This was dark. The heroine suffers through years of abuse. Her father "sells" her to his clients. He is a meth dealer.
The heroine's father "sells" her to the hero.
Some of the verbiage is awkward. The dialogue lost me sometimes. This could have been a very good story, but the execution in parts was weak.
I did not feel this is a Beauty and Beast type story. Except for the fact that the hero has scars, there is nothing else that is even close to the Beauty and the Beast story.

This is such an emotional angsty ridden book yet it was really good. There is so much pain coming from the heroine that you want to hug her and take it away from it all—then we meet the hero- and he is her prince and he too has his own pain yet he goes out of his pain to help her.
Tabitha has led a really rough, painful life-her father has done some very bad, horrible things to her yet she continues to try and rise above this by going to college and helping around the house to keep her half-sisters safe. Her father uses fear and other things to keep Tabitha under his thumb. One day after being left at college for tutoring all day, he takes her to this driveway and is told to go in the house and do whatever the person wants.. ”whatever”. Then her father drives off and leaves her there. After walking forever up the drive, she gets up there, she sees this man and her life changes- Beast aka Cory is a man who is scarred but he doesn’t want sex, just wants someone to clean his home and cook for him. When he sees Tabitha, he feels instantly protective and chemistry but doesn’t want to act because of past Tabitha has-he wants to be protective of her, not the animal he looks like. As they spend time together, they are drawn together by their tragedies and the pain.
There is a nasty villain in this story and its not all hearts and rainbows- there is horrible pain and they do touch on adult topics in the story ( rape, child abuse , assault) Its not on every page but it is there so be aware so if that is something that is a hot button for you , please do not purchase. The way the author dealt with the topics in the story is good and the ending was wonderful. I would have liked there to be a epilogue that showed them down the road and settled. Otherwise, this was a good story with a deep storyline.

Well that was all kinds of messed up! Tabitha is so used to the abuse she just gets on with it. I wanna get her father tied to a chair and hurt him badly with a rusted blunt blade!!

Loved it!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. There were some mistakes here and there but it was a great story and I had a hard time putting it down.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Beast and Tabitha. Tabitha has been on a rough road with her father. While attending college she finds that she is having a lot of trouble with writing papers when she finds out about tutors she wonders if her father will allow her to go. One day after school Tabitha is taken to a driveway and dropped off at the end of it and told to walk to the house and do whatever Beast tells her to do. After stumbling in the dark she finally finds the house and Beast is standing in the entryway so all she sees is a big man in a doorway. She can not read if he is kind or mean. After all she has been though in her life it will take a lot to get her to trust him. Can she in the end?
Beast has secrets many of them in fact. However the more time he spends with Tabitha the more of his secrets he wants to share with her. He only wishes that she would want to share her secrets with him. The problem is some of his secrets could scare or hurt her and that is something he will never allow. The more he gets to know Tabitha the more he wonders what he can do for her and how much she will let him in. The question then becomes can he reach whatever holds her back before her demons come for her again.
This is a great book full of ups and downs. This book has some twists that you might think are coming that will be almost there but there are others that will have you going wow. This book will touch your heart strings and will make you take a second look at certain things. I would recommend this book. Be forewarned it does touch on rape (no details) and abuse of a child (very little detail) maybe hard for some people to read.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. This actually is the first book by author Laura Belle Peters that I have had the privilege of reading. And wow let me say it will certainly not be my last. Beastly is a story that reminds me of a modern day beauty and the beast with a twist and what a twist it has. The Beast or Cory and Tabitha have both had some rough things happen to them in their lifetime and both of them are afraid of where they future may be heading for both of them. Tabitha doesn't think there is such as thing as someone liking her for her and not for what she can give them or should I say for what they take from her. And then you have Cory ( Beast) who has been taken advantage of for years and has the scars to prove it. Can anyone ever love me he repeats to himself everynight? And Tabitha well lets just say that even if someone can love her she is so broken that she may never be able to let someone in. But there is so much more to the story than these two broken people. Like how did certain things take place? And can they see past each others issues and see what's right in front of them? And so much more. I loved this story and it's characters this book kept me entertained the entire time I was reading it. And now I just can't wait to see whats coming next. This was a decent story about 2 damaged people who find love and healing together. The reason I gave this 3.5 instead of 4 stars is because while it's a good read I feel like it was missing something. As another reviewer stated it felt a little shallow. I didn't connect with the main characters enough to get emotionally involved in the story. Both of their tales were tragic and I felt bad for them. However, it never took that extra step where I got really invested in them. Overall it is a good way to spend the afternoon. I would recommend if you are looking for a quick Beauty and the Beast kinda story.

