The Trouble with Parris

Rate this book
Faced with her own mortality, Parris Church seeks out one of the only people in the world she can trust. Before Parris can get to her, the seizures that have been plaguing force her into hiding.

Jase and Rhys Wilson find a woman hurt and hiding behind their garden shed. Then their day gets a little strange. It turns out that she’s their mate, on the run from a mad man, and suffering from a medical condition she’s not interested in talking about. Despite her belief that there is no future for the three of them, Jase and Rhys are determined to give her a reason to live.

When they are finally given a solution that might help, Parris is followed to Grey River by a friend in need and an enemy with revenge in mind. Parris, Jase, and Rhys must deal with both if they're going to have any chance of a future.

Mother, Wife, Author, and all around crazy...

I write the kind of books that I love to read. Love stories between strong men and their independent soulmates. Usually, their path to Happily Ever After is a bumpy one, but there is always a Happy Ever After.

In the world's I create there is someone (or two, or three) for everyone! Love comes in many forms and I believe it is all beautiful and should be celebrated!

I live, love and write in New Zealand, married to my husband of eleven years with two beautiful children who I truly believe were sent as a blessing, but sometimes to try my patience, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

The Trouble with Parris is an exciting story, filled with action and adventure, innocence and heat, and comes complete with a side-swipe that I did not see coming! Parris is one of Melaina's 'sisters', a bond formed by circumstances rather than by blood, but no less strong for it. She has made her way to Grey River after the ones that she 'works' for think she has died. She takes this opportunity to see Melaina one last time, but a seizure comes on before she can contact her. She is found by Rhys and Jase, who realise that she is their mate. The Quickening kicks in, and there is no way in hell that they will allow anything to hurt Parris. The danger is not over though, so Melaina goes to try and rescue the last sister that is still being held, Pepper.

This book is full of action, with Melaina's story continuing as a small sideline. Parris is very strong, although she doesn't see it. She is the perfect mix of innocence and strength, and although she has seen and done things that no one should have to, it hasn't changed her. Well written, with plenty of things going on to keep your interest, this book is a wonderful addition to the Grey River series. Definitely recommended by me.

The trouble with Parris is that she is too smart, too brave, too loving and too perfect for Rhys and Jas.

As she runs from her past, who wold have thought she would run straight into her future. I truly loved the way way Jas and Rhys were so patient and gentle with her. Just true gentlemen.
