Cassie Cross is a Wonderful writer. She brings such intensity and clarity to her writing. Her style of writing is refreshing. Her characters are well written and she sets the scene as you think your in the story with her characters.
Kia Richardson just graduated college and is trying to get her Graphic Design business up and running. On her way to a very important presentation her strap breaks on her computer bag but catches it before It crashes on the subway. She feels very lucky that she caught it. But that's a fleeting thought as she rounds the corner not watching where she is going and runs right into Jason Turner. Her bag goes flying and her heart plummets. She is sure she is screwed with her computer in pieces laying on the ground. Jason feels bad he broke her computer so he offers to fix it for her. They go into his building which Kai is very guarded, she is sure there's no way it can be fixed.
While they are waiting Jason offers her one night with him. He tells her he does not date so it's a take it or leave it kind of deal. Kia thinks she has nothing to loose so she agrees.
Jason and Kai are from two different worlds, however a chance is all that's needed to spark a fire between them. What starts out as a one night deal turns into more when Jason realizes he wants more with Kai. Jason has a past that makes his keep everyone he's close to at arms length. If Jason lets Kai get too close, she could get hurt. If he lets her go he will always wonder what could have been. If he can keep her safe, is it worth the risk. When Kai finally finds out the past Jason is holding onto is built on a lie, maybe Jason will finally let himself believe he can have a future with Kai.

Enjoyablr

This so far is quite an interesting story and leaves you wanting to find out more about Jason and his past. The chemistry between him and Kaia is there immediately and comes through in the writing. Unfortunately it is just a little short and you feel as though you are going to have to get through several episodes.

Very short book 1

This is the first book of the story and it is very short. I liked the story and was just getting to know the characters when young have to stop and download the next part. Part of Kindle Unlimited.

What an enticing start to a book series. You have a gorgeous man with a hidden hurtful past - what happened? One amazingly sassy bright young woman who wants him. One night only filled with passion that makes a connection with him - does it with her????? Eeekkkkk next book please

Once you start, better make sure you have all the books or the boxed set. You're gonna need it. I've enjoyed it. A LOT
