But Vivica, his old vampire girlfriend, will stop at nothing to get him back into her life – or else.

With Idris facing a life time as an Exsul, Darlene finds herself trying to cope with her own power of seeing and connecting with spirits. Idris is tormented by his life choices and where he ends up at the risk of shoving Darlene away from him. Then Idris' maker turns up on his doorstep with a seductive promise – to lead a pack of Exsuls for the purpose of changing the future of all werewolves to come. Will Idris and Darlene be able to survive these trying times?
Book 4
Just as Darlene thinks her life has settled down, a terrible old foe returns for revenge. Darlene is still learning how to control her abilities with the spirit world when Jacob returns with an army of his own werewolf/vampire hybrid creatures. He has only one goal... get his revenge on Darlene and the packs that ruined his plan with Lucian the first time around. Darlene and Idris find themselves fighting for survival for the final time – but will they both survive?

Book 1
This is an interesting series about a BBW who is very insecure about her weight and a loner who meets and becomes involved with a werewolf. This also leads to her finding out she has some kind of latent power. The premise is good and the story presented fairly well about the warring packs. Lots of action and stuff going on. Now on to book 2 to see how things are resolved.
Book 2
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Wasn't too sure what to expect after book one but I was glad I read it. The story is improving with each book although Darlene is still being head strong and stubborn and leading them into one situation or another while trying to figure out the mystery. Still a lot going on which Ms Dunbar ties up in a nice package and delivers with a punch.
Book 3
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Now that Darlene has gotten them in a fine mess with her best friend now a vamp and her werewolf boyfriend facing exile what more can possibly happen?! Oh yeah Darlene can see spirits and commune with them. Yup a lot going on but as we get to know the characters and dynamics it all flows well. Nicely done

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Ms Dunbar Nailed It! Although the series started off slow, introducing the characters and setting the stage, each book in the series gets better and better to an amazing finish! Great read!

We have werewolves, vampires, ghosts and a touch of magic. Idris is a werewolf with an anger management problem. Then there is Darlene who works at a bookstore that specializes in hard to find books. Idris meets Darlene when he comes to town looking for his missing Alpha. From the beginning there's a connection between them. Darlene has a complex about her appearance due to an earlier relationship. Idris has an anger problem and the pack in Darlene’s town has a problem with Idris. He also has an ex that is vampire and jealous. His current pack leader has gone rogue. Darlene’s best friend is turned into a vampire by Idris’ ex and there is a war brewing.
Darlene and Idris started this adventure in a whirlwind affair. Idris has become Exsul (outcast) for killing the town Alpha and now he’s blaming Darlene. She has gotten a handle on her gift of interacting with spirits and is dating the new Alpha of the werewolf pack in town. There are hybrid vampire/werewolves running rampant in town. The goal is to destroy all werewolves and the hybrids will rule the world. The final battle and the growth of all of the characters in handling their individual issues makes this a story that I couldn’t put down. I was rooting for Darlene and Idris through most of the story, but started to like that Darlene moved on. I loved the way it ended with everyone getting exactly what they want. This was another of Darla's series' I couldn't put down.

You have Darlene which lead a route of her life. Darlene also feels down in the dumps with the break up. Then one day that all changed with Idris. Idris is a werewolf that is looking for his pack leader which is missing. Darlene is helping Idris and vice versa. Darlene also relays that she has powers and is trying to control/master them. There are some twist and turns in this books. What a great box set. I loved the story line and plot. It also is suspenseful & surprising with auction in it. I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

Very creative, full of twists. Never could predict the end and how the relationships ended
