Book three of Wicked Play

Lawyer Allison English never planned to return to The Den—despite her naughty fantasies about being bound by owner Seth Matthews. But when club guest Tyler Wysong is injured in a scene, Seth turns to Allie for help. Aroused by both men, Allie should turn the case down. But she can't…

After his bad experience, Tyler has no interest in being with another Dom. Yet he can't deny his attraction to Master Seth. When Seth offers him a place to stay, Tyler agrees—if Allie will stay too. But what good is a chaperone who adds to his temptation?

Living with two subs brings out Seth's protective instincts, though Allie insists she's not into the lifestyle, and Tyler swears he's done with it. But the chemistry between the trio prompts them to agree to submit to him for one week, and he'll show them both the true pleasure that a Dom can provide.

The intimacy could break them all, or bind them together forever…

I love to read. It's a simple fact that has been true since I discovered the worlds of Judy Blume at the age of ten. After years of weekly travel as a consultant implementing computer software into global companies, I ended my nomadic lifestyle to raise my two children. Now, my imagination is my only limitation on where I can go and my writing lets me escape from the daily duties of being a mom, wife, chauffeur, scheduler, cook, teacher, cleaner, and mediator.

If writing wasn't a priority, it would never get done.

“It’s a good thing I find that controlling thing sexy.”

Sometimes, I hate the multiple POVs but considering this book is about a threesome, I actually appreciated and love it. And yes, I haven’t highlighted anything so I had to go back and finds something. I owe it to the book for making me feel and because I absolutely love it.

I won’t delve deeper into each character but that what I can say is that their character is what complement each one of them and make the threesome work. I like the dynamics and how they support each other, and of course, the challenge of how they can make it actually work.

I love them and my heart broke for each and every one of them. This was just heartbreakingly beautiful. And I like how they fought for each other, to be the better person for the other and yes, it’s a refreshing twist because there was no stubborn streak in there.

And yes, the book is hot. There’s BDSM. And there’s M/M. Check. Check. Check for me.

3.5 RATING- I'm surprised this story rated so low for some people. It wasn't my favorite ménage story but I didn't think it was bad either. I did think there was a lot of energy spent by the characters on why they couldn't be together. At some point, you just have to say "fuck it". I did like the chemistry between the characters and thought the steamy parts were done well. Overall, I'd recommend this book for readers that like MMF menage story lines and those that have enjoyed other books in this series. One note: while the BDSM club is the backdrop in the beginning of this story, unlike other books in this series, there is no play in the club and this is BDSM lite.

Ok, I have to confess I am not sure how to rate this book. On one hand this was awesome and too much sometimes. On the other there were parts where it was not enough

Tyler especially was a great character. I adored him and his story made me hurt for him. Seth was strong, honest but sometimes I just couldn't believe him being a Dom or Master. Allie was a bit selfish sometimes but nevertheless believable

All in all, I liked the story but still not sure about it

Bonds of Desire is Book 3 in the Wicked Play series. I don't think you need to have read Books 1 & 2 to enjoy this one but you may want to go back and pick them up AFTER you read this! Also, it looks like this series will continue but this book is the third in the original trilogy.

This is something very new for me: Threesomes! Anyone who picks this up is going to need an open mind. You'll be seeing M/M, M/F, and of course, M/M/F. In addition, there are a couple of scenes of hardcore BDSM that may turn some people off. Now, I think that those scenes are not meant to turn you on but to actually give a glimpse of how the "BDSM" title is thrown around and used maybe a bit to liberally and applied to people or scenes that do not deserve that title. But how about we finish up with the explanations and get to the story!

Let's start with Seth. Wow, he is so hot and complicated! He's one of the owners of the leather club, "The Den" (along with Jake and Deklan from Books 1 & 2) but Seth isn't really into pain or any of the wilder things that the club offers. He's pretty much just into the Dom/sub scene and he's really not into the "scene" since he's kind of a one partner kind of guy. Seth is bi-sexual and it may seem unbelievable but damn, that is SO hot! It felt to me like Seth was usually the strong, silent type but in this book, he's a raging inferno. He sees someone taking a scene too far but because of the rules of the club and of BDSM in general, he can't step in until a rule is broken or until someone says a safeword. That's something that really amped up Seth's hotness for me: he knows the rules and he wants to throw the rules to the side and step in but he's so damn controlled that he just waits. And you can see how he's about to boil over and just lose it but he has such iron control over himself that he's able to wait! I know that this control goes hand in hand with a Dom but it never fails to impress me. Seth is also a closed book. He hides so much of himself and not many people, not even his business partners, know about his upbringing. I think that's what makes Seth so awesome and heartbreaking - you can see hi internal struggle to keep it all together.

