Priteni: The Decimation of the Ancient Pagan Britons
The Celtic magic and mysticism, prior to the Roman invasion of Britain, is written in a scholarly but storytelling weaving - a tapestry of history - because this story would not be true otherwise.

I chose this book to begin my research into my Celtic roots. I love the authors poetic approach to story telling and was enthralled by the way I was drawn into the story. I'm eager to learn more about the historic people of Ireland. Donegal specifically. I feel the visceral urge to adorn my hands and face with the art of the ancients. Beginning long before I first spit in a cup to explore my DNA.
This book illuminates the struggles of an indigenous culture being eviscerated by an invading enemy I'm keen to learn more about this life.
