Another awesome one; I have yet to be disappointed in any of the novels by Ms Copella! Again, intrigue, a heroine of immense strength, battles, realistic Gore, and last but not least, TERRIFIC HUMOR! ALL of these things wrapped up in another novel I will be sharing! And, Ms. Copella, I may not have reviewed all your books I have read, however, not once have I been disappointed, " The Town Darling", still number One! Keep writing such entertaining novels! Karen
For the most part I really enjoyed reading this book. There are a few parts of it that disturbed me (parts that bordered on what my thoughts of rape are) but they were somewhat reconciled in the end. There is some mystery, some romance, some intrigue and some fun woven throughout the book. It was worth the read.
I received this book free from Goodreads First Reads.
I'm not a big fan of romance novels, I always try something nonstandard of a "confused woman that don't know what she want of her life, torn between two men", it gets on my nerves and seems to be quite common nowadays. I finally found a decent romance that gave me a nice reading.
Indy is a strong girl that since the beginning knows what she wants and who she wants. The romance develops gradually and consistently while everything around seems to fall apart with the current state of Harlan, a fallen war hero in coma. She is a determined woman that fights until the end for the man she loves, and the fact that this is a military story, comes with good moments of action, betrayal, traps and suspense.
Again, Holly did an excellent job and offered us a romance that is worth reading. Thank you, Holly!
