I received a free ecopy of Step Wilde from the author for my honest opinion.
This book has a bit of everything in it, angst, longing, chemistry, sensual moments, betrayal, nostalgia, Hollywood glam, quirky parents, and a spoiled backstabbing brat. And I loved every moment!! Olivia is working her way through college to join the Hollywood crowd, but behind the scenes, her dream, a screenwriter. Nick Wilde, bad-boy extraordinaire, meets our sweet and sassy Olivia on a drunkin night off campus and the chemistry is off the charts! Nick promises from the start that Olivia will fall in love with him. At first it's flirty and seems almost like a game just to get into her pants, which works, only due to Olivia trying to live in the moment. But when all is said and done, Nick turns into a complete jerk! We see how wild Wilde gets with this Hollywood lifestyle and fame, and same cocky demeanor we saw from him in college. But when fate lends a hand, Wilde will go wild for Olivia! From others seeing their chemistry, to the spoiled backstabbing brat Hailey out to sabotague and claim Mr. Wilde for her own. Step Wilde is a roller coaster ride with love, lust, disgust, flat out hatred, desperation and a HEA!!
Wilder is a heart breaker, he could have any girl he wanted in college, and generally did. One night, sweet little Olivia gives in and has a pretty incredible experience with him.
Then everything went down the tubes.
Fast forward seven years. Olivia has her dream job though it's not quite paying the bills. Her friend finds her a job in Italy that she'd need to leave for immediately. She's always want to see Italy and the money she just can't pass up so she agrees.
Once on set she finds the one man she never wanted to see again. Why? Because she never got over him.
Wilder is just as shocked to see Olivia behind the cameras. Now a bad boy of Hollywood, Wilder is working on recreating his image and his own film. He's also after Olivia.
This one made me want to pull my hair out at times. The ex being hired to act opposite Wilder was bad enough but the blackmail, making Olivia feel like dirt, I just wanted to punch Wilder and his ex. Luckily Olivia's willing to hear Wilder out concerning everything he's put her though and get us our much needed HEA.

The next great Step romance...
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and the storyline was great.
I hope Vesper Vaughn keeps writing because I will be more than h happy to keep reading.
Olivia is tired of the richly rich entitled shit who make her no. difficult. She is done pandering to @ssholes until cocksure Wilder and his wingman need help. She decides to live a little. It is either the best thing to happen to her or the biggest mistake of her life.
Wilder is impressed by Olivia and scared by his reaction to her. Fear causes him to make a mistake he regrets years later.
Seven years later, they are both in very different places in life. But with the help of a devious best friend, Lydia, they wind up in the same place. It may be seven years later but things don't feel so different.
Wilder is still a rich entitled ass. Olivia is still trying to get by.
Chemistry and casting make an awkward situation worse.
She's trying to forget. He wants more. Toss in a crazy, evil singer and a family reunion from Hell and you have Step Wilde.
it is a really great read with fun characters and a wild tale. You will not regret reading it.

The 'step' relationship barely comes into play in this book, despite what the book blurb says and that's a good thing because it wasn't needed. The characters don't even find out about the parents until the latter part of the book. Wilder was kind of sweet in the college one night stand with Olivia. Then things went wrong. Seven years later the two are reunited on the set of Wilde's new movie and he is determined to get back the girl of his dreams but his blackmailing ex will stop at nothing to prevent Wilde and Olivia from being together. This is an entertaining love story that I couldn't put down, even though there are moments I wanted to scream in frustration. I loved the writing. I laughed at the snappy dialogue and felt like crying when Olivia and Wilde were forced to part. This book is a great read with a satisfying HEA, as promised.

So..... the book wasn't bad. I liked how their relationship started and how it progresses however at point in the story I thought Wilde was a whimp. He didn't come off as being an alpha male especially dealing with Hailey, he didn't fight back, he didn't really fight for Olivia he just accepted his faith. I also thought Liv was in charge for most of the book, I understand that Wilde like how she stood up to him however his character could have taken more initiative. Nevertheless overall it was a good read.

This was my first book by this author and it was great. Olivia and Wild were in college at the same time he to become an actor and she to be a script writer. He of course is the school hound dog and she the not wild child. They get together for one night of passion then go their own ways. To find out how it ends you must read. This book was funny, sexy and well written. I loved the character. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

This was soo good! I haven't read a book in a while that I haven't been able to put down. The times I did put it down to function in real life, my mind was continually on this story! Fantastic. Honestly enjoyed this completely. A lot of twists and turns in here. Only thing I would add is I would have loved if Olivia had given the note to Nick in the end or something was done with his note. I was waiting for it to come up the whole book. Thanks so much for this read Vepser
