My name is Mason Sabre. I have been writing since I was a small child and discovered I could have a million adventures at the stroke of my pencil (I wasn't allowed to use pen back then). I have written more stories than I could even publish, some of them I wouldn't ever put out, but I have had a blast writing them. I love writing, I love reading. I love to have a fictional adventure. When I am not doing that I am with my children or studying. I have a lifelong love of learning too.
I live in the North of England. It's a little chilly here and a little wet, but it is what I call home and where pretty much all of my stories are based.
I absolutely loved this book!!! But oh my Mason how mean you are to all our beloved characters! You want to yell, scream and cry while reading. This book has brought the series so far.....What can happen next?
OMG!! I've enjoyed this series from the very first one "PHOENIX". They keep getting better and better! The emotional tension in this book had my stomach in knots and yes...Mr. Sabre had me crying! I'm so excited for all you to read this story! The action was also fun! UGH...I want to say so much more, but I'm not going to do rob you all of the fun in reading it for yourselves!! I'm looking forward to what happens next!
Mason Sabre never ceases to amaze me with how he keeps his readers spellbound by his powerful way with words. I experienced so many emotions when reading this next installment in the outstanding Society Series.
We are introduced to Cathy who is placed between a rock and hard place. Her own opinions and feelings scream at her that the actions she must make are so wrong, but to not go ahead with the instructions she has been given will endanger the stability of her own family life.
The whole unfairness of the situation that the characters that I have grown to love face, is truly heartbreaking and I recommend that you have tissues on hand! This series just keeps getting better and better. It's addictive and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Hidden is the fourth book--and second novella--in Mason Sabre's Society series, and I must say that with each new book out, I get more and more addicted to this series. A continuation of Cade and Gemma's story, this book is filled with intrigue, suspense, surprise and intense emotion, and you can't help but be sucked into this amazing world of Others and Humans.
In this book, we are introduced to Cathy and Jeff, two new characters who play a very important role in Cade, Gemma and Stephen's future. Not inherently bad, they are, however, forced to commit an act that has devastating consequences for our three main characters. Despite what they are made to do, you will find it hard to dislike Cathy, who is sympathetic and loathe to do what has been demanded of her.
Cade and Gemma expected this time in their life to be a new beginning, an exciting start to the rest of their lives. But fate deals them a cruel hand, and we made to feel their devastation just as intensely as if it were our own. Things take an unexpected turn for Stephen as well, and we are left to wonder what the future now holds in store for this powerful tiger, who we have all come to love.
If there were any feelings of sympathy for the alpha of this story, they soon dissipate with certain decisions he makes. Again, we are left eager and wanting, anxiously awaiting to see where this new road will take our protagonists.
Mason Sabre has a great talent for telling stories. His exceptional writing skills and plot-weaving have you hooked from the very start. With the risk of saying too much and giving away the story, I will just say that this book, once again, is a winner, and absolutely worth the read. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to read the following book and see where this fantastic author takes the story next!
I was a Beta reader for this book, so I finished it long before it was released.
OMG! This book was so difficult for me to read as a mother who could not get pregnant and had to adopt both of my kids. I had to keep setting it aside, but was relentlessly drawn back to the story until I finished it. To read the problems of the pregnant couple about to deliver and the untenable position of the couple who run the Outcast clinic is truly heart stopping. I swear I went through a box of Kleenex reading this fourth installment in The Society Series.
Each book has added to the depth of our understanding of Society rules, for both Humans and Others. Hidden is no different. We are introduced to our first bear shifter and learn about the wheelings and dealings that occur in the Society. I highly recommend this book and look forward to book five to see what happens to our favorite tiger shifter, Stephen, as well as a follow up on Cathy and Jeff, Cade and Gemma.
This is the 4th book in The Society Series by Mason Sabre, Mason just gets better and better with this series, it's so well thought out and so well writen, it starts where book 3 Dark Veil left off ( or practically ) In this book we get loads of different emotions, you will definitely need the tissues. We are introduced to a new couple who are tiger/bear shifters, Cathy and Jeff owe a big dept and now it's payback time, Cathy really doesn't want to carry out the request but knows she must to protect her family, ( would you do anything to protect your family ). I really NEED the next book Exile NOW as i need to know what happens next, what happens to our favourite characters, Phoenix, Cade and Gemma, and Stephen, are they ok? Thank you Mason another winner, looking forward to more from The Society Series.
Hidden in a lot of ways could mimic the dark parts of society. Whispers of atrocities unimaginable to speak out allowed. Like watching the news where children are caught up in a war, being killed because of where they were born, even in a lot of ways raising the question regarding humanity as a whole and deeming something different as an abomination to the normal, or not understanding something and using it to advantage those with the power to hurt. There are a lot of life lessons in this read that leaves you with more questions than answers.
Hidden for me in a lot if ways does that. The author has a real knack for theatrics that are subtle yet have the 'punch in the gut' kind of effect when you read his work. He also has the ability to not only describe a scene where you feel the emotion from each character, but writes in a way that allows you as the reader to imagine the scene as you see it in your mind, like watching a movie for the first time. Without thinking about it, your mind tries to anticipate what happens in this read.
It follows Cade and Gemma, two of the favourite characters of the series and the heartbreak they go through during the story. It follows the beginnings of their child, how special the child is and the destruction and betrayal surrounding their new life. But there is also a silver lining to the story, ok not really but there's a sense of hope for what the future holds that you want to cling to for everyone involved. Except the bad dudes, because well they're bad and probably deserve everything they get, but you should read it to make up your own mind.