Next is Tyler. Tyler is such a tragic character. He's the one that has a scene go badly but he doesn't seem to care. He thinks of himself as a whore, a worthless whore. He's a male escort so he feels like he lives up to that moniker every time he gets hired. It was really tough to read the things that were going through his head because he's obviously a decent person who has had to live through some really shitty circumstances. Tyler has this tough, street kid exterior (he DID live on the streets for a while) and it hides his secret pain and his desires. After a time in Seth's care, I started to see the cracks in Tyler's tough exterior and its so wonderful to see it happen. It also solidifies Seth's awesomeness in my head as well! LOL! I never thought I would be too interested in reading a M/M romance or whatever you want to call this. I think romance is a good word since its definitely not just sex. But Seth and Tyler made it feel so normal and natural and it was no big deal. It didn't seem unusual at all and I think that's a real testament to what a gift this author has. I dare you to not root for Tyler as you get to know his character more and more!

Last is Allie. She's another one that has this tough exterior but also has a lot going on underneath that exterior. She's this go-getter, up and coming lawyer who has very little time for anyone or anything outside of her career. She gets called in to represent Tyler in case he wants to press charges against the Dom that took his scene too far. I loved how sweet and gentle Allie was with Tyler. I have no idea how she knew what would work to get through to him but she does. As sweet as she is with Tyler, it was SO much fun to see her butt heads with Seth. Man, she wasn't going to give him an inch!! One thing that I didn't love so much about Allie is how she sort of him-haws about starting this thing with Seth and Tyler. I absolutely get her confusion but I didn't really like her tendency to run away. And she runs away a couple of times. After the first time, it got old immediately. Sure, it also made sense for the arc of her character but it was not a lot of fun to read. Then again, I could just be a dirty, filthy girl that wanted to get down to business, if you know what I mean...? ;) Anyways, once Allie wraps her head around what she's getting herself into and gets herself into a good space to accept it, she became a lot more interesting.

Obviously, as a threesome, Seth, Tyler and Allie were amazing. What surprised me was how hot Seth and Tyler were together. I mean, I just don't swing that way but their chemistry was phenomenal and has put this book on my "To Be Read Again and Again" list! I could read about them all day. Wait a second, I DID read about them all day! Anyways, so the three of them together are so perfect and they are so good for each other that you REALLY want to strangle them when they don't see that and when they don't see how they NEED each other!

I would highly recommend this book but only if you've read a few other super steamy romances. I don't think that this is a book for someone who has a read one of the popular BDSM books and feels like they're well versed in this lifestyle. Although as a threesome, Seth, Tyler and Allie are not really deep into the BDSM scene, there ARE advanced BDSM issues/themes and a fairly complicated love triangle. Now, I'm not saying that I know BDSM and that I'm some kind of expert. I'm just trying to reiterate that anyone wanting to tackle this book should have an open mind. But I promise you, if you can handle this level of intense romance, you'll be richly rewarded with an unconventional love story that may change the way you look at conventional relationships!

My thoughts and feelings while reading:

0.0% Never read a menage book before, so we'll see how this goes ...

12.0% He tightened his grip on the armrests, flashes of the past merging with the present to showcase his failures. I wonder what happened in Seth's past??

14.0% "Is one of you going home with him?” “Yes.” The unison answer blended in the room in an odd harmony. I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress with these three!

21.0% Okay, I was a bit worried before. Wasn't really into it, intrigued but not enough to carry on reading for hours on end. Kept stopping every chapter to do something which I never do. However this chapter has me captured abit more. The interaction between the three is really good so I'm looking forward to more of it! :) hoping it gets even more better, which I'm sure it will do :)

32.0% “Let go.” Just give in Allie, you have no chance if resisting both of them! :) <3

34.0% she stared down the hallway, half willing Seth’s door to open, for her men to come after her. But that was as stupid as thinking of them as her men. I've never read a ménage before, but I'm really enjoying this! That scene in the kitchen was hot so I can't wait to see what else is in store!!! <3

36.0% These three all have there own insecurities - I hope they break each other's walls down soon! <3

41.0% Even more so—that he wanted to hold Tyler after. That was the part he couldn’t really understand, so he didn’t try. For once, he simply took and enjoyed. I love these boys!!! <3 <3

48.0% Allie seemed to give something to Tyler that Seth couldn’t, and he wanted Tyler to have that. The man needed to know that he was more than his occupation. That there were people in the world who wanted him for who he was. And Allie stirred something in Seth that he wanted to claim just as much as Tyler. I'm really starting to see how these three work :)

49.0% And there was so much they were all going to do together. Whether Allie admitted it to herself or not, she needed this. They all did for one reason or another. <3 they all really do n I can't wait to see how they progress :) <3

55.0% As soon as Allie was freed, both of them turned to Seth expectantly. Fucking perfect. Yh I'm loving these three!!!! <3 <3

56.0% This was something he wasn’t letting go of without a fight. He’d finally found peace, and no one was taking it from him. I wonder what happened to Seth's parents??? But I'm glad he's finally happy!!

