
we quick off from end of book one. Evie is still a captive of Nikhil but he has become good now and has realise he needs to repent for all his evil hes done.
Evie and Marcus have always been and couple from start but after Nikhil infected Marcus and changed him forever.
this is a long book and a lot happens with different characters especially the swapping of sexual partners which at times got confusing but was very hot also.
I really like Ophelia Bell writing style but i wish i had read the other Dragon series first because other characters appear in this book.
This series is very complicated and very detailed especially about dragons hibernation cycles and old history of the dragons that i feel if I'd read other series first i would have been better understood.
Otherwise did enjoy and looming forward to other characters in series to find their mates and HEA

Ophelia Bell, has outdone herself this time! This book has everything! Thrills, chills, sexy scenes.. Of course. But this story was different.
The Void. Read a little of that and you will find out how sexy that is! The strongest dragons in history are in this book. Bad guys with some seriously messed up ideas. And not just dragons! Some new characters will be introduced as well. And if your a fan of Ms. Bell you will find a delightful surprise as well! I just wanted to crawl in to this book. You never knew where the next twist or gut wrenching scene would be. I couldn't stop.. Literally! I would give this one 10 stars if I could.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I highly recommend this series! Wonderfully done! Ophelia Bell definitely knows how to get you hooked on a story. Evie North is a Turul princess looking for love. She meets Marcus and decides to try to love knowing he isn't her true one. They take off together to avoid the draft and get into trouble. They get rescued by Ked a blank Dragon shifter and well I can't say more without giving away the story. let's just say it gets very sexy and sensual!! I've read the updated version and it's even better. A definite must read!

I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.

Evie North and her human paramour, Marcus, were captured in an attempt to avoid a draft in the 1960's by the enemy of all Higher Races, Nikhil. Nikhil made Marcus into one of his Elites and kept Evie prisoner to keep Marcus in line. Evie is finally rescued by her One Fated Mate, black dragon Ked, after 50 long years in captivity where she was being experimented on repeatedly.
I have lots of mixed feelings about this book and that is why I gave it 4 stars. A part of me that loved the story and the way in continues from Dragon Blues wanted to give it 5 stars. Yet the part of me that was a bit overwhelmed with the graphic nature of the M/M sex wants to rate the book at 3 stars. I split the difference. I enjoy the overall arc of the story and am looking forward to the next book. But this is a strong warning to the faint of heart and sensitive to the M/M action, this is not a book for you. Lots of dark imagery and brooding creates for a very painful reading experience.

This series has been a lot of fun to read, who doesn't love family and connection? Ms Bell is talentedly descriptive making the full novel flow.

Nothing is as it seems but our Princess is a wee bit tired of waiting and jumps to make things happen for her at a faster pace.

A warrior fighting an endless war and all to look forward to is his death.... until that one night.

the Darkness, a huge dragon knows what's out there and the fight that will be fought. He also knows his mate is out there. The thing is FATE... yeah they can never mind their own business and what a bit of a tangled web they've weaved.

The drama is always present as well as the danger, Dark faces the Darkest. We cant forget the fun sexy parts. All comes together in the second book in the series. Ill be looking to read the rest of the stories. Enjoy

I love how Ms. Bell has re-written the two books from The Immortal Dragon series. She has taken two good books and made them truly great. By adding to each book, we get more in depth information about all of the characters, and we learn how interconnected they all are (from some of her other series). And the characters we hated and despised? We learn they were either duped or controlled by an evil, strong entity. We can feel sympathy for them and rejoice in their redemption. Each book can be read as a stand alone book, but I urge any reader reading one of the Dragon books for the first time, to go back and read them all, along with the Stonetree trilogy. Characters from prior books show up in successive books, and all of the previous books are marvelous.

****I received a copy in exchange for an honest review****

Ked is a black dragon known as the void, he has to safe his mate and the man she loves before either of them end up dead in the enemy's hands.

