There's a reason why werecats are so rare, their blood is sweet and delicious, particularly to vampires. It took hundreds of years to bring the shifter species to near extinction, but something is about to change that.
Grace is a hardworking single mum with a non-existent social life. Her life is perfectly boring, that is until she decides to try internet dating. If men who lie about their marital status and knock ten years off their profile age were all she had to worry about then dating wouldn't be too bad, but things get tricky when she meets the cute, if a little awkward, Matthew.
Meanwhile, back at HQ things are pretty quiet, no one knows where the Council have gone or who is now in charge of the supernatural elements. Things can only get worse because the King of the Underworld disappeared with them. All hell is about to break loose, come along for the ride?

This book was brilliant just like every other from this series. They have lost everyone in charge of the county for the "others" there was a crack of lightning and a huge rumble and then they had gone. That was weeks ago. Since then a whole new breed has been found the werecsts and they are going to help to find out what happened to the council.
It's a great new spin which adds another dimension to the series.
I love the way the story is written and how you can lose yourself in it imagining it could really happen. I can't wait for the next in the series, there's got to be another book it can't end like it does!
Another brilliant book which can be read as a stand alone, although I'd recommend reading the whole series it's one of the best I've read.
I'll read them all again in the right order once the next book comes out just to get me re acquainted with everyone again.
I'll defiantly be reading more from this author.

My favorite one yet!
Werecats, the nymphomaniacs of the shapeshifter world. Who would've guessed it?
At first, I believed this book to be separate from the previous ones in the series since brand new characters were the center of the story. Grace, an average single mother just trying to re-enter the dating world, Matt, a vampire also struggling with dating, and finally Thomas, who ends up cleaning up Matt's mess after nearly killing Grace on their second date.
Thomas is actually sent by the council to oversee Grace's transition into becoming a vampire (the only way she could be saved after Matt fed from her and accidentally let her bleed out) as Matt was seen as a poor choice to be a vampire daddy. However, Grace ends up being half werecat and the transition to vampire has brought out her inner feline so much so that it overthrows any vampirism traits in her. Along with the ability to became a large cat, it also keeps her in a constant state of ... well, horniness to be honest. This really throws off Thomas and he has no idea how to keep their relationship as Vampire Sire and child genuine when she can't seem to keep her hands off of him. It doesn't take him long to realize he actually likes the attention and eventually he realizes that he's in love with her.
Eventually, the discovery of her being a werecat reaches the ears of Saffron and the rest of the Council who have been dealing with their own supernatural drama. The cat shapeshifters are extremely rare with most believing they are even extinct, so they are pleasantly surprised to meet Grace and realize she also has the ability to turn vampires into werecats simply by scratching them or letting them feed from her. Something that's actually pretty dangerous considering the feline blood is considered beyond divine and addictive by vampires which probably helped put them on the endangered species list.
There's more to the story of course, but you'll just have to read it yourselves. I for one, could not put it down!
