I told Catherine about the slogan and how I had once made it my own personal maxim. She said that she had never interpreted the phrase in the same way as me. To her it was not 'the best a man can get' as in get for himself, grab, acquire, have; it was the best he can be, the best he can grow, the best a man can become.
