Took me long enough between the time I started & finished, over 4 years later! When I started, it was a year before the pandemic & 2 years before my move to Corsicana, when I joined a Messianic congregation at a Passover Seder in 2022 (one of the first regular-attending congregations where I preferred in-person to live-streaming!). I wouldn’t have understood a lot of the concepts before studying them (& celebrating them!) with other people in my congregation. There are a lot of neat ideas in here. I took the song (to the tune of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”) & put the lyrics on a poster board for others to learn during our Seder. Another idea was hanging up red ribbon over the door posts (from a “Torah Sisters” magazine publication), to look like the blood on the doorposts during the original Passover.
There is a lot of information in this book, & it covers a lot of the preparation, Haggadah steps, recipe ideas, decoration ideas, & ways to involve kids of all ages!
Great book to read if you know nothing about Passover or if you know everything about Passover. The book is chock full of ideas to make your sederim lively, engaging and respectful.
