I couldn't handle this one. The H started off trying to figure out a way to have sex with both the h and her mom when they first meet. He totally hits on the mom, and even rubs his hard cock on her thigh! He was a total ass. When the h's mom asked him what he did for a living (or if he was in school), he was proud to say that he did nothing -- and he is 26 living with his dad. Yeah! Real winner of a H there! I just got to the part where he snuck in to her bedroom and h was all about to offer him her virginity to him on a golden platter right after meeting him. Even though he was nothing but crude, full of innuendos, hitting on her mom, and kind of an asshole -- but, like, totally hot *eye roll* and she was constantly giggling. Ideal candidate to lose your virginity to, stupid chick! I skimmed ahead just out of curiosity to see if it got any better, and it didnt seem like it did. Don't get me wrong -- I like a jerk H that redeems himself, but at 88% he's telling her to "shut the fuck up" it becomes a totally different thing to me.

I really like to read and I can read about anything. I can't say that I have my triggers, because I can read about cheating, abuse, menage, kinky sex, illness, death, murder, mobster... I don't mind this things as long as I feel the story, in other words the story has to be believable. But with this one I have reached my limit. I think my new trigger is stupidity. By stupid I don't refer to people who are uneducated but rather to people who are uber-assholes.

I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book very much. If you are looking for a book that has very down-to-earth issues in it but is packed with some of the hottest and steamiest sex scenes in it, this is one for you to read. But not only is it chock-full of panty-wetting sex scenes it has lots of laughs in it as well as some of the very issues that come up in our every day lives. The characters in this book face some of the very same life altering decisions and difficult scenarios that our kids, nieces and nephews face in the real world. There is plenty of action and adventure in this book and I loved that just when you thought you knew where this book was going, it took a sharp turn and took you in a completely different direction! There is a whole lot of lovin' going on in this book but there is also some pretty deep issues that definitely make you think. I was glued to this book from the moment I started it. I have read a couple of Mr. Hartford's books now and I can see him growing as an author and know that there are only good things in his future and in his writing. Great job Devon, I look forward to reading more of your work!

I've read all of Devons books. I absolutely love his writing but I think this one is by far my most favorite! In this book we follow chastity who is turning 18. The day before she meets lance her new bad boy next door neighbor. Chastity lives with her mom who's a total religious nut and her sister Charity who's just starting high school. Their mom and dad divorced years ago and though they still keep in touch regularly he lives far away for work. Lance moves him and his father to this quiet neighborhood hoping to keep his dad out of trouble. He's a drunk. Lance is a dj hoping to get a big break and make a music video. Lance and chastity meet and begin their affair against her mothers crazy religious ways. I couldn't put this book down. Lance was the perfect alpha male. He was so sweet and tender with chastity and her sister but very protective. There was no cheating or any of that drama which I loved. I get so sick of alphas saying they love the girl then cheat on her when times are tough! This book is alot about both families and chastity and lance Falling in love. Really a great book I can't say enough good things about.

What a way to start 2016 I am a huge fan of Devons work and have read every single one of his publications but wow what a fantastic read !!!!!!!

When life seems to have be a one way street nothing ever changes until you get a hot neighbour turn up and he has every intention of living life to the fullest and turning your world upside down.
Chastity and her sister charity live at home with there mom who lives her life by gods rules but when lance turns out to be there new neighbour things get hot pretty fast.
Faith try's her hardest to keep lance and his father away from her and her daughters but when that pull is too strong she is left devastated and alone.
Love this read and I like the fact it's a HEA and not a cliffhanger there's always a silver lining.

Well, once again Devon does not disappoint. The characters are amazing and while Lance and Chastity are the main characters other various characters lead to further intriguing scenarios. Leaving the reader wanting to know more.
A bad boy next title might lead the reader to think that this book might be similar to other novels with the same title but in true Devon fashion I'm always so surprised by the hook and foreshadowing. Which in my opinion lend to great reading and hopefully more novels to include the rest of the characters in this book. Especially those with psychotic behavioural tendencies and the mother of Chastity "Faith".

