Loving Jordan #1-3

Loving Jordan: The Complete Trilogy

Rate this book
A painful longing…

Jordan knows his crush on Rick is hopeless. His football teammate and lifelong friend is straight. Now that they’re heading off to college in separate states, maybe Jordan can finally find a man who’ll return his feelings. He doesn’t know Rick’s secret: every time he’s with a girl, all he can think about is Jordan.

A shattering encounter…

Two weeks before they start their freshman year, the pair spend the weekend in a mountain cabin with a king-sized bed. Years of simmering desire hit the flash point, and Jordan can’t help falling in love with his best friend.

But Rick struggles to accept the truth. He’s afraid of his parents’ disappointment, and as time passes, he only retreats deeper into the closet.

A wrenching choice…

Jordan can’t stop loving Rick, but he won’t live a lie. His ultimatum—come out, or we’re through—traps Rick between his all-American golden-boy image and the man who could be his everything. Will he risk it all to win Jordan’s love?

This steamy gay romance trilogy is for a mature audience. It has an HEA and no cliffhanger.

This is the first book I have read from this author. I will be honest I wasn't for sure about reading this book. It was the first book of its kind that I have read. With that being said, I loved this book. I loved the story between Jordan and Rick. There are times throughout the book that I wanted to strangle Rick. Seriously strangle him. Throughout the book you see the love that brought them both together and it broke my heart when something was going wrong. It's a great read and I would recommend this book. I loved the book so much I bought the paperback to it. This many of been the first book from this author I have read but it will not be the last. I love finding authors that can pull you into the story like Andrea Dalling has done in this book!

Fantastic journey of love

This was an awesome trilogy! Jordan and Rick are beautiful and an exquisite example of unconditional love plus true friendship. Who doesn't wish they could marry their best friend, regardless of gender. The essence of true best friends is their ability to accept you in totality with all your quirks, flaws, faults and still prefer hanging out with you above all others. That's what Rick and Jordy had. Theirs is a beautiful love. Thanks Ms. Darling for a fantastic journey.

Very Satisfying.

Just finished these books and they were very good. Starting out as college bound lovers the romance didn't last but the love and friendship did. Rick loved Jordy but he refused to believe he was gay. Five years later Rick comes to the conclusion that he wants to try again with Jordy. The book is full of sweetness and loving sex, some angst but the development of Rick's character and his love for Jordy is wonderful to read. Thank you for a great book.

The characters were the biggest problem for me. They didn't feel the age they were supposed to be. Their actions were off, their mental maturity was off, and their life experiences weren't quite right. Every major character was lacking in complexity. The plot was actually pretty good, but this was definitely a character driven book and the lack of character development was a problem.

3rd book was the best. I rolled my eyes a bit in the first at the easy transition from sex with only a girl to sex with a man, 2nd. Skimmed the angst and internal dialogue, the 3rd felt more real and realistic.

TA stretch

Come on, these are kids! Even at 1 year out of collage very few people have a great paying job much less having made it. I wish the author did research on how. one becomes an architect. How did Jordan's mom become so negative? There were a few hints but her actions were unexpected. How does an 18 year old gay virgin let his straight best buddy come on to him neither of them has experience. If u want to write a fairytale fine but let t reader know. Otherwise take the time develop the story. The elements were there for a good story but as written it could not happen to this group of young people. Did enjoy the dad and one of the grandmother's. Young sister was cool too.

The first book isn't as good as the last one. Also, there is a large jump in time from the first story to the second. However, the last story was more interesting and had more reliable and believable conflict. It made it worth the wait. One problem was that the background characters are underdeveloped (except for Kat). However, since the first story almost only involves the two MCs, then it is understandable that the other characters don't have enough space to grow in.

Not for me.

This book was a fail for me. I did not like Rick's character at all. He was a selfish jerk. Really, it took him five years and a handful of women to make him realize that the love of his life was Jordy, whom he hadn't seen or had a relationship with for five years. And where was Jordy's self respect and pride letting Rick treat him this way and always giving in to Rick with no respect for himself. It made the book hard to stomach most of the way throughout.

Good book

The characters were good, I got the feeling of getting to know them through the story. The storyline was very good in describing the struggles gay people go through both with interaction with other people and within them self. Sometimes I thought the lines were a little cheesy but I really like this book so I recommend it warmly.

Sweet

I really liked the first book. Both protagonists were young and sweet. A gay kid in love with his best friend. The best friend finally has a sexual awakening. The second installment I just wanted to slap him! By the third installment one realizes that it's not quite so simple. The parents finish out the story and the ending is almost predictable, wonderful none the less.

Rick and Jordan...

This trilogy was spectacular, I just loved it. Rick had to come to terms with who he truly was inside. Jordan and Rick finally find their way back to each other. Awesome story!

Loving Jordan kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happened next. It was well written and played out like a movie in my mind as I read. Rick and Jordan will pull you in from the first page and take you on a surprising ride along their journey to finding each other. I loved it. :)

Wow. This is my favorite M/M romance by far. Even though I got fed up with Rick, I still loved this whole series.

At first I thought this was going to be long and drawn out and full of back and forth angst but I was surprisingly wrong.

Loved it!

I’ve read this series before and I just had to read it again. It was just as good as I remember it being. Andrea Dalling’s writing is great. It’s a sweet heartfelt love story between best friends!