61.0% You’re right. It was,” she said around another round of snickers that mingled with Seth’s low chuckle. Impulsively, Tyler plastered a kiss on both of them. He leaned back, his cheeks hurting from the force of his smile. “Let’s do that again. Soon.” “Hey.” Allie shoved his shoulder. “Next time I get to watch.” Totally love the interaction between these three!! <3

63.0% Yeah, they were his, and damn, but he hope like hell that he was theirs. Maybe then they would stay. <3 <3 love the relationship between these 3 - no ones the odd one out and they all fit so well!

67.0% None of them would ever force the other to stay. They’d proven that with her. But she also knew she couldn’t stay if one of them left. They were a unit now, one that required all three of them to function. God I love these three soo much! I hate that I have sooo much to do that I have to keep stopping :/

69.0% It’s so good,” Tyler growled. Seth clutched Tyler’s hand and tilted Allie’s chin up until she looked at him. “Right.” It was beyond right in every way. I'm getting that - these three are meant to be together no matter how strange it may seem!

75.0% None of this was ever a game. Someone always loses when you play games, and I don’t want to lose either of you.” He looked at her then, but his emotions remained hidden. “Maybe we all need the space to figure out what we really want.” I hope so Seth!! It's unconventional and people may not understand but you were meant to be together! All three of you! <3

92.0% he warm press of lips on his nape was a blazing brand that seared his heart. God. He clutched Allie closer and prayed for the first time in his adult life. Please. Just please. I'm praying with you Tyler! <3

They’d come back to him. For him. Yes they did Seth! You never fucked it up, you all just needed to realize that you need this! You need each other, you were born for each other! <3

93.0% It was almost too much, just that. His two willing submissives. But it was more than that. It was his two willing lovers. That was the difference. <3

94.0% He would never master either of these two and he didn’t want to. They might submit to him during sex or, in Tyler’s case, even need the small signs of dominance to remind him that someone was there. But he wasn’t their Master. He was their lover. That was perfect. I didn't think I could love these three more. How wrong was I?!?

100.0% Amazing, i was worried about this book and how a ménage would work, but it just did - I can't imagine anything else. It just wouldnt be right! it was a slow start but once I got into it I couldn't put it down!! 5 stars!

In this menage romance, we have the story of Seth, Allie and Tyler. Seth is the co-owner of a high end BDSM club. He's seen everything and then some. But when he finds what's supposed to be a consensual scene turning into abuse, he is swift to stop the play and rescue Tyler, promising to take care of him and offering to let him stay in his loft above the club while he recovers. He brings in Allie, a friend of his co-worker Jake's girlfriend Cali to see to Tyler's legal needs. But when the three of them are together, a new dynamic unfolds and Tyler agrees to stay the week with Seth on the condition that Allie will join them. Shocked but tempted, Allie agrees and a week of the hottest sex of her life with these two men ensues. But when Tyler is healed and is ready to walk away, will the bonds they've formed keep them together for the long haul?

Once again the author has created a fascinating view into the dynamics of a BDSM relationship, this one involving a Dom, a switch and a sub. Though it begins in a club, the fundamental story lies in the relationship that develops in Seth's loft. Three very different characters emerge. Seth is a dominant man, looking for a relationship with the right partner, be they a man or a woman. He's been attracted to both Tyler and Allie since he first saw them at his club, Tyler as a male escort to whomever brings him there and Allie on her first and only eye-opening visit to the lifestyle her friends are living. The opportunity to have them both is too good to dismiss. Tyler is a male escort, used to having sex for money and never imagining a man would be interested in him for more than that. The care and affection Seth treats him with softens his heart and make him eagerly respond to Seth as a submissive. Allie is conflicted, tempted by the two men who obviously want her in their bed, fascinated by the dynamic between Seth and Tyler and the fact that they still want a woman and that she is the one. They are both dominant towards her and this thrills her, excites her and lets her put her conservative past behind her as they explore each other. None of them are into pain, and the sex scenes between them are emotional, steamy and caring. Having the story told in three points of view exposes their feelings and inner thoughts and conflicts to the reader.

From the first page, this story moves at a swift pace, enveloping the reader in a steamy and emotional relationship between three unique and engaging characters. 5 stars!

Did not finish. Too much description and ponderings. I did not understand things. Not enough happening.

I stopped at 38%. I felt like nothing was happening. Following is a conversation that was spread out over ten pages. My use of the word “descriptions” is descriptions, thoughts, and ponderings of the two men having the following conversation. In each case an entire page or more goes by before the other guy answers.

