Hyperlipidemia

Rate this book
This case-oriented program is designed for all physicians who treat patients with hyperlipidemias. It emphasizes the concept of "risk factors", and on integrating the other major cardiovascular risk factors into the decision to start pharmacologic therapy for a given patient. In addition to the cases which allow the user to see the results of the therapies chosen, the program also includes a synopsis of the clinical pharmacology of each of the agents used to lower lipids. At times the "patients" will have an adverse reaction to a perfectly appropriate therapy, just as in real life. The program provides lay-oriented teaching material for the user's review as patient education, which is an important factor in management. Windows Compatible
