“You know now that monsters are real. Whether they have recently risen to reach for your flesh, or have chosen now to step from the shadows; you are surrounded by them. You also know that I am one too, but I’m all you’ve got and time is running out…” There’s no rest for the wicked, especially in a zombie apocalypse. Britannia has used every vampire skill at her disposal to keep those she cares for safe, but with old enemies and unseen adversaries moving against her, she will have to push herself to both her physical and ethical limits to survive. Britannia is changing, but will it be for the better? 14+ due to violence and adult situations Please note this is the second book in a series that should be read in order.

Wow! This series gets better and better! I can't get over how much I love these characters and how fresh and wonderful I find Nicky's writing! I have loved this series from the start and I have to say Britannia’s character and her world get more and more interesting the more I get to read!
I was intrigued by the fact of a vampires and zombies in the same novel from the first, but this series goes above and beyond just even that! We are introduced to the concept of a vambie (half vampire half zombie) a concept that of course people I am sure have thought about but no one has put to page before. I believe no one could bring them to life quite like Nicky did! They are a terrifying concept and an even more terrifying thing to read in action! Nicky did an amazing job bringing them to life!
Not only did she bring the terrifying to life she brings Britannia's terrifying past to life in this second book, As if her present wasn't scary enough! Nicky does chaos and villains like a silk rapped nightmare, totally flawless and perfect! You know they are going to come at you, yet you are somehow surprised all the same when they do, as if they would change their minds before attacking. Its pure perfection!
There was some surprising twists and a whole lot of uphill battles in this that keep you constantly on your toes throughout the whole thing. What gets me time and time again is the amazing size of Britannia's heart! No matter the cost to herself she will charge in to save anyone! She is a true hero. Don't any of you miss out on this incredible series!
Bad Timing is the sequel to Bad Blood. After battling an enormous pack of zombies and her former friend Philippe, Britannia must find a way to get to Ireland. Her vampire enemy Nicholas has already reached their destination with all the humans they were able to save. Britannia must find a way to let them know that she survived and that they have to come back for her. During her search for a working radio she finds more humans who need to be rescued. While she comes across as being rude she has a good heart.
Even a vampire can be destroyed by zombies. If Britannia gets bitten enough she will no longer be a full vampire. She has seen it happen. Britannia is astonished when she finds out that a vampire which she believed was killed a long time ago is haunting the streets. To beat him she must tap into all of her skills and strength. Will she make it to Ireland and can she go back to the reincarnated love of her life Josh?
I read Bad Blood and was instantly hooked. This series has everything that I could ever wish for. zombies, vampires, good and evil, love and lots of twists and turns. I loved that I didn't know what would happen next. Nicky Peacock is very skilled in delivering the horror that comes with a story likes this. There will be a third book in the series and I will be literally bouncing on my seat when it comes out.
Please note that this is the second book in a series and to understand the story it is recommended to read the books in the correct order.
Britannia is back. She finds herself washed ashore and looking for willing humans. What she finds is how the zombie apocalypse has spread to not only humans but animals also. Though in finding this she runs into a past nemesis that she would do anything to vanquish. Unfortunately her decisions will change her and reveal how the Zombie infection was developed. But when all those she cares about is threatened she must do all she can to protect them and their dwindling food supply.
This was an exciting and entertaining sequel in this series. I really saw how Britannia has changed and how she changes those around her. We found her on her own a lot in this book. Her loved ones were pretty sparse in this book. There are also a lot of big revelations in this book. Revelations that will rock Britannia to her foundation. Though this was an exciting addition, I wished there had been more to this story than their was. I think things could have been explored a bit more than it was. Overall, this was a good paranormal book that will have you salivating for more.
A good sequel, though I think there was too much happening too fast. I'm a fast reader, and I thought the story would have been stronger with a lot more detail regarding the plot and the backstory. There was so much more I wanted to know and was curious about, but it went by too fast. I've read the previous novel, so I quickly remembered who everyone was, but I didn't feel like anyone other than Brit got a lot of growth. They just seemed to be... there. Also, I wanted more of a villain. It was clear in the first half of the book, not so much in the second half. Still, the novel was fun and I was glad to have read it, courtesy of the author. The romantic parts between Britannia an Tate should be revved up. There are so many characters in the picture, that it is difficult to decide who her true love is. All in all, it is a good story for people who love vampires and zombies. Xena Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More
