Untamed Hearts #4

The Enforcer's Revenge

Rate this book
Tino Moretti is a hardened, dangerous man, forged from the unforgiving fires of the Italian Mafia. The only joy in his difficult life is Brianna Darcy, the woman whose love offers him a defense against the cruel reality he was made to live. She was his last piece of light, his escape from the darkness, until war came in the most horrific way possible and shattered their fragile happiness. In Enforcer’s Revenge, we finally see where it all goes wrong and why loving completely means letting go.

In the wake of tremendous loss, Tino and his brother Nova are left teetering on the brink of surrender. Until the lost kids Tino turned his back on, the ones who once shared his dark past, step out of the shadows to save them right at the moment when they could lose it all. Their loyalty is a lifeline, and together with the growing power of the Moretti brothers, they are ready to embark on an awe-inspiring quest for revenge and dominance of the underworld—Turning the despised bastards into the most feared force in Cosa Nostra.

Welcome to the brutal world of the Moretti brothers and the Lost Kids of Cosa Nostra. Their truths, revealed book by book, pull back the veil to some of the most vicious corners of the underworld. Their stories explore dark themes like violence, addiction, traumatic pasts, grief, the emotional tolls of abuse, and morally complex choices. It includes scenes with extreme violence, drug use, suicidal ideations, and references to past abuse that may be disturbing to some readers. While it is a very real story of love and loyalty, it is born from loss and pain. The lost kids deserve happy endings, but the journey isn’t easy for any of them. This is a dark romance series for a reason.

Reader discretion is always advised.

Kele Moon

A freckle-faced redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives on pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love, there are no rules and true love knows no bounds.

So obsessed is she with the beauty of romance and the novelty of creating it, she’s lost in her own wonder world most of the time. Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who has infinite patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. When she leaves her keys in the refrigerator or her cell phone in the oven, he’s usually there to save her from herself. The two of them now reside in Florida with their three beautiful children, who make their lives both fun and challenging in equal parts—they wouldn’t have it any other way.

I just found out that she is currently charging by the chapter because "she needs to make money". The previous book was left with a cliffhanger, which gave the perfect in for emotionally hijacking her readers into buying the conclusion. For the reasonable price of approximately $4.99 a month, you get to finish this story. She is releasing the story chapter by chapter. Become a member on her website and you too can be part of this exclusive club. Please keep in mind that if the book is 30 chapters, that's 30 months of $4.99 a month to complete. At this point I am giving up on this writer. Good luck with this one.

So...It has been 7 years since I first learned of this book, series, and fell hardcore for Ms. Moon's writing. I am sometimes a little behind on all of the "news", and so I learned 3 years ago that Ms. Moon was using a platform that requires a monthly fee and promised to release every month the book's chapters.

With all of the different subscription forms available... this was Ms. Moon's choice.

Every author manages the way they wish to produce their work and as a reader, I always hope to be able to read what they produce.

I have made the choice not to subscribe and that is ok. My personal choice.

I do hope though, at some point, Ms. Moon publishes the entire book for those of us who would like it in that form. The series was something extremely well-written, engaging, and touched many.

Just my 2 Cents.

Ok, I admit it... I am not proud of the way I am coveting this book....and I haven't even read
The Enforcer yet...

What can I say...to want so bad this series... I am willing to lay bare how much I love Kele Moon and her genius in creating these men and families...

I fear there is no 12-step program...

The Enforcer's Revenge...coming TBA

SO unfair!!!! We've been so loyal to you, been patiently waiting for the book. Screw the release date, but if you've lost interest and do not wish to finish or continue the series it's only fair that you tell us. Communicate with us, you're only human and its understandable people lose interest but we're wasting our energy on something that may never happen and thats not fair on us.

Not going to lie but the last 20% kinda ruined my love of the book for me. I was not a fan of Tino. Hoping the next one brings some closure.

After a few hours thinking about it, I took away another star with how mad I am with Tino and the Tony and Maria situation. I’m not sure I can forgive it.

"They called themselves Lost Boys, but they've been pirates for a long time now"

Well, I haven't cried with this one and i don't know how.
As always Kele writes beautifully and with meaning. Every word is important, even the scenes where it seems like nothing is going on, every word, every action counts.
This is the ugly bits, the war between families, the how, but its oh so greatly done. If you're into mafia and morally gray characters you will enjoy it so much. It was worth the wait.

Pd. Love when new friends (hello Tony) come to stay, in such an spectacular way.

Everyone who gave this book less than 5 stars due to the NINE YEARS we waited for this book better go change their review. My only complaint is that I thought it was a duet, but ends with a cliffhanger. At least we know when the next one is coming. Perfection. Infinite stars.

well it's been quite long since the enforcer has been released and I wish kele moon gives a release date already. Readers are dying to know what's gonna happen in the next installment and if Tino is getting a happy ending with Brianna. This book is already delayed. It sucks not to know when this book is gonna be out. I am waiting, waiting and waiting

Tino Moretti's story continues in The Enforcer's Revenge, the much anticipated return to the Moretti Family story in the Untamed Hearts series from Kele Moon. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and once I started it, reading it was all I wanted to do. It's the adventures of Tino and Nova, two of the most interesting male characters I've ever had the pleasure to read about. In this follow-up, there's more to learn about Tino's life as an enforcer for the Moretti family and the impact it is having on his life and mental health.

The story starts out quietly, with the gang of Moretti's celebrating, but all does not stay quiet for long. Once the action picks up at around thirty percent into the book, it's non-stop until the very end. There are some definite hold-your-breath moments there too, which I loved. Even though there were many years between the previous book and this one, it didn't feel that way. I only wished I had time to re-read The Enforcer before I read this one. I don't know what it is about Tino and Nova, but I just love their story. It's so emotional -- raw and dirty and compelling all at the same time.