I loved this book, I loved the intensity of it, the keep you guessing paced. I loved the erotic aspect of it best in a very tasteful but naughty way. The best part is being kept wanting more, I simply cannot wait for the next book. LOVED! And would recommend to anyone who loves dragon and a few sex scenes.

Such a compelling story, I loved how the author had flashbacks so we could understand the dynamics of Evie and Marcus relationship. Ked was able to find someone for of redemption for his past. As theses three come together to form a bond, they also unit to fight one common enemy for the sake of all races. I cried for what Evie and Marcus had to endure as well as what Ked was forced to do. Beautifully written, keeps the reader wanting more

No one writes about dragons the way Ophelia Bell does. I received a Copy of Dragon Void in exchange for an honest review. When it comes to pairing up a mate to an Immortal Dragon this book delivers in spades! One of the hottest shifter books you will read. I loved Ked, Evie and Marcus story. Dragons what for eternity in hopes of finding their mates.

Oh My God. What a book. This book is even better than the first. And
like other books by Ophelia, it is extremely well written, completely
thought out and amazing to read. Now if you have not read book one
I highly suggest you read it first. As you need the background from
book one to follow this book.

This book is Ked's, Marcus' and Evie's story. Well they are the
primary characters. But you also get Nikhil and Belah as well as
their story continues with this one. There is some violence with this
book and some really hot sex, but know there is some m/m action in
this book to. This story starts with Nikhil losing his mind and
attacking and almost killing Marcus and Evie. Thanks to Ked
showing up and saving them with his brothers and Evie’s brothers’
help, is the only thing that saves them. And a good thing to, as she
has a secret to share with Ked and Marcus. Then with Nikhil finally
free of the monster that has controlled him for so long makes good
on his promise to Belah and takes her and her mates to fix things at
least the things he can. But there is a lot Ked and Marcus have to
get through to have their forever with Evie. I cannot wait to see how
that works out. And then there is the introduction of the next
character's the crazy Satyr and Ked’s other sister. If you saw all he
does you'd be crazy as this satyr too. Man I am so ready for the next book.

Now before I ruin this for you I will leave off here. I hope
you enjoy this book as much as I did. If you do like this
book, please consider leaving a review. The Authors really like
it when you do; they value your opinions too.

the revelation at the end of book one is the start of this one. lukas and iszak's sister Evie isn't dead! she's being held captive by the same man that had betrayed belah all those millenia ago.
ked, belah's brother, knows that evie is his mate but getting her out won't be easy. the blessed man that got their blood transfused by their dragonblood are strong, if not stronger then the immortals. how they'll go about it will take some serious planning. another big unknown is who will be there, will it be battle or can they act quickly and covertly.
when ked manages to shadow himself inside the sights that greets him rips his heart apart! evie and a man are drenched in blood and near death. evie, weak as she is, still recognized ked for who and what he is and puts up no fight at all. her only request is to bring the man with them so she can bury him with grace.
ked has no other choice as to bring both and then their journey starts, yes theirs as in multiple. evie is healing, getting her wings back and trying to cope with the loss of marcus.
ked knows that marcus is now an elite, a blessed man with his blood changed with that of three dragons, three imortal dragons, his brother's and his'. he also knows marcus isn't dead, but it's going to take a lot of convincing to make marcus understand he isn't dead yet and won't be for a long time to come. that they need him alive, that evie needs him.
it's the start of a big emotional ride of acceptance and moving forward. as the story in the present day continues you get glimpses of what happened in the past. you get to know the elites for who they are and you can't help to feel sorry for them. none of them choose to be what they are today!

i was glad i was given the opportunity to read this book beforehand. i already love ophelia's writing, specially her dragons. but the emotional trauma that is depicted in this series is so raw and real! it's simple to be in awe of. i'm rooting for the other four now! it's going to be a touch waiting game for these books but i'll have to endure!
