This was such a small idea at first. I started getting involved at the North End Collective, a community church around the corner from my new home, and every Sunday I sat in the back of the small sanctuary watching all the neighborhood families, wondering how they made this winter season look so normal. And, as I got to know them, I found a new sense of belonging. Though I still felt like a native Californian in the wilds of Boise, Idaho, but I was no longer a stranger.
This is exactly where these Lent meditations began. This was my way of marking the season of Lent and opening myself up to the journey that lay ahead of me.
As you read these meditations, my prayer is that you find refreshed hope and meaning in your journey as well.
