I never wanted to do anything crazy. I’m a good girl, the total opposite of my reality TV star mother.
But in Vegas, anything can happen. Even marrying a rich, handsome stranger.
He has a ripped body and the cocky attitude to match.
His name is Lucas, and he’s the dirty-talking heir to the Barone crime family.
I don’t know why he wanted to get married, but I couldn’t stop saying yes over and over again.
And it gets worse.
My crazy mother eloped with his mafia father. We’re one big happy family, right?
Lucas is so arrogant that he won’t let me go.
I’m his wife, his step bride, and I’m stuck living with this secret in his family’s heavily guarded mansion.
If his dangerous father finds out the truth about us, we’re totally screwed. With a rat in the mob and the Russians coming after everyone, we’re living on the razor’s edge.
I need to divorce him. I need to stop wanting him.
I need to get out of this situation before both our families are torn to pieces.

This is the story of Lucas Barone and Natalie Taylor and their unusual first encounter. Lucas, heir to the Barone crime family decided to go to Vegas after an intense argument with his father (Arturo) regarding his reckless lifestyle. Natalie, a naive college student on summer break and allowed her friend Pacey convince her to take a trip to Vegas before going home, where she meets Lucas at a night club. After this event all he** breaks loose and the creeps came out of the closet. This story if full of betrayal, mystery and drama which starts at the beginning of the story until the very end. Someone should've kick (Natalie's mom) Camille a** off, she was one crude, self-centered farthead, Now I will not leave any spoilers because if I had to read this amazing book to get the surprise, you should too. Overall, pick up this book, I guarantee it will be well worth your time and effort.... I would like all my followers to read this one!!!!!!!!
There wasn't anything overtly wrong with this book. It was just the fact that I found it terribly boring. The premise in the blurb was interesting and I was genuinely excited to see what this was about. But not even halfway through, I had to stop.
Both main characters just didn't do it for me. Lucas just seemed to be every other hero. Nothing about him stood out. Natalie was equally unimpressive. I also didn't buy the instant chemistry between them. Besides that, the amount of sex was overwhelming and I think, unnecessary. I understand sexual tension but all they seemed to do was have sex. Exciting sex but still just sex. There wasn't a deeper connection. And maybe if I'd made it further into the book, I'd have seen that deeper connection. But I wasn't willing to wait that long.
Furthermore, the writing wasn't great. It was borderline alright. I'd have preferred the book to contain a bit more description. The whole mobster plot line was okay but again uninteresting.
So overall, this was definitely not the book for me. Maybe one day, I'll give this novel a second go. But for now, I'm abandoning ship.
I really liked the plot idea but ugh this sucked. Also it was weird he kept calling her sis instead of wife. Like you’d think he’d focus on that part. Just weird.