Page 1: Is Allie coming back?
(descriptions for a page)
Page 2: Would you like that? Yes.
(descriptions)
Page 3: Me too.
(descriptions)
Page 4: Yeah? Yeah.
(descriptions)
Page 5: And do you want this?
(descriptions for two pages)
Page 7: Yes sir.
(descriptions)
Page 8: Damn.
(descriptions)
Page 9: Look at me. You’re sure?
(descriptions)
Page 10: Yes sir.

Tyler is a male prostitute with a low self image. Seth and Allie are being kind to him and caring for him after he is seriously injured by a cruel Dom. Tyler doesn’t believe they care. Allie packs a suitcase planning to stay at Seth’s for a week to take care of Tyler. She has not had sex with Seth before, and she just met Tyler. Why is she taking a week’s vacation from work to be around Tyler as he heals? The two guys want a threesome with Allie. She desires them but leaves to avoid it. Those were my thoughts as I stopped reading.

Doppia Recensione

4 three-way lovin’ stars

We’ve met Allison over the course of the last few books. She’s a little conservative and although she has judged her friends for their private lives, she doesn’t quite understand it.

Seth is the one third owner of The Den, the exclusive BDSM club. He has known Deklan and Jake since they were kids, but we haven’t known much about him other than him not being in the exact same boat as the others when it came to his start to life and being the one behind the desk with a bit more of the business side to deal with.

All of this is about to change when he witnesses a Dom going too far. Stepping in to stop a scene is not something they do lightly. They understand that not everyone’s kink is the same, but when the point of the act stops being consensual, they rush in to save Tyler from the hands of an out of control Dom.

Seth has taken notice of Tyler from his previous visits. He sees that there is something far more dominant in this submissive and now that he has his broken body in his arms, there is a growing need that he can’t turn away from. The club can only do so much to punish the man responsible, so brining Allison in to represent Tyler was their only way to ensure that the man pays fully for his actions. But as Seth, Tyler and Allison spend more time together there is a sudden charge in the air surrounding them.

Allison has only been to the club one time, the scene she watched with a woman and two men was certainly something that turned her on, but it is so beyond her understanding and what is considered normal that she just can’t seem to give in to her desires when the two men make their move.

Realizing that she could regret saying no, has Allison returning to Seth’s loft to take what she desires. Two men that want her as badly as they want each other.

For Seth, he feels content with the two people sharing his bed. They complete him in a way that he’s never felt before, but he has one helluva fight on his hands to convince both of them that they can make this work beyond the few days they spend locked away from society.

Tyler’s life as a whore is all he’s really known. Unable to understand what would make these to want him, forces him to run when his pride and self-loathing gets in the way. But what made this relationship work was the three of them, when one walks away the others will crumble.

I had been looking forward to Allie’s story after the last two books displayed her as being a little uptight. You knew that there was some desire hidden beneath her prim exterior from her reaction to the guest night at The Den, but I had no idea her first trip down the yellow brick road of sexual freedom was going to be at the hands of two men.

I absolutely loved Seth in this one, he’s been a bit of a strong and silent type throughout the book and not much of his kink had been revealed. The way he was able to steady Tyler with such simple actions was breathtaking at times. I loved the dynamic of how these three worked together. Seth as the main dominant, Tyler – his submissive but yet able to get Allie to release control in a way that was more soothing than Seth had been able to gain. These three just worked.

There was something very emotional about the vulnerability displayed by Tyler. I found myself having to fight back the tears through a few scenes of Seth and Tyler as Seth fought to gain his trust and get past the barriers that he put up.

Jake & Cali’s story is probably still my favorite out of the three so far, but this one is a close second. A very well done M/M/F erotic romance that captivated so much more of a relationship bond than just hot three-way sex.

Bonds of Desire is the third book in Lynda Aicher's Wicked Play series and I have to say it was also my favourite. We have already met both Allie and Seth in previous books, not only are they friends with the previous main characters but Seth is also the third owner of The Den.

Allie has been secretly fantasising about submitting to Seth since she first visited The Den with Kendra and Cali but she has no intention of taking it any further. She is just too focused on her career to take time out for a relationship right now. But when Tyler is injured in the club Seth asks her to step in and help protect Tyler's legal rights and after seeing what happened to him she is unable to refuse. Tyler is wary of being around another Dom but he badly needs a place to stay while he recuperates and agrees to move in with Seth temporarily but only if Allie will stay with them too. All of them are attracted to each other but all have very good reasons to avoid getting involved, especially in something as complicated as a threesome. As their attraction grows Seth helps to show both Allie and Tyler how good life can be with a real Dom but can they find a way to make their relationship work on a more permanent basis?

