Oh my Holy love triangle. This book is so gripping that I was able to follow the story even though I have not read the first book.
Rebel Miller is such an intriguing author, she has build the future complete with multiple world and a caste system. This caste system has so many rules prohibiting everything from exploration to relationships.
Following along in the story where Kira is stuck in between her family bonds and two men she cares for deeply. She has to figure out how to balance the needs and betrayals of her family and figure out where her heart really lies.
This book does end in a cliffhanger but it just make your imagination go wild. I can't wait to read part three of this amazing series.

Damn you Rebel Miller....you and your insidious cliffhanger!!! I can not believe how you just left me hanging on the edge of my seat...literally.
OK, I needed a moment to reflect upon what just happened... but I'm back. Kira Metallurgist is in the center of a love triangle, a rebel uprising, and the transition from an old regime to the new. Lives are threatened, promises are broken, and sworn enemies are forced to work together to achieve a common goal. This book gives us a deeper look at Tai and Gannon - I honestly don't know how Kira is going to choose...but maybe she won't have to!
