This slim, 41-chapter book is by a Jewish Seventh-day Adventist writer, Clifford Goldstein, and might be used as an excellent meditative reading on rising or going to bed, or perhaps as a start and/or end to the Sabbath for Sabbitarians. The style is friendly and warm.
Each chapter is based on a different aspect of "What God's Gift of the Sabbath Can Mean to You" according to the Bible. Goldstein also references one or two scholarly works on the Seventh-day Sabbath in each of the chapters.
I recently saw a brief interview with Clifford Goldstein where he was asked about whether he sees more Jews becoming Adventists today (given that Seventh-day Adventists and Jews share such principles as observing Sabbath and avoiding unclean foods). He was also asked about what he saw as a barrier to Jews becoming Adventist and his answer kind of surprised me... and I have to chew on it a little. You can see that video here. It might give you an idea of Clifford Goldstein if you are unfamiliar with him.