I've given it a 4 star rating just because the story is a little confusing in some parts for me and your have to reread a couple scenes over to clarify but other than that, can't go wrong with this read filled with shifters of various kinds, dumb humans, heartache and hope, and can be read as a stand alone. I'd highly recommend ready the whole series, probably in order and not like me starting at book 2, then 5 and going back to read all the ones I've missed in between.
I didn't want it to end! I started Hidden right after finishing Dark Veil and I couldn't put it down. This book was so full of secrets and excitement. My heart crying for Gemma and Cade. But understanding Malcolm's reasoning. Omg. What a ride. I cannot wait for Exile to come out.
Wow just Wow! Cathy and Jeff taking on Sebastian the grandson of Malcolm head of the tribal council. What a book there is lies, betrayal, murder and love! This book has it all. Mason Sabre Wow what a story. Please hurry with next book!!!
Excellent continuation in the Society series, I am partial to this story and that awesome pup Turbo! Looking forward to this series and the spin-offs they are awesome!
I don't know what to say. I'm so speechless that this review will be short. I'm shocked, disturbed and completely speechless. Oh my gosh that battle. The baby, the couple tiger/bear (Jeff/Cathy). Malcom I just can't believe this was his plan. Everything went wrong. And to find out of Stephen's death oh my gosh. Or his fake death is heart wrenching for me. I loved Stephen and the connection he had with his family and friends. Oh my gosh can't wait to get to next book. I'm really upset I didn't get my HEA. We don't know much about the couple raising the baby (Tiger/Wolfe). I'm ugh....😪😪
This has to be one of the most heartbreaking, yet inspirational, stories I've read in quite some time. Forced to make some difficult decisions, Cathy and Jeff do the only thing they can do to keep themselves safe. Even if it means tragedy for others. Hidden is an amazing book, further depicting the dangers of Society and what happens to those who break the rules. Mason Sabre weaves a masterful tale with brilliant characters and a story that is engaging and emotional. Definitely a must read.
This story is all about dealing with the inner turmoil of doing what you are told to do, even though you know damn well it’s a bad thing to do. It’s about a choice between causing yourself grief or creating pain and misery for someone else.
Amazingly well written! Also quite interesting, because the story is about Cade and Gemma, but they are not the main characters.
Definitely reading the rest of the Society series !
Hidden had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! I am definitely addicted to this series- Mason Sabre’s creative way of writing plunks you right in the story. With an amazing attention to details, this world envelops you, you can’t help but feel connected. I can’t wait to start the next book in the Society Series-Broken Snow. ~Angie❤️
OMG! I love reading Mason Sabre stories. This is the fourth book in the Society series. This is a fast and easy story. It only took me a few hours to read. I was not able to put it down. I was so shocked by the outcome but understood why. Now I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Keep up the awesome work!! I HIGHLY recommend this series to EVERYONE!!!!
That was the most heartbreaking 10 chapters of any book I’ve read this year! This series is just getting better with every book. I just don’t know how they can get over losing the baby and Stephen has fine lost the plot! I for one wanted to strangle Malcom even if I kinda get his motives! Once again this book shows how horrid humans can be too.
This was good insight to what happened from a different perspective, but I wish we had heard more from Gemma and Cade. And the short but about Stephen left you wanting to know what is going on. Ready for the next one!
This wasn't a bad story but there was SO much information that was left out. No transition from book 3 to book 4 and that was annoying. Also...the whole thing with Stephen at the end? Please, just throw that in there and explain nothing. So frustrating.
Oh my God. What the hell did I just read?! This series is absolutely outstanding. I’ve been addicted to The Society since book #1, and I can’t tell you how much I loved (hated?) this fourth installment. An exceptional read, jaw-dropping and totally heart-breaking, that had me on edge from first page to the last.
I am heartbroken. Somehow, when I started this book, I didn't realize it was the last one, that the next in the series is not out yet. Now I have all these feelings, and emotions and questions, and no answers!!
This really was one of the more emotional books in the series, in my opinion. We meet Cathy and Jeff, a tiger shifter and wolf shifter, who run a clinic for Others that can't go anywhere else. In this book, they're forced to make a difficult, emotional decision that will affect so many others. The author really makes you feel the agony of this decision, and then shows you why this choice was so important. He also drops a big surprise on you at the end of the book too, which is why I'm now so depressed and heartbroken over the next book not being out yet! Please hurry with the sequel, I NEED to know what happens!!
The world building in this series is so bad. The character development is non existent.... Stephen... Wouldn't it be nice to know what is going on with him, but we never find out, it seems like the author was aiming for mysterious and failed miserably. The passage of time between the books in the series is stupid, yes at the end of the third book let's have them heading of to exile because no one could know about the pregnancy and then in this novella they haven't left and Gemma is giving birth. The plot holes were never ending. I'm so annoyed I continued with this series after the second one. I should have stopped made up my own story and it would have been better than this. I have no idea how this series got so many decent reviews.
I could keep going about all the he things that irked me, but I won't. Just don't do it to yourself.
This book is an absolute page turner... From the gasps to the screams and the OH NO's! I wasn't sure where Mason was taking us with this fourth book to the Society Series but, oh what a ride it was.
Cade and Gemma are each others mates... A forbidden love being as though Cade is a wolf and Gemma a tiger. Both with strong bloodlines and expecting their first child. Are they able to keep this a secret from the Society or will they lose everything?
Can't wait for the next book to release! Exile (Book 5)
A wonderful continuation of the Society Series. I know I've said this before but hell this man, Author Sabre, can WRITE! This one was a sad one that had your heart aching and your eyes a little misty. I was upset with this character Cathy and her hubs Jeff and what they were doing, but then towards the end, I think I understood the reasoning. This series has captivated me from the beginning and the way the story is told, written, where the words just jump off the page and digs deep into your heart, just makes it all worth reading. Highly recommend!
