Rebound is a short story. It's the first in a small series of novellas with a twisted HEA theme.

Having committed herself to finally finding her one true love, Luna Odell jumps into the world of online dating. A recluse in her own right due to her upbringing, she scours the internet until she finds one website that catches her attention. One that she knows her soulmate will be on.

I liked bits of this story and wished for more depth. The main characters were very odd but I liked the twist at the end.

Imagine what would happen if Nicholas Sparks started writing a book and Quentin Tarantino came along and hijacked the last 15% of it.
Ends at 62%, making it around 60 pages.
Two stars for the author trying to do something odd and different.
But, ultimately, a twist is only as good as the material used to form it.

Let me start off by saying that this is the twisted (in the best way) author's version of a HEA. Don't worry, I know the lovely lady personally she won't get offended by anything I write. She's used to it. ;) For those of you that don't know by the way, a HEA is a "Happily Ever After". You know all sunshine and roses and unicorns. And was this fucks?! It was the ANTI-HEA!
I mean I'll be the first to admit that I'm all for twisted, fucked up mind fuckery. And this was just that at it's finest! Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but if you like dark reads and you like crazy messed up shit, then this author is right up your alley!
I first fell in love with Yolanda's work cause of her writing style. It's so smooth and flows so well and I just fell in love with it. And then add to that her crazy plot twists and insane mind and you have yourself a winner!
Rebound really had me questioning what little of my sanity I had left. For real. There was a second there where I thought I did IT (Read to understand what IT is!)! But then it was like IT never even happened! Bear with me! I know this isn't my best review but I promise I'm not crazy! Well, maybe I am a little but this book makes my crazy even worse! You'll understand what I mean when you read the book! I promise.
And I mean what even was that motherfucking cliffhanger?!?! Yes everyone, this authors idea of a HEA is a crazy, fucking CLIFFHANGER!!! I repeat, CLIFFHANGER!!!
Okay, so that's my rant of a review over. I'm reading more of this authors work right now cause I'm like a crack addict as far as her words are concerned. But enjoy! :)

oh my. Yolanda has given us a HEA :) I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat.
so don't be fooled. this ain't no hearts and flowers love story...
this is dark and deluded but equally as beautiful...
meet Luna Odell she just wants a little attention, to believe she's not everything she was always made to believe of herself. cruising through the internet she stumbles upon the most unusual of dating sites that has changed her life forever.
a life on the run is all she has to look forward to now that and the love of Nixon Thorne.
can she continue for the love she craves or will it all become too much.
so if you like a good deluded shorty grab this book you won't be disappointed. Yolanda please hurry with the follow up I need to know if Nixon will keep his promise xxx

Twisted....love this author's sick mind!!!

Seeking love online she feels unworthy due to the childhood she had where she was nothing more than an after thought at best. Left emotionally wrecked Luna is aware she's not exactly normal when it comes to her idea of relationships or love. Yet Nixon is her ideal partner, considerate and caring he treats her like a princess until one night he treats her like his woman. And thus begins a chain of events that you will not see coming!
Without giving it away all I'm saying is the happiest ever after is very in keeping with Yolanda's writing style and if you are a fan you won't be disappointed. New readers welcome to the dark and often blood soaked world that is Yolanda, she has her own brand of crazy where her characters are anything but the expected. I loved Luna, her perfectly blended mix of naivety, need to be loved and no nonsense attitude. Nixon, he really is her dark Prince. A short story but a perfectly contained story that left my blackened heart feeling content. Can't wait for more in this series.
A five star happily ever after read.

I read this book before in beta stages, then again when complete with a little tweaking and a new ending. Yolanda was giving me my HEA at last....kind of.
Luna and Nixon met on a dating site, not the normal kind though. One that exists in a much darker world. My heart was racing through this short story as I knew from reading this author that nothing calm and normal would happen. This crazy, twisted girl who felt that she could never be loved found her soulmate who was just as broken. The plot was well structured and the characters well developed making for an easy read. Let's just say the ending...you will NOT see that coming.
If you love a dark and twisted romance, then here's the book for you.

Once again Yolanda Olson has written a dark gem.
This is only a short read but wow is it worth it.
Well written, it flows beautifully, with a rapid pace.
The characters are dark, twisted and wonderful.
This does have a HEA in the style of Yolanda but be warned it is NOT your normal HEA.
Wickedly good!
One can only imagine what the voices say to Yolanda when she writes, they are obviously dark and twisted voices, I hope they never stop speaking to her as I would be lost without having one of her dark, twisted, gritty tales to read..
I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review, but it was that good that I have also pre-ordered it with my own money.

Wow!!! This book was heart pounding, mysterious, and just left me marveling for me. Honestly there are really no words to this mind blowing book. Yolanda Olson's writing is remarkable and one of a kind!!!!

This story is a HEA but with a huge twist. I was shocked by this story, but was a good shock.
We meet Luna, she is a foster child who has grown up being told she will never be loved. Until she met Nixon on internet dating site. She tells us of her story of their love.
I really enjoyed this story, even though it was a twist of a HEA it was still really good and well written.

This author does dark and twisted and she does it well! I loved everything about this story and even though it was a quick read there were still lots of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I highly recommend this to anyone to read and I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Unlike any story I have ever read before!! But, I loved it!! It's a really short read but with plenty of dark and twisted moments. And I was totally not expecting that ending!!

Luna has had a rough life and she has never found love or happiness within her relationships, that is until she meets Nixon of course. Nixon is tall, covered with tattoos, dominating but a gentleman. This book is not your usual sweet romance love story; their relationship is twisted, dark and raw like their feelings for each other. Such a twisted read with a splash of blood and shocking plot reveal as expected by Yolanda, but it does come with a Yolanda type of HEA. I loved it so I hope we can read more of this soon !! I love her books she is the queen of horror and dark romance.

WOW! Ok This is the story of Luna. Luna was given up after she was born and grew up in a very hateful Foster home. She's always told how no one loves her and nobody will. But that changes with Nixon. They met on a internet dating site. And this is their love story.
As usual with Yolanda's book, I wasn't sure how this was going to end. I mean reading it as it happens, makes you think when is it going to get crazy. And it does.

I don't know what I just read, but I know that it was AMAZING!!! Yolanda Olson has a way of telling a story that will leave her readings needing and craving more from her!! This one is no different.
Luna and Nix are not your typical couple. They met in a unique place and develop a very uncommon relationship. Luna is one damaged soul and finds love with Nix.
This story is well written and will leave you in utter shock!! It is so well written and I highly recommend it!! Well Done Ms. Olson!!!

I liked this story. I would love to read more of their adventures. Was a bit disappointed when it ended. It was like 61% in. She did give the first two chapters of another book, but man. I'd love more of Luna and Nixon.

Lately, Yolanda Olson has been know for her crazy, kill 'me in the craziest way possible books, but not this time. When she set out to create a story that had a happy ending, this is not what I expected! Fun, crazy, and intense - well worth checking out!!
