Twelve years ago, Dax, rightful king of West Landly was forced to flee into exile. Now he has become an expert warrior for hire. However, he has tired of commanding mercenaries in a series of regional skirmishes. Commandant Renshau had just the thing, an assignment as a political advisor. Solid

Not great but good. The author smoothly transitioned the story into the second half of Dax's life - Other then the fast healing I would figure being Dragon Bound is annoying

This was a vast improvement over the simplistic writing of book one. The story moved at a good pace and other than a few minor editing errors, it was an enjoyable read
