"Williams channels the ghost of Bukowski in this wonderfully ugly story of laziness and romance. His prose is sharp and brutally honest. Read his words with gloves on, because your hands are bound to get dirty." -- Max Booth III, author of HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY KIDNAP STRANGERS
Follow Chuck Becker, alcoholic painter and writer, as he finagles his way to rent-free living, the company of women, horse racing tips, and a cult following for his poetry and prose.

I found this book laugh out loud funny. The main character is an author/poet but he is on the lazy side and he looks for the easy ways in life. Enter a redhead at a bar, and the mix is steamy and crude at times. Well written, a great short story with an original storyline and interesting characters. "In one fell swoop, the dragon of reality had seared my unicorn to a crisp." "Red here is a honky-tonk special. She was just leaving." "Does the carpet match the drapes?"
A brief but fun romp into a writer's life, taking a cue from Charles Bukowski and his unabashed world of drinking, writing and fucking - in no particular order.
