In her studies, Ennacas has learned that Tratchars were once the most feared warriors in the Empire. She wants to know why, and there is one Elf she can turn to for answers. As an ancient, Rothliel was fully trained to serve the Empire as a Tratchar Warrior. At her request, he will share the knowledge that has been lost to those who share their talents over the millenniums. Only one Tratchar cannot attend his classes, Endiku, for the war in the Free Lands, where he lives, has not abated. The order of the Great Guardian of the Free Lands, to bring Ennacas to it, leaves Endiku no choice but to face his Life Mate, for The Great Guardian has a quest for them that will take their combined talents to complete. When the time comes for him to collect his bride, he is apprehensive. He has not spoken to her for centuries and is unsure of his welcome. She is a woman now, and there is nothing more dangerous than a female who feels she has been taken for granted, especially one who is a Tratchar and an Eagle Claw.

This is the 9th book in the Elven Chronicle Series and it has to do with the Tratchars of all the kingdoms, but especially Ennacas & Endiku. They haven't seen each other for a long time since Ennacas' fiasco with her seeking some sexual knowledge with a Dark Elf. She was severely punished for it. Endiku came upon them and he was furious, left and hasn't contacted her for quite a while.

The Great Guardian of the Free Lands has instructed Endiku to fetch his mate Ennacas, and bring her home. The demons have starting attacking again only this time they are trying to attack the Great Guardian and all the Sentinenals. Ennacas has become very powerful and her powers keep increasing. She will become the most powerful of all Tratchars. The Great Guardian has instructed her on what to do about saving the knowledge of the Great Guardian, all the Sentinenals and of all the ancient scrolls in the library in the Free Lands. Ennacas & Endiku have said the bonding words in front of the Great Guardian, as per it's orders since Ennacas is being stubborn. The mating will eventually take place on their journey, since they have a mission to perform and they have to go to all the kingdoms. Eol & Timorean go along with them. While they are in the Wild Lands, what the Drow King Nathal does and says is hilarious.

There is just to much happening and going on while they are on their mission, you'll have to read it for yourself and you won't be disappointed. Has fighting, suspense and romance with a little of Mary Ann's unique humor thrown in. I highly recommend this book as much as the eight others in this series ( recommend you start from book one so you'll get to know all the awesome characters and their place in the series). So anticipating the release of the next one!!

Wow. What a great story. It had me enthralled since the start. This book was more than Ennacas and Endiku even though Ennacas was the reason the Elven kingdoms went through such a change. It's a dire times for the Elves as the Demons started to attack again. So many lives were lost including someone important to the Light Elven Kingdom. The Great Guardian in the Free Lands has given a very important task to Ennacas that if she failed this quest, every Elven Kingdom will be doomed. With the help of her Life Mate and the best elite guards picked by Eol, the journey to save the Elven kingdoms started in earnest. Camthalion, son of the Sun was in this book, this Elf has so much power that I'm awed by it. So many incredible scenes in this book. Prediction of the future by S'Larea and Daroth showed the war between the Demons and the Elves is not over yet. Amazing ceremony in the end to save the Great Guardians. Beginning of the new Elven Empire has insulted Drazon greatly that he is waiting to leave his demon infested mountain so he could wreak havoc and the role S'Larea has to play makes me anxious. This book was absolutely phenomenon. Proud and awed by the Eagle Claw family. Love the humorous scenes in this book such as meeting the Drow King and his Queen. Very interesting kingdom. I cannot wait to read Earwen's Song.

I got an Arc of this book and must say I loved it. Endiku and Ennacas did not part on the best of terms when last they met and so his greeting from her was not friendly to say the least. When she finds out the great Guardian of the Free Lands has sent for her she puts aside her feelings and goes with Endiku to meet with the great tree. Ennacas has grow into the most powerful Tratchar alive and her powers are still growing. The quest will take their troup of elves to all the Kingdoms of the Empire. With her are Enidiku's brother Eol to guard them, and Ennacas's brother Timorean also a Tratchar, Rothliel and three more Tratchars from the High Elvin Kingdom to accomplish the task. There are perils along the way and the stop at the Drow Kingdom had me laughing so hard at King Nathal it was hard to see the words. There are so very many things that are going on as this quest is happening. They would be spoilers so can't say but it is full of tense fights and Mary Ann's great humor . Highly recommend this book.

Tratchars by M.A. Abraham is the 9th book in her Elven Chronicles series. This series just keeps getting better and better. Two powerful Tratchars join hands in battle and love to fight the Demons. M.A. Abraham has given us another wonderful, thrilling adventure, with our favorite Elves. Tratchars brings forth the younger generation, as Ennacas (Eden and Gabriel oldest daughter) and Endiku, who is her lifemate, are the leads in this story. It starts with a young Ennacas being punished for sneaking out at night with her cousins, after being found by Endiku (who just arrived in the kingdom). Ennacas is punished by her parents to learn all facets of being an Elven warrior, as well as a Tratchar, with no time for fun. This will take over a hundred years. In Tratchars time flies, but the Elven world time is different than our time, though I did find it kind of weird to see in different parts the major lapse in time.

The crux of the story is that the Demons have now started in full force a war that bring all the kingdoms together to fight a very strong and powerful evil that threatens the lives of all the Elves we have grown to love. The Great Guardians (Sentinels) are slowly being destroyed in each Elven Kingdom, and Ennacas is the chosen one who is sent on a mission by the Guardians, that will bring her together with Endiku, who will help protect her, and Rothliel, possibly the oldest and most powerful Tratchar, who will work alongside her. Their mission: they must dig below each Great Guardian, and remove the light that keeps them alive with memories. But along the way, the evil Demons are ready to attack the Elves with dangerous slithering snakes that not only are destroying the trees, they will also destroy those who come save them. Ennacas, Endiku, Rothliel and their warrior/tratchar team will visit each Kingdom and bring what was taken from each Guardian to be placed in a safe place where the demons cannot get to in order for the Great Guardians to be reborn.

Rather than to tell too much more, this was a wonderful story, which is not only exciting, but brings everyone (all the Eagle Claw family, the Elves we have loved, and those we met over the 8 books) together to fight evil, as well as giving us a beautiful romance between Ennacas and Endiku. The Elven Chronicles is a fun series, and in Tratchars, it is a bit more serious with the upcoming war; but so great to see the children growing up and joining the elders in the battle for freedom. M.A. Abraham does it again with a wonderful story.
