An exciting new animal series set in the magical Blossom Wood Katie, Eva and Alex arrive in the wood to find that the bees are on strike. Not only does this mean no honey, it means the flowers, fruits and nuts of the woodland aren't being pollinated! But there's a hidden reason why the bees are striking, and the girls must figure it out - and persuade the bees to work again - if they are to save the wood.
There is a magic feather which can take the characters through a tree, swirling and getting dizzier and dizzier. The hollow oak tree takes them to a magical place which can turn them owls which is amazing! They go to Blossom Wood to turn to owls. Their names are Katie, Eva and Alex and Eva is my favourite because she always knows what to do and she can tell her friends in a nice way.
They save the wood from the angry bees that are on strike. There was also a duck dance but the bees didn't know they could and that's why they were on strike. This is because bees cannot see red and the invitations were written in red. However, when Katie, Eva and Alex went up to the bees and explained that the invitations were written in red and that they just couldn't read them but they were really invited.
Eventually, the bees knew they could go so they went to the duck dance and they were very happy because actually they decided that they agreed with Katie, Eva and Alex.
One thing I particularly liked about this story is when Katie, Eva and Alex explained to the bees that they act were invited and fixed the misunderstanding so everyone was happy.
Eva, Katie and Alex magically turn into owls when they visit Blossom Wood, but when they get there they find out that the bees are not happy and are refusing to work, nobody knows why or who has upset them. The animals of the wood are very worried, because without the bees how are all the plants and flowers going to be pollinated. The owls set out to solve the mystery as to why the bees are upset. Along with other books in this series there are some nature/wildlife facts contained within the story and I think this one is probably the most educational of the three that I have read as the whole story is based around what bees do and why we need them. It is a lovely story with drawings which illustrate it throughout the book.
