As someone who grew up struggling under "Word of Faith" doctrine, this book was refreshing, validating, and long-needed for me. I wish I'd discovered it 5 years ago. If you've ever been told that someone you love would have been healed if you'd had enough faith, or if you've been told "real Christians can't get depressed", then this book is for you. I will gladly add it to my collection if I come across a copy.
Good book to read after coming out of a short stint in a non-theologically sound spirit-heavy church. The author details the difference between presumption in assuming God will work a miracle for us every time, and faith. It was reaffirming to read. I wish I could give this book to everyone in that body.
"This book is a great treatment of what is wrong with much of today's charismatic health wealth and prosperity doctrine. Farah injects an insiders opinion, having worked with Oral Roberts for many years, as well as several other notorious ministries."
