About the author

After graduating in history at University College London, I missed writing about history whether it was Tokugawa Japan or the American revolution. As a graphic designer and writer I wanted to combine history with a fun graphical style. Now I present a gift to children who have a curiosity about the world around them and its rich past, in the form of my series 'Simple History'.

It gives a good overview of Hitler and how he tried to control Germany with taking over every aspect of life. I don't understand Hitler's fascination with the Aryan nation when he obviously wasn't himself. He was a typical dictator who wanted control of everything and at the same time seemed to fear someone taking control from himself. His head leaders of individual parts committed suicide instead of paying for their crimes when Germany lost the war.

Was good for a quick summary

For a short comic style text it was quite informative. Would recommend for students studying nazi germany and need a recap.

Great illustrations and very informative.
Great background on Hitler rising to power and society around that time.
