Świetna książka na temat typografii. Autorzy poruszają podstawowe zagadnienia związane z językiem, historią, formą i strukturą pisma. Polecam każdemu kto interesuje się typografią :). Mniej o jedną gwiazdkę, bo (przynajmniej w polskim wydaniu) wkradły się małe niedopatrzenia typograficzne (np. w glosariuszu podając przykład cyfr nautycznych posłużono się cyframi zwykłymi).

of all the typography books i've read lately, this was the most boring visually, but in terms of information was excellent. it really is a complete course on words and type. recommended if you want to learn something about typography and don't mind not having too many pretty pictures.

Everything you could ever want to know about type and typography. I was able to pull some stuff out that was applicable to me, but there was massive amounts of information that I skimmed right through (for example whole sections on text spacing and page proportions through grids and the various different kinds of grids you could use and why...etc)

Another staple textbook- suitably informative to starters and newcomers, it is as enthusiastically thorough and pleasantly readable as the rest of Baines' books.

theoretical and technical. little to do with aesthetic so less fun reading but that was expected.
