Mikolas Tatsu isn't sure if he adores or despises Princess Krysanthe's bodyguard, Voshkie.
She's hard-headed, stubborn and crass. Basically, she's Mikolas - if Mik were a gold nymph - with really amazing breasts. She's determined to do things her way when it comes to the princess and so far, she's not been wrong.
But when their convoy is attacked by ghouls aided by an inside man, Mikolas and Voshkie must work together to ensure the group's safety which would be hard enough without the mating fever.
Voshkie has a secret that's not worth the feel of his hands, the hard circle of his arms, or the press of his lips. Only the longer she's near him, the harder it is to say no. The end of this mission might just be the end of her.
Saranna De Wylde has always been fascinated by things better left in the dark. She wrote her first story after watching The Exorcist at a slumber party. Since then, she’s published horror, romance and narrative nonfiction. Like all writers, Saranna has held a variety of jobs, from operations supervisor for an airline, to an assistant for a call girl, to a corrections officer. But like Hemingway said, “Once writing has become your major vice and greatest pleasure, only death can stop it.” So she traded in her cuffs for a full-time keyboard. She loves to hear from her readers.
Saranna writes nonfiction under the name Sara Lunsford. Her memoir about her time as a corrections officer called Sweet Hell on Fire releases Nov 1 from Sourcebooks.
Mikolas is an honourable Dragon but Voshkie, Princess Krysanthe bolshie bodyguard pushes him to the edge! He's not sure what he, or dragons in general, have done to upset her but she is one prickly dame. She is blunt, opinionated and downright antagonistic. He gets that not everyone deals with her on an even footing cos she's a woman but that's not the Drago Knights way.
Voshkie has been hiding a big old scaly secret from everyone, even her best friend. Mik is getting past her defences and she is not comfortable at all with that. Dragons can't be trusted as far as she is concerned. Well...ok Krys' guy is ok and the rest of the Knights but she is definitely not ready to lay her heart on the line for one of them.
But when she is inexplicably hit with mating fever Mik may be her only choice. They were decoying for Krys but with this new wrinkle in their plan what will take precedence , the mission of the fever? Narky Gold nymphs, galant dragons and evil hordes, all make a wonderful story. Voshkie is ruthlessly in control of everything except her pesky heart. Superb characters and witty dialogue. Can't wait for the next one.
Mikolas is the second book by Saranna DeWylde and is part of the multi-author Mating Fever Collection.
This seemed to be a super short novella. Nonetheless, the story was interesting. Voshkie, bodyguard to Princess Krysanthe, seems to be the bane of Mikolas’ existence. Little does he know she has a deep guarded secret, which is a deal breaker. Only the longer she is with Mikolas, the more she wants him, but is it just the mating fever or something more?
Bewarned…Mikolas has a cliffhanger. And as a side note, not having read the first novella, I felt slightly lost. I received an ARC of Mikolas for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Mating Fever series by Saranna deWylde and in my opinion is not a stand-alone novella. I have fallen in love with Voshkie. She’s a formidable gold nymph charged with the protection of Princess Krysanthe who hates Dragons for a good reason. Mikolas may just be able to get under her skin and discover what’s she’s been hiding all along. But will they be able to get past the secrets and move forward into the future when her mating fever hits? I cannot wait for the next installment of this series as this book ended with quite the cliffhanger.
This is the second in the Drago Knights series. Hot Dragons return with an even stronger female lead. I love the give and take of the characters, their devotion to their people and how they fit that in with their attraction that shouldn't be happening. The character of the players in this book are come through so strongly and really draw you in. There are no stronger than another personalities, they are all so vibrant and strong. I really enjoyed the whole story as much if not more than the first in the series.
Voshkie has a big secret. One that could make or break her.
Mikolas knows that Voshkie is his mate, but after finding out her secret he knows he can't have her.
Everyone is in a race against time to save Ondrej, if they can. Mikolas has an idea of how to save Ondrej and free Voshkie of the mating at the same time. Now he just has to get her to agree to it.
Received this book for an honest review from the author.
Loved the story but have to be honest it left me wanting to know more. If I had to choose book two was the better story but there is a cliffhanger in my honest opinion for the ending. Voshkie and Mik story of two people that are true warriors that care and protect the two most important people in their lives but don't hope to have that special someone in their own lives because of that dedication.
Oh to have a woman just like him is either a curse or great pride and Mikolas has to decide which it is when he and Voshkie are chosen for a job. But can Voshkie hide her secret for long?
I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This is from the series Drago Knights MC Mating Fever by the author.