I have enjoyed Lynda Aicher's realistic portrayals of the BDSM lifestyle throughout the series but I think this book is the one I've had the strongest emotional reaction to. My heart broke for Tyler and the situation he found himself in, as a male prostitute he had incredibly low self esteem and had never really had anyone who cared about him before. He was abused horrifically by a "Dom" who should have known better, the assault and the consequences aren't sugar coated and were at times painful to read about but I was pleased that it was shown how abhorrent the attacker's behaviour was, there is no attempt to make this seem like normal BDSM because of course it isn't. The other Doms from the club stepped in and did what they could to stop things but if I'm honest I wanted them to step in sooner, I understand why they couldn't but that doesn't make me feel any happier about it.

I think what I liked most about Seth was how much he genuinely cared for both Tyler and Allie. He was horrified that Tyler had been so badly injured and wanted to help him press charges against his abuser, not because he was worried about the club's reputation but because he was so disgusted by the other man's actions. You do have to suspend belief a little to accept that Tyler would be ready to even attempt a sexual relationship with Allie and Seth quite as quickly as he does but I can forgive that in fiction, especially when they were all so well suited to each other. They all bring different personality traits to the relationship and I honestly felt they were stronger as a threesome than they were as individuals or split into any form of couple. I believed in the connection between them and lets face it Allie is one lucky lady because Seth and Tyler were both incredibly hot!

I've already said that Bonds of Desire was my favourite book in the series, it works well as a stand alone story but I've enjoyed both previous books too so would happily recommend any of them. This is a great introduction series for anyone who is new to BDSM, it offers a realistic portrayal of the lifestyle without being too full on just for impact and I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

An abused male-escort having no desire to be dominated again, a strong lawyer who hates falling in the trap of the stereotyped weak-woman role and a Dom who craves not one, but two loving subs…

I admit, it has been written and re-written many times. Sometimes there were all male and sometimes there we two males and a female. Mostly the m/f/m thing didn’t work well and the woman came across as plain stupid while the men were the most clichéd stereotypes ever. Not in this book though.

In Bonds of Desire we witness the most incredible dynamics. Seth, Allie and Tyler are an amazing trio that enchanted and held me captive for the duration of the read. They were wonderful together in all form they took. The male/male scenes and the male/female ones were simply gorgeous and sexy, and sensual, and plain hot. The Dom/sub dynamics were fantastic, loved them and felt quite attracted with this type of kink, and the Dom/Switch/sub dynamic was freaking awesome. This type of kink that applied mostly into mind/orgasm control and all that in a sweet and sensual kind of way is my absolute favorite. The lack of degradation and humiliation was a big, big plus for me. I mean I love ménage, but this was freakily hot. The chemistry, the appeal, the attraction and the eroticism between the three characters were something I haven’t quite enjoyed reading in a while.

My main issue though and the reason I’m not rating this higher was the fact that the character’s life and development felt a bit lacking. I wanted to read more of them, get more attached with them as individuals. Seth was such a charming character that his entire past felt left behind while he deserved the time and space and our dotting. So was Tyler and as for Allie, I feel as if I don’t know her at all. Beside their relationship and a few hazy intel on their past to justify and give reason to events, there is much of a background for the three of them.

There was also the lack of development when it comes to the villain of the story. He exists only to provide the reason for the three of them to meet and be on the same space at the same time. Period. And what a shame that was.

Add to all the above the fact that there were too many typographic errors, so many that made me reel at some point, and I got a bit frustrated and bothered, because the feeling that a very good book got a bit ruined from lack of care didn’t sit well.

However, as I said, I quite enjoyed the book and had a bit of fun reading it. If you care to overlook the above issues and are also fans of ménage and Dmos/sub relations you might want to take a look into this one.

I have been waiting quite awhile for Allie's book. In the last two she has been the supportive friend but also carried an air of judgement as well.

With Seth and his dominate ways, you know that there was a story there I just wasn't sure what it was so it was so great to see that Allie and Seth had a pull to one another but it never felt complete until....

Tyler who has a dark past but has a big heart and ends up being the missing link for Allie and Seth.

Allie wasn't so sure about the idea of two men coming from a strict upbringing and belonging to a world that has certain expectations to what is normal.

"I don't get it. I'm obviously way out of my element here. I don't know what to think, let alone how to fight."

But what is normal and who defines it?

"Don't fight. It doesn't help. Don't give up, but don't fight."

It is a internal battle for all three but the pull is too hard to ignore.

"That it turns me on when I watch you kiss. That it shouldn't, but does. That I don't want to be on the outside of you two, but I can't stay away."

With this trio there is something that just works. The intimacy is potent and beautiful and it is written in a way that it only felt right that they were all together.

"Have faith in the three of us. No one is here to hurt the other."

"...And it's hard to go against that expected image of right and wrong. But at some point, you have to decide if pleasing society is worth your happiness."