There were a few parts of this book that I absolutely loved. There is quite a bit of Carina and Brianna in this one. I really liked getting to know them better, and seeing them interact with Nova and Tino. It's such a crazy life they are all living -- it was really great to have that rounded out in The Enforcer's Revenge. I feel like I learned so much more about all of them, especially Tino. There is a very powerful scene where he talks about all the different "Tino's" there are, depending on who he is with. It was so eye opening and sad, all at the same time. His emotional state is really in jeopardy by the end of the book. Oh, my heart!

I just love this series. I recommend it to anyone who will listen. The writing is terrific -- I feel pulled right into the story from the start. And the emotional content is sometimes tough, sometimes tender, and always interesting. I can't wait for more.

Definitely recommended for readers of dark romance, and dark romantic suspense.

Amo muito essa série de livros, e esperei por quase 10 anos por esse lançamento, então imaginem minha ansiedade. Dito isso tenho que ser sincera sobre o que achei.

Pontos positivos:

• Apesar de previsível, o plot principal do livro (na minha opinião) sendo a situação da Lola e o Carlos foi o que salvou o livro, pois conseguiu transmitir as emoções dos personagens e fundamentar as escolhas deles (mesmo eu discordando da maioria);
• A melhor exploração do relacionamento da Carina e do Casanova;
• Os alívios cômicos que eram alguns dos diálogos entre os personagens;
• A Carina sendo uma amiga foda para a Brianna, mesmo que isso significasse encarar a instabilidade emocional do irmão dela;
•A escrita da autora, pois mesmo discordando da maioria das atitudes dos personagens, era possível entender as motivações deles.

Pontos negativos:
• Tive problemas já no começo do livro, pois os 28% iniciais foi praticamente apenas de cenas de sexo, o que quebrou um pouco o ritmo de leitura para mim. Acredito que foi uma forma de compensar pela demora deles ficarem juntos no livro 1 do Tino, porém me incomodou a relação que a Brianna e o Tino tinham com o sexo, que era basicamente como se ela tivesse que estar disponível a todo momento, e fazendo 100% do que ELE queria, pois ela era a responsável por curar ele e fazê-lo se sentir ele mesmo. Acho que se ao invés disso eles tivessem mais diálogos para tentar processar as coisas, eu gostaria mais, porém também entendo que isso reflete as dificuldades psicológicas dos personagens (principalmente o Tino);

• Senti falta de conhecer mais a vida da Brianna, para além de quem ela era para o Tino e a Carina. De ter cenas dela interagindo com outras pessoas;

• A passada de pano que todos dão para as escolhas do Tino, e a quantidade de personagem que NECESSITA que ele fique vivo para existir;

• A constante necessidade de ter algum personagem para manter o Tino são, e vice versa (Brianna, Carlos, Tony, Nova, Chuito);

• O INSTA LOVE DO NOVA COM A ETC???? Esse aqui foi bem difícil para mim. Amei a personalidade da personagem feminina logo de cara, mas a forma que o relacionamento entre ela o Nova escalonou em apenas um dia me incomodou muito;

The second installment in Tino's story doesn't get any easier, but it keeps going. This time with more Brianna.

I'll be honest....this story is a journey for Tino, Brianna, AND the reader. There are going to be times where to do not like Tino, there are many times where Tino doesn't like Tino, and you will want to shake Brianna for never not loving Tino.

This story explores PTSD is a very raw sense, when the victims world is different but still not safe, still not healthy....and it isn't going to be because we've seen the future in The Slayer. We are seeing more of Tino and Brianna 's story unfold still mostly in the past, but seeing a bit more of present day as well.

Just like in The Enforcer, the story isn't easy, it isn't pretty, but wow it's so good. Kele Moon does absolutely justice to her characters and takes the time to let the reader fully experience the past.

Once again, check your triggers and then go read this gut-wrench, gritty story exploring the underbelly of the New York Mafia.

Book 3, The Enforcer's requiem, isn't out yet, but I WILL be reading it when it is.

overall: highly recommend

I never thought in 1M years that Kele Moon would pull this off. Viper, Slayer, The Enforcer -- my favorite series of all time, and then it just stopped and left everyone hanging. For years. Then out of the blue, Enforcer's Revenge! OMG! She actually did it! Not only wrote it, but it's GREAT! Gripping, compelling, emotional, sexy -- the whole package. I was afraid to read it, for fear of it disappointing me, but I had to. And it is so great, and we have a new character to love -- Tony.

If you liked the first books in this series, just read it. That's all. You will be happy you did.

I loved Tino and Brianna in book 3, but it’s been a long time since I read that book so I had to re-familiarize myself with the story and characters. I was super into it for about 3/4 of the book and then there was a disconnect…so I can’t say this is my favorite. Mixed feelings and thinking I should’ve re-read book 3 first. Looking forward to reading book (and won’t make the same mistake if it comes out much later than it’s supposed to).

Finally….but YET!

I think I’ve been waiting for this book for at least 5 years. While there was a little clunkiness to the narrative, the plot, dialogue, and dynamics more than made up for it. Dark romance girlies - this is the series you need to be reading.

Fair warning: it does end on a cliffhanger :( Hoping the next book comes out a bit quicker.

I’ve been waiting for this book for a lot of years and I don’t even know what to say after all this time. I was struggling through the whole thing trying to remember anything about the previous book. Maybe I should have left well enough alone but it was impossible to resist.
