This was my introduction to Doctor Tess and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I felt like the characters were well developed and there was enough of an explanation that you didn't feel like you had to have read the previous books to understand what was going on. I didn't really understand the story behind the kidnapping, but enough of the gaps were filled in that it didn't leave me wanting to go back to the previous book to be able to understand. The story went along at a good pace - not too fast and not to slow. There were just the right amount of details to fill the story line and capture your attention. I think i will be going back and getting the other books in this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review which I have given.

This was an enjoyable read from the very first page. I haven't read the previous books, but there is enough introduction of the characters that I was able to figure out the key players. With that in mind, this can be a stand alone, but the series may be more enjoyable read in order.

I liked the main chracters, Tess and Jayson, and felt that the author developed them well. I really liked Bella and her whole attitude toward life.
The story kept my interest. There were times when I felt the author backtracked a bit to explain something, but overall it was a good read.
I look forward to reading more by this author.