4 stars

Seth Matthews, Master Seth as he's known at The Den, thinks the day is just like any other. That is until he sees something that disturbs him on the monitors. A man who Seth already views as a poor excuse for a Dom, is with a sub in a private room, but what catches his eye is the treatment of the man chained to the St. Andrew's cross. Master Rex has taken things too far, causing him to intervene. What he comes across is something that he wishes he'd stopped earlier, and will change his life forever.
Tyler knows the game, he knows the score. Being paid for the use of his body, he often finds himself in situations he doesn't enjoy but bills need paid. Visiting The Den and being employed by the dirty politician leaves him severely injured and under the care of Master Seth, a man that he is instantly attracted to, and a lawyer Allison English, who his body can't help reacting to.
Allison has been to the club before, swearing she'll never go back regardless of her attraction to owner Master Seth. That is until she gets a call from a friend saying they need her help. She knows Tyler should press charges for what he's been through, but she finds herself dealing with not one but two of the most stubborn yet utterly gorgeous men she's ever met. What happens when the wounds start to heal but the attraction is still there?
Master Seth has had both of these lovely submissives in his home, and he plans to keep them there. One week. They will give him their submission, but Master Seth plans to take so much more...
This is my kind of story, absolutely delicious. The chemistry between Seth and Tyler was burning up the pages. Allie was my least favorite in this ménage but she brought her own positives to the story. The emotions are high, the wounds deep, and the sex on fire. Have I mentioned I loved it? This was more about the emotional aspects of a D/s relationship vs. the physical kink. It's a nice reminder that you need both, and too many books get caught up in toys and accessories. Nice emotional read.
Part of a series but can be read as a stand alone.

Playfully sensual, dark and sometimes hard, Linda Aicher's erotic stories are always exciting.

In this third part, which can be read independently of the first two, the reader finally follows the adventures of Allie and Seth. Except that the owner of the exclusive club is bi. Suddenly, a new player appeared in the person of Tyler.

An awesomely hot threesome!
If Allie brings freshness and curiosity about the novelty in her sexuality, Tyler has lost his innocence. Having been abused with a difficult past, he is often on edge.
I liked his enthusiasm, his anger and acts of rebellion. He brings fire and enthusiasm to the trio.

On the other hand, I was a little disappointed by Seth. More like a spectator and introverted than I had imagined, he is often in the background. Even if he is the mastermind of this trio, he is too shy for a Dom. Certainly, he is no lacking of imagination in the way he concocted the scenes with his two other partners, but I found him too discret.
Nevertheless, I enjoyed this volume very much because of its differences.

I love this serie. The stories are always different with drama to spice up and accompany the sensual and sexual scenes.
Certainly there are a sexy look worn on the BDSM and unconventional relationships, but also a warning. This is not a game. Respect the other must always be a priority to make people happy.
As the reader, you must learn to keep an open mind to appreciate the words of this great storyteller of erotic stories.

A lot more intense than I thought it would be, and a lot less BDSM. Honestly, this book is a tough cookie. This story is so much more than...everything. So much more than erotica, so much more than menage, so much more than BDSM, so much more than romance. Just so much more.

I haven't read the other books in the series, and honestly, after reading this one I don't know if I want to. I loved this one so much I'm afraid the others will be too much of a letdown. I fell completely in love with Tyler and Seth, and I quickly warmed up to Allison. They all just had this incredible chemistry that made the pages sizzle. Yes, they also had erotic chemistry, but that's not what I'm talking about.

What makes this one stand out from other Erotic Menage books is that the author is showing us instead of telling us. She lets us climb into the characters' heads and shares them with us in the most intimate way - and no, not in the erotic sense, get your mind out of the gutter. These characters climbed under my skin and they stayed there, weeks after I finished reading this book. This is one I won't be able to forget that easily, no matter how many books I read.

This is the third book in the Wicked Play series. Seth Matthews is one of three owners of The Den. When one of guest Tyler is injured in a scene Seth puts a stop to it. Tyler is a male prostitute working to pay off a debt that his abusive father left when he died loan sharks Tyler is so messed up and broken know one has ever did anything for him without wanting something in return. Seth sets out to care of Tyler in doing so, he asks Allison English to come represent Tyler and protect him. Allison is strung to tight and needs to learn to let loose. I really didn't like Allie she was too stuck up for me. Seth can't help but issue a challenge to her. One that ends up putting Tyler, Seth and Allison on course that will change their lives forever. Each one of them have their own issues Seth grow up with a rich crazy mother who spent time in foster care when his mother was in and out of the mental hospital. Allie who grow up in a strict religious household where her mother catered to her father and who wanted her to be a housewife instead of having a career as a lawyer. Although we really didn't learn a lot about his past what we did learn was that his father was verbally abusive. This was a well written story (read) as I listened to this one on audio. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

First of all I would like to say I have not read the first 2 books in this series but I will be and soon. Not because it is necessary this can easily be read as a stands alone but I really want to know how the other 2 couples got together. This is an emotional and beautiful story of 3 people learning to trust I love that they are all battling their own demons. When it all blew up I was in tears and felt like shouting at them all but the journey was so worth it and when book 4 comes out I will be first in the queue to buy it!