Lance is a handsy man, “you wear that to the office and I’ll have to bend you over my desk and spank you while I eff you,” Lance muses behind me. I revieved this book in exchange for a honest review. I will warn all those who read this book to make sure they do not have work shortly after starting and are not busy. This story between Lance and Chaz is a fast paced story which has you guess at each turn.
Chaz is a young women who has to put up with a crazy religious mother who goes over the top with every think. Chaz wants to be free and experience life without her crazy mother. Never has Chaz done a sin, she is sweet pure innocence with a hidden strength of will within her. Through the story we watch as Chaz starts to become her own person and choses her own life.
Lance is the bad boy every parent tells their daughter to stay away from. Foul mother, Sexy sin and bad to the bone. He is a walking wet dream. But underneath his sexy interior is a man who fights a battle within himself. Their is more then meets the eye with Lance. Stuck with his father an alcoholic. Lance is left to raise and support them both.
As this is a fast pace story which keeps your mind guessing on whats going to happen. When Chaz and Lance are alone and put together, any think can happen. Expect the under expect with these two. Wow Lance is one of those Bad Boys you Hate to Love! He's cocky and arrogant with a foul mouth and a player to boot but he's also sexy as sin and completely irresistible! Chastity lives up to her name she's a pure church going sheltered 17 year old (well for one more day) when she meets her new bad boy neighbor she's been dying to break free and live and Lance is her opportunity what starts off as 2 people not looking for anything serious leads to a scorching hot but extremely complicated affair. This book is amazing and not like anything else out right now trust be there are some of the sexier scenes I've ever read you don't want to miss this!!

We meet Lance and Chastity... If you want to know what happens, read the blurb but in a nutshell, Chastity's mum is a religious nut which at times drove me crazy, Lance moves next door to them (that's Faith the mum, Chastity and her sister Charity) with his alcoholic dad.
Cue the hot sexy scenes (which are a lot!) runaways, arguments, raves, and as I said before crazy Faith and you have yourself a pretty great read :)
Would definitely recommend, and am loving Devon Hartford's storytelling abilities:)

This is a story of a total bad boy with a good heart. Love how one person can help the other "come out of their shell" and make them who they need to be. Throw in a unique storyline and some crazy friends and family members and you have one fun story to read.

Wow, cough, cough.
I am a 45 yr old mother of 2, married for almost 17 yrs, and consider myself to be pretty open minded ( yeah I've read and seen Fifty Shades - several times! ) But phew eeee this is one hot and steamy book!
From the first page, Lance is loud, arrogrant, brash, cocky and many more of those types of decriptives. This book hits you like a big, fat, wet and sexy slap in the face. I raised my eyebrows at the last sentence on the first page and I still have one cocked even though I have finished reading it!
It's thigh clenching at times to say the least.
At first I had some doubts about Lance, seemingly no job, no school, no money just basically drifting, and I wanted to shout; "Step away from the Lance, Chastity". There was definately a feeling of no good was to come from this relationship. But Lance is surprisingly quite a deep and complex character, so well written.
There are certainly questionable aspects to Lance and Chastity's partenership, unconventional, sordid, frenzied and perhaps a little broken. With Lance falling over the edge of down right dirty!
I loved the endearing relationship between father and daughters, all too often when parents are separated, the author chooses to give the father the negative aspect, but not in this case, it made a really great change.
As the story unfolds, you find yourself looking at Lance in a very different way, the need and want to take charge and take care catapulting through all the crudeness and bravardo. The way he feels about Chastity and then the expression of brotherly love for her sister Charity, the stand that he takes against their mother but for them, makes you fall a little bit in love with him.
Once again the author finds the perfect 2 characters to comedy duel throughout the story, Lark and Chastity have some fabulous passages and it definately eases the tension during some heated moments.
I liked the ending, may not be what everyone is expecting or would prefer, but life is like that sometimes, you don't always get what you want or the results you want.
Devon changes direction with every book he writes, keeping it fresh. You don't feel like you are reading the same story but with different names. In this book He has tackled some really tough issues and done so with great sensitivity.
His books are also getting hotter with each one I read, I may have to take to reading his books in a bath of cold water as a precaution!
Once again, I highly recommend this book and any other of this author's titles, you won't be disappointed.

This Author writes great young adult stories with interesting characters who turn out to be nothing like the reader expects them to be. This is Lance and Chastity's story. Lance and his dad move in next door to Chastity who lives with her single mom and her younger sister Charity. Chastity's mom is a bible thumping woman who finds Lance and his dad to be crude, rude and disgusting men and forbids her girls from spending time with them after a near tragic event.
Chastity grows in this story from the young 18 yr old virgin, to a woman who enjoys her body and learns to love for the first time. Lance, what can I say, he is a hot, talented and deeply caring young man who is struggling to keep a roof over his and his dad's heads while struggling with his father's addiction.
It was difficult to pick out the best quotes as there were so many in this book. There is lots of crude language, swearing and profanity in this book; if this bothers you perhaps you should pick another book to read.
"Mr. Hot Sauce eyes me like he wante to sprinkle himself all over me and take a bite."
"A lock of hair dangles over one dreamy eye as he curls his grin and shakes his head. It's the sexiest head shake ever and it promises naughtiness. "You're not going anywhere," he murmurs."
"Lance's eyes flicker wickedly as he meets Mom's gaze dead on. He doesn't look away."

