Everly still a touch sensitive, has expanded her skills to use that psychic touch to help her solve crimes. How she went from being a Personal Coach to a super spy, I guess I'd need to read the other seven novels in the Everly Gray series to find out. The sizzle I noticed in Ice between Everly and Pierce must have been acted on at some point because she isn't with Mitchell who was her love interest (and husband) previously. Mitchell was alluded to in Element 63, and isn't around anymore, but her connection with Pierce is fun, and they have a fierce need to protect each other, which is nice.

Backtrack 17's plot had Everly and Pierce protecting their friends and each other from a past enemy of Pierce's. This gave the reader a lot of opportunities to see how Everly's psychic skills have advanced. She now also reads aura's, using that knowledge to determine someone's mood or seeing if they also have psychic abilities. I have always thought that would be a cool ability have, and it was neat to see that used in a book! A few other characters were new to me, but I have a feeling were in some previous novels. I would have liked to have known their history with each other, so if you are new to the series, I would recommend starting with Ms. Charles first Everly Gray book, and continuing in order. I was left guessing on a few of the plot points and because of that may have missed some nuances to the story. Regardless of that, I did enjoy the story and Everly was a woman I could root for, and the romance sizzled.

Backtrack 17: The TaP Team was an awesome paranormal mystery novel. This was the seventeenth book in this series, and while I didn't read the first sixteen, I really enjoyed this one. I thought that it was great that you don't have to read the rest of the series in order to pick one up, however, if you read one, you will be hooked. This book was crazy fast paced and kept me on my toes the entire time. I can't wait to read more of these and follow the characters some more. Absolutely fantastic!

Everly Gray is a "touch sensitive", meaning she can touch anything or anyone and pick up emotions or scenes that have played out before. Using this ability, she has paired up with her husband, Tynan Pierce, and his TaPs security team to stop a man with a vendetta against them all. While lives are endangered, they learn who they can trust as well as see some abilities in action. Will they be able to out smart a man with years of planning his revenge before they all die or put more lives in danger?

WOW!

Fast-paced & nonstop action from beginning to end! It was absolutely impossible to put down. All my favorite characters came together for this one - Everly & Tynan, Annie & Sean, Cait & Jace, fabulous 3yr old Maddie, & even Adam, Hanna, & Ebba put in an appearance. This story brings together the TaPs series with Caitlin's Tarot series, continuing on where The Tower left off. I am always thrilled by L.J. Charles books & this one definitely does not disappoint!

Everly and Pierce is on the hunt, a story that gets mired down with trying to tell two perspectives at the same time. An old enemy of Pierce's is out for payback, as well as the Hawaiian mafia wanting the witnesses dead. It's up to Everly and crew to figure it out and protect their friends and family. No new surprises, cause you saw the special gifts developing in others from the beginning.