I really enjoyed Bonds of Desire as a light, fun, and very sexy read. I hadn't read books 1 or 2 in the series, and this one stood alone just fine. The M/M/F scenes had great chemistry, and I really liked the dynamic of Dom/switch/sub.

That being said, I also have to say that the number of typos in this book was shocking, and I expect better from a Harlequin imprint. And this has been mentioned in enough reviews that I'm surprised the publisher hasn't fixed it.

I love this author and this series. Seth has been a mysterious character in the first two books of this series so I was really looking forward to his story and I was not disappointed. Three people thrown together who are better together than alone. I love how in the end everyone realized on their own what they truly needed and who they needed. Bring on book 4!

Seth seethes as he watches a man being abused in one of his clubs rooms. He wants to stop it but his business partner Deklan tells him to wait that the sub hasn't said no or used a safe word yet. When he does they race to save the poor man before he is even more seriously injured.

As Seth takes Tyler down from his bonds and wraps him in warmth and whispers kindness too him Tyler feels himself slipping. If there is one man he wished to never see him like this it would have been Seth. As an attorney and friend of Cali and Kendra Allison is called in to represent Tyler to help him in case he wants to press charges against the man who abused him. But Tyler ashamed and embarrassed refuses but feels a pull of warmth and attraction toward Allie.

Allison confused by her feelings for both Seth and Tyler doesn't understand how they can want each other and her. It goes against all of her upbringing. How can she be in a relationship with two men? It couldn't possibly work.

As each person struggles with their own demons they must learn to trust each other or things will fall apart. Without all of them the relationship doesn't work. They balance each other out. Its beautiful, sexy and romantic as hell. Another well done book in this series.

This is the third book in the “Wicked Play” series and I think it is my favourite. While “Bonds of Need” and “Bonds of Trust” dealt with one-on-one relationships, be it in a BDSM environment, this book centres on a threesome.

Master Seth, one of the three Doms owning and running The Den BDSM club, and Allison (Allie) English haven’t seen each other since Allie made her one and only visit to the club a few months ago. Unbeknownst to them, they haven’t been able to get each other out of their minds.

Tyler Wysong is a new character. As a male prostitute working through an agency he finds himself submitting to a powerful and abusive Dom in one of the private rooms of The Den. When the Dom goes too far in his abuse, the owners of the club intervene and stop the scene. Their action comes too late though to prevent Tyler from being seriously injured.

Allie is called into the club by the three Doms for Tyler’s sake. If he wants to press charges, they want to make sure he has the best possible representation.

As soon as Seth, Tyler and Allie find themselves together it becomes clear that there is a strong chemistry between the three of them. But with Tyler being injured and very stand-offish and Allie having all sorts of doubts and misconceptions about the BDSM scene, Seth’s plan to introduce the other two to the pleasures of submission appear doomed from the start.

“The pull to Tyler was just as strong as the one to Allie – and just as wrong.” (Seth)

A week together under Seth’s gentle yet dominating guidance awakens strong and unexpected feelings in all three of them. Despite his resistance to Seth’s attentions and his doubts about why he is actually in the Dom’s loft, Tyler can’t deny that Seth’s presence has a profound effect on him:

“Just one touch, right there, and all of the tension dripped from him, leaving behind nothing but calm compliance.”

Tyler may have been renting himself out as a sub, he has never, ever truly submitted to anyone. And now, in his vulnerable position, he finds himself wondering:

“What would it be like to truly, honestly, surrender and trust this man before him?”

And Allie has a lot to come to terms with as well. She can’t deny her attraction to Seth and Tyler, in fact:

“Whether Allie admitted it to herself or not, she needed this. They all did for one reason or another.”

And she has to admit that submitting to her partners is not something that stems from her being weak or Seth and Tyler taking advantage of her.

“She wasn’t bound, she was freed. And with a long, slow exhale, she let go.”

Allie, like many a new submissive before her, has to learn that submitting isn’t about giving up your power to someone else. As Seth explains to her so very eloquently:

“It takes more courage to willingly give yourself to a Dom than it does for the Dom to tie you down…I can only have what you give me. In that way, you control me.”