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
I love reading books from New authors. They usually have such a unique voice and I found that quality with Laura Belle Peters. I was drawn into the story with a different twist on a beauty and the beast storyline.
Tabitha has been living in hell under her father's reign for years. He is basically scum an abusive man that loves drugs more than his daughters. Tabitha will do what she needs to protect her sisters at any cost.
Beast is so much different than her father. He wants to protect her from harm to hurt her. He has his own secrets though that could do just that.

I liked it. I've read a few Beauty & the Beast type stories and this one was different than the typical. The synopsis here pretty much summarizes the whole story other than what happens after she is kidnapped. I liked the suspense. It had some nice twists. I did not get any big "feels". We never get in real deep with the characters, so I never felt that connection between them. Everything is kept pretty shallow. It was a fairly quick read, so I was able to read, enjoy the story and move on. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Beastly grabs your attention from page one, I couldn't wait to see what happens. Tabitha has long ago given up on fairy tales, she lives with an abusive father who uses her for what ever he needs. She is trying to go to college so she can make a better life for herself but there something holding her back. Beast was just like her father before, he gets a second chance to correct his wrongs. Together they are both scarred souls. Can they get their happily ever after? Your going to have to read it.

This book is great emotional read. You have two very broken characters that fall in love with each other even through their difficult past and struggles. Tabitha is young strong woman trying to protect her little sisters from their dad and life their dad is making Tabitha live through. Beast meets Tabitha and all he wants to do is protect her. Laura did an amazing job and look forward to reading more of her work. Received copy for honest review

Tabitha is a young woman that felt stuck with her father. Beast was a kind and caring guy that was willing to do about anything to protect Tabitha from harm. I loved the story line and plot. I received an ARC. For and honest review , tabitha was dealt a hard hand in life and you will see just how bad she has it . Until she gets an unlikely savior . Beast is just as broken as tabitha and they find comfort in each other . This was a good quick read for me . Has a HEA . I enjoyed this story and will follow this author for future reads

I do not usually give 5 star ratings. I was with pleasure I gave it to this book, my 5 star criteria is a book that can make me both laugh and cry. This one fit the bill. It was so well written and the characters so well portrayed I had a hard time believing this was a new author. I will be looking for more from her and hope she can keep up the high standard she has set.

Beautiful, bold and breathtaking
I had this sitting in my KU to read, and now that I am done thinking why oh why did I wait,this story had me from the first chapter.
I couldn't put it down, definitely worth the purchase and read more by this author, her description gives great insight into the book, add to your TBR list .

Great story!! Hate Tabitha's father, that poor girl went through so much horror, and can't trust anyone......until Beast, he helps her anyway he can, makes her feel safe and earns her trust and her love.......until her father shows up and turns her world upside down again

Tabitha was stuck in a life her father put her into. when he makes a deal she has to go to Beast and wow did her life change. Beast wanted to protect Tabitha and he will do just that when feelings become strong and their life together is in danger she has to take drastic steps .

This is an intriguing take on a beauty and the beast type story. Except this story had so much more angst and drama. Almost a dark version with a HEA. It was well written. Once I started reading this I could not put it down.
