Happiness: How to Find Happiness Again if You Have a Mentally Ill Adult Child

Rate this book
If you have a mentally ill adult child, you have some special challenges in life. Many parents take care of the whole life of their adult childs, neglecting their own health and happiness. Mothers and fathers feel helpless, overwhelmed and sad because their child isn't able to live the life they imagined. Often out of his or her feeling of guilt, the child hurts the parents deeply or even commits destructive actions such as violence or drug abuse. Instead of creating their own lives, they then again need the help of their mothers and fathers. This vicious circle doesn't have to go on that way. Even with an ill child, you can live a life on your own and learn to cope with the situation constructively.
