Autism: A Life So Far in Haikus

Rate this book
This chapbook is a collection of poetry chronicling the life – so far – of Simon. His journey began at the age of 15 months, when he began receiving services from Early Childhood Intervention. At the age of two, he was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Development Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified). He began going to school at three and received his diagnosis of Autism, moderate to severe. He has always struggled to communicate, so the poems in the collection are told in the form of haikus in order to reflect that struggle.