This was another entertaining book with lots of laughs, a few tears and an ending that was more than fine with this reader. Excellent writing and an original story line to boot.

Chastity grows in this story from the young 18 yr old virgin, to a woman who enjoys her body and learns to love for the first time. Lance, what can I say, he is a hot, talented and deeply caring young man who is struggling to keep a roof over his and his dad's heads while struggling with his father's addiction.
It was difficult to pick out the best quotes as there were so many in this book. There is lots of crude language, swearing and profanity in this book; if this bothers you perhaps you should pick another book to read.

OMG, what a fantastic read! Wow. I'm still dumbfounded, even though I finished this book last night. I got immediately sucked into the story and couldn't let go.
Lance - what a guy! When I started reading this story I tought of him as a cocky bastard but that soon changed. There are layers of his sweetness that you are revealing chapter after chapter and can't help but to fall in love with him.
Chastity lives with her mom who's a total religious manipulator and her younger sister Charity. Mom drives the two of them crazy and goes beyond normal. Luckily for Chaz there's a hot, sexy guy that just moved in next door and is willing to give her a getaway from this life.
This is the third book that I've read by this author and like I've said it before: if you think this is a light, steamy read you should know that you are getting so much more than just than.

My first Devon Hartford book and I loved it! I gave it 5 stars because there was just something about the story which I really liked. I'm not sure whether it was that Lance was an ass in the beginning and was scoping out both Chastity and her mother and was planning on having sex with both of them and then learning more about Lance I slowly changed my mind and thought that he was such a sweetie. I really loved the storyline and there was drama, but not as angsty as I thought it would be. It just seemed to be more realistic than overly dramatic - with Lance's dad being an alcoholic and Chastity's mom being a self righteous bitch who was divorced from her dad who moved to a different state to get a better job to pay for alimony.
I'm excited to read more of Devon's books. Not to sound sexist, but this man can write sexy romances that women will read better than some of the women authors out there. Well done!

This was another great book by Devon, I really loved Lance and Chastity's characters and the story from beginning to end kept you on your toes. There was a slight change to Devon's usual style of writing in this book, which was really refreshing and left the reader anticipating the impending disaster (if you've read his other books you will know what I mean), however it never came in this book, yes there were a few hiccups but these were easily resolved between the couple and there was no unnecessary separation.
It was also nice that characters from the other books in other series had a part or reference in this, although if you have not read the other books this will not spoil your reading of this book at all.

Completely engrossing and believabe characters! Chastity is a good girl, being raised by her religious fanatic mother. Lance is the bad boy that just moved in next door with his alcoholic father. The moment they meet the sparks will fly, and soon the two are heavily involved. An abusive mother and alcoholic father insures a book with lots of emotional ups and downs for Chastity and Lance. This book is definitely sizzling hot sexy, but it also made me laugh. I loved this book, and the characters, and it's a happily ever after!

So I've got to be honest...I hated Lance at the beginning...absolutely hated him. This is the first book of Devon's I've read and I thought, oh boy what did I get myself into. And I didn't like Chastity...mostly because I am jealous...because I'm kinda wishing my 18 year old self could have had some of her experiences. But, I kept on reading and I'm glad I did. I FLOVED Lance and Chastity. I love how he loves her. I love how he loves her sister. I love how Devon wrote the thoughts of a 14 and 18 year old girls so well. And let's just say I don't know if I can ever eat at a Marble Slab again... :-) I will definitely be reading more of Devon's books in the future!

I really enjoyed this book, from the start you can see the humour! I love the sassy side of chastity (what a name ha-ha) who when with her mother is a ''virginal angel'' due to her mothers overbearing lifestyle and dedication to church life, but away from her, she is quite the fox! then you have Lance, who is a confident sex crazy, typical male, who just has to have little miss perfect! I found the story very real life then this is the book to read, away from the sex scenes (yes there are some) the story line and issues covered in here are very similar to IRL. Thoroughly enjoyable, heart gripping story, as always Mr Hartford didn't disappoint!! <3

Once again Devon has created a masterpiece. I absolutely LOVE this story. Yet again I laughed, cried, got angry and even turned on over the chemistry and stories behind these two AMAZING characters. Lance stole my heart through the book and Chastity had me feeling for her through it all. this story has a strong Dominant male AND a strong willed and independent female who will do anything to have what she wants! MUST READ!!!

This was such a sweet romance with just enough hottness ! Lance and Chastity were hot for each other from the beginning. This book has romance, adventure, and mystery all rolled into one sexy tale. I highly recommend it to you to read. You will not be disappointed.

I don't know how Devon does it! Every book I read of his has a fresh story line that sucks me in from the first page. The reader is treated to Devon's classic quick wit and humor as well as those steamy scenes we love. TBBND is a definite page turner that you won't be able to put down!
