Despite dumping a boatload of exposition and history in the first few pages (and frequently throughout) I never knew what was going on or why. The action was hard to follow both visually and narratively, and i spent so little time with the characters that I never got to know or care about them. The mecha designs are just Zakus with different shoulder pads, and the characters almost all look the same. Women are almost exclusively represented by prostitutes off-page, save for two characters defined by the men they’re attached to.