But it is not just Allie and Tyler who have to come to terms with their new feelings. Seth may be an experienced Dom, the feelings he has for his two guests and the hopes these raise within him for the future are new and confusing:

“Seth bit back a groan. They were so close and damn, but he wanted this threesome to work. He wasn’t sure why or how it would succeed of if he wanted two subs, but he wouldn’t let this slip away. Allie seemed to give something to Tyler that Seth couldn’t and he wanted Tyler to have that. The man needed to know that he was more than his occupation. That there were people in the world who wanted him for who he was. And Allie stirred something in Seth he wanted to claim just as much as Tyler.”

Their one week together is magical for all three of them. But after that week the real world awaits them again. A secret act of kindness from Seth manages to upset Tyler so much that he breaks all contact with the Dom and Allie. And Allie and Seth don’t have a future if it doesn’t include Tyler as well. It will take a near disaster to bring the three together again and give them another opportunity to embrace the unconventional but oh so tempting relationship.

“Yeah, she really could have them both. The future would sort itself out and it’d be okay, because not trying, not seeing, would be worse.” (Allie)

There was a lot I loved in this book. First and foremost I really like Lynda Aicher’s writing and characters. The story runs smoothly and has the perfect balance between general story and (very) sexy scenes. These characters are real and completely normal people and it is easy to identify with them, even if you may not be able to imagine yourself in a similar situation.

I also liked that this book shows that there is another side to BDSM. A side that doesn’t involve pain or public displays of humiliation:

“Have faith in the three of us. No one is here to hurt the other.”

In fact, the author goes one step further. What started out as a power-exchange has turned into something completely different but equally wonderful by the time all conflicts are resolved:

“But he wasn’t their Master. He was their lover. That was perfect.”

It is wonderful to see the characters grow and change while at the same time staying true to themselves in this story. And the change is biggest for Allie with her very traditional and conservative background and career-driven life. She has to grow a lot but it is worth every struggle when she realizes that:

“More importantly, she needed them both. They gave her balance where she hadn’t known she required it.”

And I delighted in the hotness of this book. While a ménage may be a bit much for some readers, it worked very well for me. I’m impressed with the way in which Lynda Aicher managed to write a very sexy story about a three-some without ever making it feel cheap or over the top.

Although these three books take care of the three Doms who own The Den, I really hope that Lynda Aicher continues with this series. And it does appear that she has created a wonderful opportunity to do just that in the epilogue. My fingers are firmly crossed that she will continue with this very entertaining, if slightly wicked, series.

Loved the first two books in the series (highly recommend!) but this one fell very short of their promise.

Seriously? A strong, educated, professional, experienced thirty-eight year old woman submitting to male who is ten year younger, immature, a seedy sex worker and not even a trained Dom? How grotesque.

There was no reason the female couldn't have been the one in the middle of sexual power structure and every reason she should have been, especially when the sex worker male lead was acting as a submissive for his customers and it was established in the next book that she was not a submissive.

But, of course, she is the bottom rung because... sexism.

Which knocked everything involving the female lead out of whack in order to make her appear ignorant , ineffectual and inferior compared to both the male leads in order to validate them having power over her which, in turn, made her relationship with them discordant, unstable and weak.

On the up side, the male leads were engaging, their relationship-building was smooth and sweet, their romantic connection was palatable and the smut was hot. However, it was not credible that the sex worker male lead was physically and sexually abused in his job and yet had no obvious, ongoing emotional trauma. (The story should have been the dom male lead taking care of his practical needs, the female lead taking care of his legal needs and the three of them coming together when the two also step in to support and take care of him emotionally during the healing process of that trauma instead of the convoluted mess that it was. But god forbid a woman have any competency over a male in this series.)

One thing I found interesting was, despite how the younger male lead's occupation as a sex worker was heavily learned on, there was no discussion on how the professional Doms at the club are also sex workers.

Do not recommend. Both the story and 'throuple' romance were a badly done mess.

Seth liked Allie but never acted on it since the first time they met. Allie was very judgmental at first regarding his life style. A mishap at the club with a submissive being beaten by a Dom until Seth broke it up.
Her friend Kendra called her in an emergency and told her what happened. She rushes to the hospital with Seth and Tyler and assumed that Seth did the damage to Tyler. Allie also thought that Seth and Tyler were lovers which made her feelings towards Seth a nonissue. Seth takes Tyler and Allie back to his condo meanwhile Tyler is checking out Allie. Twists, turns, break ups, trust and love?

I really like this author. Her books are pretty much an auto-read for me. But this book was definitely an "eh" for me. I was very much looking forward to a good M/M/F ménage story, and what I got was waaaaay too much drama and not enough actual spice. The characters ended up being more annoying than anything. The whole book was two of the characters vacillating between whether they wanted to be in this relationship or not. Meanwhile, where was the spice? I have this great setup for some amazing boinking, and I got very little of it. Disappointed. :-(
