Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis have created another great installment in the Chess Team series. The team's search for Tom Duncan takes them to the wilds of Russia, where they encounter deadly enemies on all fronts. The story involves King's search for his sister Julie, which is prompted after he thinks he spots her standing behind the president during a speech. The action in this story is non-stop and it is wonderful to follow the Chess Team on another adventure. The interplay between the characters is amazing and makes for a highly entertaining read!

A nice book in the series. For a series ender, there needs to be another. We’ll see if the author gets to do that or not. I really do love this series.

Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis have done it again, just when you think they can't get any better, they go and prove you wrong. Empire is further proof that they are a force to be reckoned with. This book was full of action and suspense, just as you come to expect from this duo. The opening chapters were shocking and so cleverly done, I was on the edge of my seat throughout. This is one of the best in the series.

It really does amaze me how every book Jeremy Robinson writes seems to be an improvement on the last. Empire is a fantastic addition to the Chess Team world. Full of incredibly fast-paced action, twists and turns that you don't see coming, and the hilarious team interaction that you have come to know and love, Empire is brilliant! Cannot recommend this book enough.

Another super entry in the Chess Team series. There is lots of action, surprises and mayhem; essentially, a typical Robinson/Ellis story. I had to suspend belief, a lot, but that's nothing new with this series and it's always well worth the effort. The story bounces around the world and finally culminates in the snowy, frigid Russian wasteland. Monsters abound as King and his team race to save the world, again, and solve the mystery of the apparent sudden reappearance of King's long dead sister. There's lots going on and the pace is breakneck with short chapters that kept the story moving. Finally, the ending left the team poised to take the next big step in resolving the ongoing situation. The big question - when will that book appear? Highly recommended for fans of the series and this genre.

Great book!
Another rousing adventure for the Chess Team. I wanted them to throw Catherine to the curb earlier but I'm sure I am not the only one. Its been a while now but I am hoping for a new Chess book. Get to it Mr Robinson and Mr Ellis!

Fast pace and a wild ride
This was another great edition to the chess team storyline that had we on edge most of the time. You will enjoy it for sure!

Amazing story! I'm glad the last book is out now, it must have been excruciating to wait 8 years for the end. Better late than never!

More than any other Sigler book, this is like a spy thriller in the Le Carre style. Multiple plot threads involving different team members and involving Jack's sister, mother and father. Everything eventually escalates into a suitably action filled climax. The only disappointment is that this appears to be the end of the series. There is the continuum series, but they happen in the past. Hopefully the author will come back and continue the story.

Empire by Jeremy Robinson with Sean Ellis is a full-length story in the Chess Team adventure series. It is an excellent addition to the Chess Team adventures. It’s nice to have a full-length adventure with the Chess Team again.
The Chess Team, working on their own, is looking for Tom Duncan. However, they have divided their group with some going one direction and some going after an elusive trail into the Sigler family saga. Co-opted by the US military for assistance in recovery a team that went missing in Russia, they allow themselves to be diverted from their search for Duncan.
The team splits up to follow two lines of investigation. This always seems a mistake as it never seems to turn out well for them. Richard Ridley may be dead but isn’t out of the picture. The same can be said of Hercules. They both crop up in this adventure. The revelations in this story are surprising and somewhat shocking. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns of the story.
The Chess Team series is one of my favorites. This story does not disappoint. Robinson and Ellis do a great job with character as well as story continuity. If you are following the Chess Team series, you won’t be disappointed with this one. If you haven’t yet tried the Chess Team series, what are you waiting for?

This Series Ages like Fine Wine!

Authors writing serial novels are faced with the ongoing difficult and daunting task to write better chapters within the series in order to meet and satisfy reader expectations. In reality, there are not many such authors but they are an elite group, which group includes such prolific writers as John Sandford, Jeffrey Deaver, Matthew Reilly, James Rollins, and James Patterson to name a few. Jeremy Robinson's Chess Team series is awesome in all aspects; plot, characterization, fast-paced action and thrills and lets not forget those imaginatively, creative monsters that the Team must inevitably battle through to get to the bad guy! Empire does not disappoint. He and his colleagues have succeeded in keeping this series fresh and exciting. The only negative is that the wait between series is painfully long...I received and advanced copy in return for an honest review.

A very good addition to the Jack Sigler saga
I truly enjoyed reading this book. I've read every book in the series, and none have disappointed! I would recommend the entire series to whoever is looking for a good story with lots of action and a touch of scifi.

Another great installment in the series. I truly enjoy the collaboration between Sean and Jeremy. The team is still searching for Tom Duncan, but get pulled jn other directions when Jack is certain he sees his sister Julie standing by the President, when she supposedly died years ago.
The team ends up up in Russia, battling enemies and the banter between the team is awesome. Had me laughing at some of the likes. The story also brings Jack's parents in and they kick some butt! !
As always with this series I highly recommend it!!! Read it and enjoy it!! I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Chess Team is back and this time for a crazy adventure in the wilds of Russia! The team is on the search for their leader, Tom Duncan, code named Deep Blue, and the fate of Jack's sister, Julie.
Using the mystery of the Dyatlov team that perished there, along with a megalomaniac Russian president and shocking revelations about Jack's family, this was another fantastic ride that kept me on the edge of my seat!
Action packed and a fast paced, I definitely recommend this series!
I loved the reference to Matthew Reilly :)

The Chess team return and as usual Jeremy Robinson, this time with Sean Ellis, delivers another fast moving adventure. This time trying to stop a war with Russia, they are called in from the cold and resume active duty. This time the team are split more than usual, with King actively looking for his sister, who was supposed to be dead. The Chess team is a well oiled unit and the character interaction is one of the things that makes these stories and leaves you wanting more.

The eighth book in the series and it is still going strong for the chess team. This book covers more of the history of Alexander Diotrephes (AKA Hercules) and the family that followed him through the centuries via bloodlines. But as usual, Chess Team is in the thick of it with trouble upon trouble following them everywhere, but the well written characters and team banter shared amongst them is what makes this a very enjoyable read (as well as the rest of the entire series).

The Chess Team is back in their latest adventure, picking up shortly after the events of CANNIBAL. The Team is dealing with the repercussions and fallout from that story when they get dragged into yet another mission to save the world. While ENDGAME and the Chess Team story from SNAFU help explain some setup/ references, this book can be read directly after CANNIBAL with no real gaps - and is one of the best Chess Team books yet.

Many times with a series, they tend to lose momentum as you get further into the books. This is not true with the Jack Sigler/Chess Team series, however. Each book introduces you to a new and terrifying enemy, and leaves you dying to know where they end up next. Empire takes you to the frigid wilderness and instills a chill similar to that of the environment.

An amazing thing about writers is their ability to create stories that makes you think about the ethical consequences of some ideas wondering around the world. Empire takes you on a journey to think about modern ways to keep old world-domination ideas moving forward. But also reveals new insight into the mysteries surrounding Sigler's family. Once more a masterpiece of Jeremy Robinson :)
