At Wild Bluff everything is going great for Davis and Ryan, but Duff’s heart attack throws the ranch into a tailspin, leaving Davis wondering if he can stay at Wild Bluff. Everything calms down for a while, but another hitch is thrown into the works, forcing the guys to scramble.
Marshal is finally coming into his own after healing from the injuries Craig inflicted on him. He’s taken on more responsibility running the operations, but when disaster strikes, he blames himself for not being in the field.
Tensions run high when it looks like one of their own is lost. Will they come together or be split apart? One life hangs in the balance as the future of Wild Bluff is put to the test.
***Action, sexy times, and we see a maturing team !*** This is a busy episode five, in this amazing series. Each book get better and more interesting. The guys are paired up, mostly, and our warriors are training, going on tough missions, and loving their lives. Davis and Ryan are back from their separate training classes, but coming home is met with Duff's heart attack. Marshal and Grant took over while he heals, plus a huge secret is revealed. There's a mission to London, as the team needs to tie up loose ends left by Craig's betrayal. More missions, disguises, espionage, and danger. Especially the last one, where a horrible man needs removal, and it's a sad loss the team takes. Be ready to cry big tears. The team has become closer than ever, and General Duff's medicine is changed so he's better.
The men are being loved with their eyes open, hearts exposed, and love flowing.
Besides plenty of hot lovin', we see action packed events and another fabulous story by Sara York. Each book in the series is wonderful, each can stand alone, but I'm happy I didn't believe the negative reviews of the first book, because this group is worth every word written. Yes, we are told there is a cliffhanger for each book, and some events are continuing, but there are situations that wrap up.
I'm invested in our good guys, the bad guys getting their due, and their love lives flourishing.
These are free on KU, and they are marvelous stories. I'm on to the next one, Colorado Connection, book 6. Highly recommended. ENJOY !
I’ve read this author before but none of this series. This is a mm contemporary story set mainly in the USA. Lots of established couples. Probably best to start this series at book 1. I’m not a big fan of their missions but then the characters show a softer side. Tissues needed for the end. I won’t be reading more as I’m not a fan of violence.
This series is amazing and this book right there as well. Was great to visit with all the guys and how they are adapting to the changes in the unit. Davis finds out a huge secret that Duff had been keeping from him. And Craig is still causing grief and trauma, so they try to tie up lose ends. A new mission puts them in jeopardy with devastating consequences.
Well written, great characters and storyline. I'm ready for the next one!!
God I love these men. Love this series! !!!! Jesus, this just about broke my heart. Ugh, Marshal, how much more can he take? How much can anyone of these amazing men take before they crumble. This was heartbreaking. I'm hoping it goes where my heart is telling me. This was amazing. Friendship, loving, loyalty, lovers, brotherhood, family!! I can not wait for more
Ahhh!! I'm speechless, and that's a lot for me. I love this series, I've fallen for each one of the men. Its full of book boyfriends. Great story and great writing. I'm not giving anything away but the ending gutted me. Can't wait for the next book!
The ending sucks, but doesn't sound like an ending. The next book better be out soon because Sara York is big on HEA so I know that all is not as it seems. People aren't dead until you have the body with genetic proof in front of you.
I love all the guys at Wild Bluff. These books are exciting and hot. Sara has such good characters and the storylines in her series are fantastic. I have her books in my Kindle library and this one is on audible. This one left me wanting the next one. I really want to know what's going to happen next.
This is by far the most emotionally rough one yet. I loved the way that it wasn't a definite close to the character. Shows can learn a lot from Sara York on how to do that correctly. My favorite series by my favorite author. Can't wait for Colorado Connection.
Each of the Wild Bluff books just keep getting better and better. While I have enjoyed the series from the beginning the deeper development of the group as a closer knit family has just made the storyline stronger.
These are such great stories. I'm sitting here crying like a baby. I'm so sad for Marshall and the whole bunch. I hope that hev will get through this....
This one is the most intense of all the Colorado books so far, and it has so much to do with the revelation that Duff springs on his son Davis early on and a mission where one of the MCs of all the books disappears. I'm not going beyond either plot line because there would be too many spoilers.
What is not a spoiler is the intense love affair between Davis and Ryan (he may be the one on the cover) as well as the ongoing love affairs and married relationships of virtually all the other men at Wild Bluff. You can shake your head and say "not likely," but Sara York makes it all seem so real.
When the massively screwed up finale comes along you are shocked, especially since a major threat to the men has been eliminated early on. This one will suck your heart up into your throat--and cause you to run right out and get the next one in the series.
I absolutely loved your review, it was so funny and spot on. I like this series and will read more, but I was getting pretty sick of the sap too. Great review!
Davis, Duff’s son, and his partner Ryan have just returned from training to the ranch. Duff suffers a heart attack, and his mood begins changing. Secrets unravel, and there are nail-biting twists nearly every page. Well a lot of them anyhow! I have heard so much about this book, and I wasn’t disappointed. Colorado Hitch has a lot of action, a lot of angst, plenty of hot-man-sex and grab some tissue you will need them If you like Special Ops, sexy undercover cowboys, drama, suspense and hot man-sex, this is for you. Colorado Heart a series and should be read in order.
Done.... That was no way to end it! Though I'd already made up my mind through all the telling not showing, all the time jumps then summaries telling of what had happened and the nonAmerican grammar that this will be the last time I waste my money on this series... That ending makes me think that I'll probably give up on all of this authors books. There's a reason that I choose not to read Nicholas Sparks books and this is it! That is NOT the ending of a romance! I read to escape real life. I read romances needing that fantasy HEA!!!! Not heartbreak!!!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Two things; A). This series keeps getting better and better. I understand this was primarily catching up with Davis and Ryan and what was going on with Duff but it wouldn't have been nice to see a little more specifics of the others. Yes there's quite a few couples now but even just a little bit with each alone would have been nice. B). SO GLAD I accidentally read book six first. Had I read this and had to wait for the next one I would have been crushed.
2/12/16 Last one! I guess I bought it cause it was 99 cents. Not expecting much improvement. Have to stop for a while. I just can't go on right now.
Finished 2/20/16 A little better than some. Still giant plot holes. "...some equipment that had somehow been made available to them." It's like, if you can't think of a way, in the scene you decided to write, just say "somehow".
I can't stand the ending!,, I know it's fiction but when you've bought into a series and the emotional and romantic lives of the characters, you can't take loss. This was a wonderful book but I only hope there is a better resolution in 'Colorado Connection.' It can't end this way!!!
I love this series. It broke my heart at the end. It made me smile and cry. I always recommend Sara York books to my friends. Now I'm waiting for the next book. I know it can't be over.
Kleenex needed. Well worth the wait but can the wait be shorter for the next!!!! I love all these men and can't believe what has happened is the end!!!
I've been with this series from the beginning. This fifth episode is not as good as the previous ones, but if you are following the series it is a must read.