I have been a fan of BB's work for some time and this baby was another notch on her awesome bookcase (yes I liked that one too !!).
This is Lucas and Natalie's story and god what a story it is !!!. Lucas has been ordered by daddy dearest that he needs a wife and he needs one yesterday !!. So where does he trot off to find one.....not mail order that's for sure but Vegas baby !!!!
Here Lucas meets Natalie a student on holiday with her bestie. A few dances, a few drinks a pair of hypnotic blue eye's boring into you and its a "I do" !!.
This then leads to the discovery that they are indeed "step siblings". Does this put off Lucas ?.....hell no !!. He is all alpha man claiming his woman.....and god I loved it !!. This book was off the charts steam !!! Absolutely fabulous !!. Thrills and gasps galore. If you love your "Step" books well written and with brilliant character development, then look no further !!
Well done BB !! and many thanks for this opportunity xx
Despite the whole unbelievable coincident of a plot. the book was actually pretty great. And the idea of not only love between step-siblings but also got married together in Vegas was pretty freaking unreal but kinda unique. I felt like the author was..."since it was already damn cliché, let's go all out and made it a coincidental BAM!" I really liked that there were more detailed of the mob activities going on and not just 70% Romance with 29% Sex and 1% other things that really important. and I liked that I saw no "she is my step sister and I had to stay away" kinda plot. No. Lucas simply marked Natalie as his wife and did whatever he wanted. Natalie was also feisty and I loved the fact that she hated Lucas as much as she attracted to him at the beginning. She was a smart girl who also knew what she wanted. It was quite a fun ride. And yeah these two liked it rough and it was HOT!! they were pretty cute and scorching together. And their chemistry was fun and refreshing. The writing was good. The flow was quite alright. The book was wholesomely good for me. I truly enjoyed it.
Lucas Barone is a member of Barone Crime Family that does whatever he wants with his life. Until he receives an ultimatum from his father to settle down and take a wife. Lucas takes a flight to Vegas to find his bride. Lucas finds his bride but she gets cold feet in the end. Natalie Taylor is used to scandal because of her mother and all her exploits. Natalie can't believe that her mother has gotten married and sold Natalie's home out from under her. Natalie should really have been surprised it's just the first time she's really been blindsided by it all. Can Natalie accept Lucas's advances? Will Natalie learn something new? Your answers await you in Step Bride.
My curiosity got the better of me reading this novel. Lucas is the alpha male that won't back down for anything. Natalie is perfectly sweet and strong woman to boot. The characters and story are compelling, complex, gritty, raw, real, and honest. I look forward to more from this series.
Natalie is in Vegas and before she knows it she is married to a beautiful, rich and cocky stranger named Lucas. Lucas, happens to be the heir to the Barone crime family and has the attitude and personally to match. When he decides that Natalie is his, nothing is going to stand in his way; not even their parents being married. I loved this mafia version of a step brother romance and I loved the passion between the two main characters. The action kept this story going and the heat kept me going. Loved it!
So h goes out for a wild night, ends up sleeping with a guy and marrying him...just being totally out of character crazy, only to find out her semi celebrity reality tv star mom just married his alpha capo mafia boss father. After all being thrown into one house together, she tries to avoid him and a game of cat and mouse ensues. Of course she still lusts after him but it's too crazy and complicated and she is too freaked by the whole mafia thing (which honestly I would be too if it wasn't for all the mafia romance books I have been reading). MC were decent but nothing really sizzled for me.
I should have read this book before Bastards baby but I had no clue and it was good. This is the story of Lucas and Natalie and as crazy as it is it was still a romance, a mafia romance.
Good book! I haven't read much about mob life-styles, so it was exciting. I'm sort of jealous. Lucas was hot! Knowing that he could easily destroy someone to bits, but was head over heels for me would be amazing! It was super steamy, but the scenes were on the repetitive side. Reading the same type of sex each time gets kind of boring. Throw in some variety! The violence was written well. It really proved that this group was truly a fearless mob! I was disappointed by the climax, though. It felt rushed and there was really nothing exciting about it. There was a lot of mystery built up on what would happen to the multiple groups of people, but then it just kind of ended. I think a lot of potential was wasted. Even though it did have it's flaws, I did enjoy it, and will plan to read more books by this author in the future!
Lucas was from the mafia. Natalie was from the other side of the tracks. She is in vega a meets Lucas they end up married but go their separate ways. come to find out her mom is married to his dad. Her mom doesn't really love him like he does she is just in it for the money. She ends up having an affair. Lucas sneaks into Natalie room and they pick up where they left off. But keep it hush hush til they can't anymore. Lucas and Natalie ends up having their happy ever after.

A quick enjoyable read - what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. Son of a mob boss randomly marries a pretty girl on a night out when he's told to 'settle down'. Going back to their independent lives they then discover they are step siblings when mob boss marries pretty girls celeb trash mama.....
It gets complicated, lost olive oil, Russians and the limo driver, but enough plot to weave the story to a HFN and left me content.
I seriously love this authors writing , from the start you basically fall in love with Lucas and Natalie story . Lucas is your typical monster and well Natalie she just gets dragged into a life she had no clue about but once she sees Lucas again after marrying him one night in Vegas . Things aren’t exactly like she was hoping but as time goes on she can’t turn her back ..
I still can't tell the difference between smut and romance. I don't mind neither but I hate to get stuck reading one type when I expect the other. I wish I could tell the difference before I get the book. Nothing against the writing of the author , but a little heads up would be nice.
I am very thankful to have gotten this from the author and to leave my own personal review, and I have to say I LOVED it 😊 Captured right from start to finish and had to read straight through as couldn't put it down, another winner from this great author, can't wait for the next book 😊
This books premise was a bit...over the top. But most NA romance are. But besides the radical plot, the book itself was actually pretty good for what it was. I hope to read more from this author.
I loved this book. The characters were well developed. Natalie and Lucas are complicated people and they had complicated issues to deal with to achieve their HEA. I recommend this book.
Step Bride:A Bad Boy Mon Romance(A Barons Crime Family
What happens in Vegas doesn't sit stay in Vegas, that's what Lucas and Natalie are about to find out,and let's throw in Mon family and being step sibling .This book was amazing.
This was an excellent read. The twist and turns had me hooked. I couldn't put the book down until the very end. It was exciting and captivating. It was a great mafia story. The ending was great.
I liked this book. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. There were however have a few things that I noticed. When Camille learned of Natilie and Lucas's marriage she didn't seem suprised. What became of Camille? Of Arturo? Did Lucas take over as Boss?
