The thin thread holding the civilized world together has been severed. Millions of citizens have been thrust into the unknown, breeding fear into the minds and souls of those seeking to survive. Wren Burton, an architect from Chicago, has been engulfed by the chaotic aftermath of an EMP blast. Her family is injured. The enemy is unknown. And help is nowhere to be found.

James Hunt's passion for writing began at an early age. While his journal of yesteryear may never be the work of great fiction, he's been working hard every day since then to bring pages to life. James has well over a decade of writing under his belt, but his professional career in literature didn't take off until 2014.
James currently lives in Orlando, FL and when he's not pounding away at the keyboard you can find him at the theater or somewhere outside enjoying the beautiful Florida weather.
I loved Static #0, the first in the series and so looked forward to the next one but this was disappointing. Wren goes from capable mother to whining snotty bitch, the people at the safe compound they find are nasty and rude murdering asshats and the plot goes stupid and frustrating. Other people from the previous town have followed Nathan and Wren to the compound and are murdered at the gates as they ask for help, by the people there, then Wren is blamed and arrested despite being unconcious and sick for the whole trip and not even knowing how to get to the compound. The whole thing is totally dumb and annoying.
audible:This story was similar to others. Wren and her family are in the city after an EMP and bombings by a terrorist group.A man they save along their way takes them to a safe compound he is part of.There Wren is accused of treason, okay so this is so weird, even for fiction. She was brought into the group along with her family by someone who was part of the group.HE should have been the one held responsible for anything. To me,this is just so she can be abused by the grand poobah of the group. Narration was fine.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
2.5 stars. It is better than book one, still ended without any closure. not my favorite type of book. I can not decide if Wren is a likable charater or not. Sometimes I think "what a bitch" .. then I turn around and think yeah she is a bitch but a bad ass bitch lol
Really enjoy this series . Listed to a couple so far. Will be looking for more in this series and by this author. Tia Rider is a great narrator. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I am exhausted after reading the prequel and book 1 in this series! I read them straight through practically and back to back and cannot wait to see what happens next! Non stop action.
I love the book! Writing is awesome! Can't wait for part 2 this book was thrilling at every turn. From the very beginning of the story was action packed! You will enjoy this story as much as I did!
