Helping Hands: A Story of Love, Faith and Restoration

Rate this book
The cozy township of Apple Valley is nestled beneath a range of mountains in central Pennsylvania. Orchards blossom in the springtime and when fall arrives, residents can smell the mouth-watering aroma of apples cooking at a local cannery. Mary Bergen grew up in this valley. It is where she married her childhood sweetheart, Danny, and raised her daughter, Patricia. Now a widow, she lives alone on a farm that is much too big for her to maintain without help. Faced with financial difficulties, she makes a heart-wrenching decision to sell the Bergen property. Then world-renowned chef, Hank Anderson, appears on her doorstep in the midst of a snow storm, and Mary's life changes in ways she never imagined. Helping Hands is a story of love, faith and restoration.

This book was great and very life-like in many ways. I think anyone would enjoy the story if they like to read about love and romance. I couldn't put it down till the last page. Once I started reading, I was hooked and needed to know the end, so I was up well past my usual sleep time. The author, Claudia McCants, truly captured and portrayed the love and honor of a wonderful mother, grandmother and a recent widow.
