About the Book
The Name of God Is Mercy is Pope Francis' first book written during his time as Pope. Its release coincided with Pope Francis' Holy Year of Mercy, set to run from December 8, 2015 through November 20, 2016. A New York Times Bestseller, the book explores the meaning of mercy, which Pope Francis describes as God's most fundamental attribute. Yet, the book is more about life than about doctrine. Francis reaches out through the book to people everywhere and in all circumstances to deliver his kind message of mercy and hope.
