I know I am going against the grain when I say I was very unhappy with this book. It has been endorsed by several well-known leaders and has received many 5 star reviews, with comments about its scriptural soundness.

The problem is, it is not sound. Time and again, Scripture is referenced and used to make various points. But, when one takes the time to look those verses up, in many cases they do not at all indicate or support what is being said. There are many assumptions and even presumptuous teachings being laid out here.

For instance, the author asserts that at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came to the 120 with a host of angels. The tongues of fire were taken from God's altar in heaven and administered to each of the believers by the angels, who were there to prepare and empower the saints. The Holy Spirit is portrayed as the supervisor of the angels in the Upper Room, but the angels are doing the work (Chapter 2, pages 41, 43, 44). Not only can these statements not be supported by Acts 2, but they depersonalize the active, direct work of the Holy Spirit coming upon the believers and filling them.

At another point, he tells us that each of the three archangels was a personal assistant to a particular Person of the Trinity -- Michael assisting the Father, Gabriel assisting the Holy Spirit, and Lucifer assisting the Son. (This cannot be known from Scripture.) He goes on to say that it is because Lucifer fell that it was the Son who came to earth, died for man, and thereby took back the authority He had delegated to Lucifer. He more than implies that if it had been Michael or Gabriel who had rebelled, then it would have been the Father or the Holy Spirit who would have had to make the atonement (Chapter 4, pages 64, 65). This is bizarre and disturbing, to put it mildly.

And on it goes, throughout the book. While there were some good points made about the need for the Church to awake out of slumber and do the work of the Kingdom, assisted by angels, I simply could not get past the misuse / misapplication / extrapolation of Bible passages.

For anyone who would still be interested in reading this book, I strongly suggest having your Bible in hand. Look up the referenced verses, rather than taking the author's word for what they say. We do well to be like the Beroeans of NT times, who "received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so" (Acts 17:11).

This book is phenomenal. With much study and revelation, Tim Sheets has written not only a book about angels but a book about who we are in Christ. One of the best points he brings up is, why do so many Christians expect demonic activity more than they expect angelic activity, especially considering the fact that there are more on our side, and God has already won. Angel Armies talks about who angels are, why they were created, what their role is in heaven and on earth, what they act like, what they do, etc. Plus at the end of the book, Tim writes decrees to dispatch them.

This book has some solid typical discussion on angels and the role in our world. It also has quite a bit of the authors personal beliefs and prophetic experiences, which I found to be distracting from a conversation about angels. He talk about angels in his prophetic experiences, but I think that that should be a separate discussion from learning about the biblical/historical role of angels.

If you just want to learn more about angels, it's an OK book. If you're looking for what the author thinks about the current season of spiritual life in America, then it's an OK book. Combining the two didn't make it better for me, it made it a bit of a zigzag experience.

This book has a good comprehensive study of angels from a biblical and faith filled perspective. I did find I got a bit bogged down at times as it’s quite verbose and at times categorical and I would need to stop and ponder statements. The decrees at the end are good but long. So perhaps it was me that it took me a long time to actually finish the book but it is a good reference especially if you’ve not done your own Bible study on angels.

Fellow Kingdom Servants

It is a spiritual crime that Yeshua’s Body has not been taught what scripture tells us about Angels… they are not just “heavenly fairies” but WARRIORS commissioned from God’s Throne Room to partner with Holy Spirit and us, Yeshua’s co-heirs, to construct and empower the fulfillment of God’s Decrees and Word on Earth as it is in Heaven.

We are never to worship angels or disrespect them. But we are not to ignore them either. We are to recognize them for what they are in the Kingdom: Yeshua’s Army. When we declare and claim God’s Word in agreement with Holy Spirit in our authority granted by Yeshua’s death and resurrection, angels are released and sent to “make it so.” They battle on behalf and alongside us as we exercise spirit prayer that says what God’s Word says is true. As we claim and proclaim His Promises and Declarations in the Authority Yeshua has imparted to us as His Redeemed, Holy Spirit dispatches God’s Angel Army to partner together to do what we cannot do.

The remarkable number of scriptural examples of this Truth are compelling once you read these portions of scripture with “eyes to see and ears to hear.”

It is empowering and encouraging to realize just how much the Kingdom delivers toward our success and creativity to walk in His Ways successfully.

Amazing! Eye opening! Exciting. Life changing!
Must read if you are tired of doing the same things expecting different results in your walk.

This book is amazing! It lit a fire in my life, increased my faith and showed me how to activate the Angels that have already been sent on an assignment for my life. It will strengthen your faith without a doubt, open your eyes and give you a new level of wisdom. God's Angel Army is bigger and stronger than the opposing side, so don't feed into it with negativity. Activate your angels and be blessed.
Be Inspired!

This book was sooo good! I just realized why it took me so long to pick this boom up and read through it. A lot of the things God is speaking to me about in the season as we enter a new year were all revealed in this book! Holy Spirit really knows how to guide my reading! Amazing book! Read it and study it!

Angel Armies is an excellent teaching! Dr. Sheets clearly defines the role of angels. His revelations are profound. This book is timely for the season we are in.

I recommend this book those who are looking for a deeper understanding of co-laboring with the angelic host.

I purchased a copy directly from Tim Sheets ministry. All views expressed are my honest opinion.

Though this book is primarily about angels it is so much more than that. It is a now word for this season. The information about angels is new and expanded. My only hesitance about the book is the decrees at the end of it. The author says we can’t command angels but many of the decrees seem to be an attempt to do that very thing.

I would love to read this one again, just because I feel that there is so much that could be learned from it. It is very study, biblical, and faith based. I listened to this one, and audiobooks can often leave my mind wandering, letting me get distracted. This will definitely be one that I will come back to and I recommend it to everyone!

Thorough Scriptural Analysis on Angels

The author provides a thorough Scriptural analysis for angels and their purpose in God’s Kingdom. The book includes prophetic purposes for the author and church for the end times with a call to action to be doers and not just hearers but to declare God’s Word and Kingdom purpose.

I didn't like the audio reader's voice. It felt robotic to me and made it hard to listen. I didn't have time to look up all the references. But I did find it helpful to get me in the frame of mind of understanding angels as partners in fulfilling the will of God. There are also prayers in the final chapter that I might refer to in the future.

In my Christian life I never really thought much about Angels and praising them. This book offers a good insight on what their roles are. I need to research this topic much more.

Great book

Simple, relatable as a believer, revelatory, and straight to the point. These had some indepth points that a babe in CHRIST was not used to.

Such a pain to read at times. I gave up after chapter 6. I really was just looking for a book that gives me the facts on angels.

Instead he spoke a lot about prophecies he received, the remnant church etc. All cool stuff but I wasn’t interested in that. I just wanted the book to get to the point about angels. Plain and simple.

He also mentioned that the Trinity had personal assistants: Jesus had Lucifer, the Father had Michael, and the Holy Spirit had Gabriel. He mentioned that because Lucifer sinned, that’s the reason Jesus had to die to take back the authority given to him. He insinuated that if it was Gabriel, or Michael who sinned, then it’s likely the Holy Spirit or the Father, respectively, would have to atone for our sins.

This sounds bizarre. Where’s this information coming from???

Exhausting.
